In the manga she recognize him bc she broke his mask and force him to use magic. She got desperate that the one who save them dont trust her enough. And she outplay him and force him to use his sword to prouve she can be of use for him. He did use it and give Alpha regognition she did have grow stronger before knoking her off. You should also pay attention to what Cid write on his book lol. Sry if i have mispell few thigns english not my first language. Love the reaction as always keep going
