It's obvious now but yes, the tournament won't happen this season. It might start next season but it is more likely it will happen in season 3. It is a much bigger deal than you think right now and is the core of the show. The tournament itself started in volume 3 and hasn't finished by volume 5 to give you an idea of the scale. (BTW: this season is covering vol 1) Also your not done with intros sadly, there are some more in volume 2 and 3 but no more after that.
