I also liked that they basically just made the movie anime-canon, because near the end you saw Benimaru's movie-only pseudo big brother Hiiro sharing a drink with Benimaru, and in the next image you see Princess Towa and her Ministers, with her seemingly offering the mighty tipsy Rimuru a glass of cold water.

They oversimplify his character to the point that it's just about the meme to them. It's not like he's trying to be that way. These people are not giving him any benefit of the doubt: he was just introduced in the story, give it some time, something could change.

2024-09-20 17:26:07 +0000 UTCI don't get the Masayuki hate, even if he has MC energy and cheat skill, it's not like it'll break the 4th wall and change the MC of the show. It's unique enough in the genre for the MC to be the demon lord, I think it's even more interesting to me to see an MC rise to become the demon lord, and then continue the story and have the demon lord meet the new MC's. It makes the story more alive than shows with a hero MC and the McGuffin Demon Lord.
