Every other case of skills gained from being isekai-ed shown till now have all been "acquired." Case in point, Rimuru in ep1 of season 1 and Hinata during her flashback earlier this season 3.

Basically, imagine it as if they suddenly came upon a spatial distortion or rift in reality that led to them accidentally ending up in another world.

Veldora didn't chose to live in the Jura Forest. There didn't use to be a giant forest there. The Jura Forest grew BECAUSE of Veldora living there. His aura affecting the whole of the Jura Forest even while he was sealed is the reason why the trees in it and the rest of the nature there always grow super fast and why the Jura Forest has monsters spawning at random anywhere in it. This is also probably why the dryad sisters became Veldora's subordinates 2000+ years ago after the Spirit Queen(ramiris) disappeared on them. Because in a way, Veldora can be said to be a patron deity for plant based monsters and spirits like Treants and Dryads. Since his aura literally helps them grow.

I've been watching them leave out information in Slime all the time, but I think this is the first time I feel like they didn't get a mid-to-main character's personality right. Not that it's completely wrong, there's just something off about it. It's about how he feels about his life. Here he just looks kinda resigned to it all, but he really doesn't like this situation he's in, he doesn't really feel anyone understands him, and as I said, he feels like a fraud. Even those that aren't affected by his Skill don't quite get it. He knows it has saved his life, but he wishes he could be his real self more.

2024-08-02 18:15:52 +0000 UTCYou have to ask, why does Masayuki have the Unique Skill Chosen One? It almost looked like he had that Skill already and merely unlocked it by performing a heroic action. And why did he get transferred to the Slime World? It looks like luck, but it's only that in part. People get sucked in, and they think he's something he's not, and he feels like a fraud. He also feels like people only drawn to him because of his Skill, because there's a Charm component to it, and he can't turn off any part of the Skill. He can't control what the general public says about him either. Luckily some people are resistant (it's a Unique Skill). You can see Yuuki for one is not affected. A few episodes back Yuuki said he was going to give the Orthrus job to "that guy" to give him something to do. Oh, and he had dyed his hair blonde back in Japan. That's actually important data. ........ I don't think they told the Masayuki story very clearly, but I will have to think a little more about it, I might come around.

2024-08-02 17:40:39 +0000 UTCThe only thing relating to the manga that Veldora reads is, unless Rimuru has read a serious boat load of manga, and can then "print" off volumes when Veldora finishes one; since Rimuru has been in this world for more than 2 years now, how is he making "new" manga? His brain would only have the memory of what he himself has read up to. He will never know how they all end. The manga Veldora is reading is "How Not To summon a Demon Lord" Its Rem and Shera on the cover.
