Man looking back at these events knowing certain things from the LN is actually pretty interesting. Still these next few episodes are definately gonna be the highlights of this season for sure!

He's acting as if he doesn't suspect him, and Yuuki's acting as if he doesn't think Rimuru doesn't at the very least suspect him, but Rimuru wants to observe Yuuki more, Yuuki actually wants to have fun and observe Tempest, and they are in a subtle tug-of-war. Rimuru still doesn't have proof. The whole thing with Kagali is partly because they know Rimuru is in charge of the ruins on Clayman's land, and Rimuru wants to see what they'll do. In the meantime they can treat each other as friends. I think Rimuru is more sincere. Also, with Masayuki, Rimuru had already decided he wasn't going to get into fights with random people who want to challenge him, especially during the festival, so he had already said he would only fight the winner of the tournament. Masayuki figures, it'll work out probably, but he really doesn't want to fight, and he's not good at letting his admirers' expectations down. Besides, Rimuru's proposal successfully delayed the confrontation for a few days. Those with Unique Skills are unaffected by Chosen One. This is also an example of when Yuuki doesn't seem to be furthering an agenda by trying to convince Masayuki's party not to take a hostile stance against Rimuru.
