I guess after seeing, and reading enough isekai anime/manga/novels to recognize that the concept is saturated, finding something that hits all the hallmarks, adds an uncommon twist, but nails the consistency and executes, that's enough to make it stand out? I can't really put a finger on it, but this one, parry everything, ossan newbie, vending machine, realist hero, and a handful of others are just different enough that they stand out for me. And oddly enough, I can forgive bad 3d integration, or "economical" animation, as long as the presentation is consistent throughout and the pacing, and just the flow of the story, in general, is well, consistent. I dunno why, but long-running anime, when the pacing changes, it's jarring enough to make me want to drop it. Like, I haven't watched the last 5 episodes of One Piece because they started doing flashbacks and side stories, even though I'm otherwise up to date. I'll watch everything I missed if I see a thumbnail that indicates that we're back to the main action.
