Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 2 Live Reaction (FULL)

the fact that the scriptwriter has been a fan since chapter 1 to be shot down by a childish author like that was PAIN! fantastic drama and I love how they are diving into this side of the medium but I am completely anti-author here she is 100% in the wrong even if I understand why she feel fed up! this does boil down to an issue with the game of telephone but the core issue is an author not getting an adaptation has to be different to fit a new medium and audience

I am not against Abiko at all, I can totally see her problems but I am not against GOA either. Neither of them are the real problem here. It's the intermediaries that inject their own interpretations into Abiko's requests to the point that the initial intention isn't even there anymore, screwing over GOA who tries to take them into account only to work completely opposite to what Abiko wants, while also failing at communicating anything to her.

This reminds me so much of what I have heard happened. When they did adapt Steven King The Shining into a movie. Where he got so pissed off and annoyed by it. That he afterwards did create his own adaption that was a 1 to1 adaption. So the moral of the story is even if you are a best selling author. You should still listen to the people who actually knows how you adapt that certain medium

19:07 Well so has the author... So I don't share your dislike for her. I fully get her perspective. Given that she criticized things and then the revisions made it even worse (in her view), the frustration must be pretty big. Honestly the one objectively stupid thing in that situation is that communication flow. How come no one ever said "It seems we are talking past each other, we (author and script writer) should talk personally". I mean did the author ever even get feedback on her feedback? The writer had that great explanation for Akane last episode on why that one change was made, but were things like that ever explained to the author? Seems like everyone was like "sure I'll pass that along" to her. And now the author has the feeling her requests are getting ignored but the writer thinks he takes all of them into account...

Yeah also my favorite arc, really gave me perspective of what an "adaptation" truly is.

I think if the author wasn't such a shut in and had better social skills the anger she had would have been received better. it's a bad situation for both sides but I hope she can chill cause she is going to ruin the whole production at this rate

When I read how the scriptwriter felt in the manga and how he was a fan since chapter 1, it made me so anti author, I am 100% with you on the author being super childish and not understanding how different mediums change a story, loved the reaction looking forward to the YouTube video
