Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 4 Live Reaction (FULL)

I think this episode demonstrates just how essential a good communication between the original author and the scriptwriter is. This is the true potential all along. As creatives, they clearly have no problem getting their passion across while still making it easy for each other understand in a snap. It strikes the right balance of adapting the story for a new medium while retaining all the core elements that gave the work its identity. Really shows how bad the corporate meddling really screwed up what these two could've have had since the very beginning. It's easy to blame the author's poor social skills and her temperament but the fact of the matters is that it was never a her vs scriptwriter GOA situation, but the negative impacts of the middlemen bozos phoning it in (on that telephone game in episode 2) have on the end results. You ended up with an author who feels more and more upset and stressed because her critiques were promptly ignored each time, and ultimately, the scriptwriter GOA took all the blames despite not fully on board with the changes that were shoddily communicated by the middlemen. We know GOA worked hard for this, and he was introduced as a genuine and approachable person which makes it easy for us to side with him and easy to side against the author, but ultimately, middlemen bozos put words in her mouth and told him to make changes accordingly, of course it was never gonna turn out well. Those are the people who should be pointed at and be asked to get better communication skills. Even the two-tone hair producer was harping on some BS about the manga's team not understanding the play a couple of episodes back... which begs the question why didn't he go over there and explain what the play is exactly to her like he did in this episode? Surely he could've similarly offered the author a ticket to go see a damn play that the scriptwriter GOA scripted like Aqua had done in last episode and that could've solved tons of potential problems but no, he too was part of the problem and got too far up his ass to bother talking directly with the author, probably thinking it's just another meek one that'll keep her head down like the Sweet Today author (the one with the botched drama adaptation), glad he got an eye opening experience with this bitch lol This episode showed clearly that it was an incredible learning experience for both the author and the production team. That kind of clear communication is the type of things is something both sides should strive for even in the real world.

I wonder how those people who claimed that the author should do the script play will react to this episode
