Chapter 3: Earth 2

Earth 2

Naruto gazed down in revulsion at the pitiful realm beneath him. He had received a unique mission from his father, Darkseid, to take control of this world—a task that Steppenwolf had failed to accomplish five years prior.

"That worthless coward must have either perished or is too scared to return, knowing he would be seen as a failure. Either way, he’s going to face consequences," Naruto considered, aware that Darkseid showed no mercy. For a fool like Steppenwolf, the new god would definitely endure pain, and just thinking about it made Naruto smile.

Naruto resolved to collect some intelligence before taking his next action, so he descended to a secluded area of the planet. With the help of his father, his attire changed to resemble that of the locals he encountered, allowing him to blend in seamlessly.

Dressed in sneakers, jeans, and a t-shirt, the new god strolled through the streets of what ought to be a conquered planet, had it not been for Steppenwolf's shortcomings. Typically, such conquered worlds are exploited to channel energy to Apokolips, or their inhabitants are turned into Parademons if they or their planet lack any other worth.

Naruto observed the people meandering through their meaningless existence. While Steppenwolf had accomplished a significant feat by eliminating most of the heroes in this realm, he ultimately fell short by allowing the planet absorption device to be destroyed.

Naruto reflected on the situation and realized that the only explanation for Steppenwolf's absence from Apokolips, along with his irritating smirk, was that he had failed to complete his mission of supplying the planet with lifeforce. He sensed that the lifeforce of the planet was still robust, which shouldn't be the case if Steppenwolf had succeeded in his task.

Typically, conquered planets are classified into specific categories: those designated for breeding involve mating the females of the planet to produce more new gods; those intended to nourish Apokolips, the realm of the malevolent new gods that sustains itself by consuming other worlds; and those utilized for generating Parademons by exploiting the local population.

Naruto pondered, "What should I tackle first?" He considered locating Steppenwolf and returning him to Apokolips for retribution, or he could seize control of the world himself. Alternatively, he could take a more discreet approach.

Fast Forward

Metropolis [Library]

"That's quite intriguing," Naruto said quietly as he sat at a computer, searching for information about the events of the Steppenwolf invasion five years prior. "I had no idea that failure had a daughter, and with Wonder Woman from this dimension, no less."

Naruto observed several videos featuring a hybrid of Amazon and New God who referred to herself as Fury. In these clips, she showcased remarkable strength, comparable to that of her mother, and displayed a merciless attitude as she played a role in the downfall of the Justice League in this universe.

"That's strange," Naruto pondered, glancing at Fury, a fully grown woman. "When did Steppenwolf manage to have a daughter with the Wonder Woman from this universe?"

Naruto considered two scenarios: either Steppenwolf had been secretly visiting Earth 2 on his own and had a hidden relationship with Wonder Woman, keeping it a secret from Darkseid, which seemed improbable since the malevolent ruler of the New Gods was aware of everything occurring on Apokolips.

Another possibility is that Steppenwolf could have been stuck on Earth 2 for longer than just five years, potentially even twenty years or more. This scenario is more likely because it's not unusual for time to flow differently between the mortal realm and the Fourth World, where the New Gods reside.

"Something akin to that occurred during my conquest of Earth 242," Naruto reflected, recalling his experiences in that realm filled with magic, witches, and wizards.

Naruto remembered breeding witches of all kinds, from white, black, tall, and short. Darkseid was interested to see what a new god with magic would look like; it would be interesting. Naruto cleared memories from his mind and focused back on what he learned about the invasion of Earth 2.

Wonder Woman was the first to be defeated, as she was attacked from behind by Steppenwolf and subsequently torn apart by the parademons. Following that, Superman found himself outnumbered and overpowered by the parademons. Naruto was left uncertain about his fate, since he believed that Kryptonians are notoriously difficult to eliminate. Meanwhile, Batman made the ultimate sacrifice to destroy the absorption machine.

"That idiot Steppenwolf clearly didn't realize what he was up against with the human known as Batman," Naruto remarked, using his father box to return everything he discovered to Darkseid, who would undoubtedly be enraged at Steppenwolf's failure on such an easy task. "I should be on planet 258, focusing on breeding the women right now," Naruto added, feeling exasperated at having to deal with the fallout from his fellow new god's blunders.

Planet 258, discovered by Naruto, showed great potential and resembled a world filled with heroes and villains, akin to one he had previously conquered. However, this planet boasted even more formidable individuals. Among them was a woman with extraordinary psychic abilities, along with her sister, who possessed similar powers, albeit at a lesser strength. Naruto managed to defeat both of them and subsequently chose to breed with them personally.

"Then there was that bald guy," Naruto recalled with a fierce grin. He had faced a bald man with boundless strength; the more they fought, the stronger he grew. Naruto had to transport the man to Saturn for an all-out battle. The Viltrumite-New God Hybrid was astonished that the man remained unfazed by the planet's atmosphere. Their fight continued until Naruto finally emerged victorious, though not without sustaining injuries.

The battle against the bald human proved to be unexpectedly challenging; each time Naruto struck him, he returned even stronger than before. Eventually, the blonde Viltrumite-New God decided to unleash his full power.

"Too bad for him that he's not the only one who can get stronger in combat," Naruto mused with a grin. His Viltrumite lineage, amplified by Darkseid, typically allows his kind to gain strength over time and after recovering from serious wounds. However, he possessed those abilities along with a healing factor he honed just to endure life on Apokolips. "And let's not forget I have 'that' power."

Naruto recalled the journey of how he gained his unique abilities. Darkseid, intrigued by the idea, tested whether he could endure the fire pits of Apokolips, and not only did he survive, but the experience transformed him as well.

Following his triumph, he came back with the severed head of the bald man. Naruto's smirk diminished as he recalled being assaulted by a robot, which he had effortlessly defeated. It appeared that the bald man was the strongest in the world, and with him out of the way, Naruto and his parademons were able to conquer the world with ease.

Reflecting on it, Naruto realized that many of the planets he had conquered were primarily breeding grounds, he mused. He had taken some to Apokolips and even utilized others to replenish the parademon population, often employing a mix of strategies.

On certain planets, he partners with specific women, while also supporting Apokolips by using those deemed unworthy to generate more parademons.

Unfortunately for Earth 2, it lacks a significant number of powerful women. While there are some metahumans, Amazons, and aliens, they are not as plentiful as in the other 52 DC universes or the countless universes beyond the DC realm.

"Next, there’s the dark Multiverse," Naruto reflected, recognizing it as the realm filled with unstable universes, all fated for demise. "But perhaps I should consider exploring it; I might discover something or someone of worth there."

Although certain individuals are aware of the 52 DC universes, they remain unaware that there exists an infinite number of universes—some resembling their own and others vastly different, such as worlds governed by talking animals or those ruled by sentient machines.

With a cryptic grin, Naruto murmured to himself, "I believe I have a plan. Since my father didn't set a deadline for this mission, I can afford to go at my own pace."

Naruto realized that if his hypothesis was accurate, time on Earth 2 passed more quickly than on Apokolips, allowing him the opportunity to be away for months or even years without anyone realizing he was gone.

Fast Forward

Washington DC

Naruto couldn't help but smile as he observed a man he recognized as the Flash of this dimension dashing around, rescuing people from what appeared to be a decaying human corpse that was corrupting everything in its vicinity.

"This is perfect, even better than if I had organized it all myself," Naruto thought as he observed the Flash, Hawkgirl, and Green Lantern battling what appeared to be an undead being that caused decay in his surroundings. "Now I can make an entrance and gain their trust."

Naruto wasn't familiar with the specific heroes standing before him, but he had heard of the Justice League and its members from various dimensions, all thanks to Darkseid's influence.

Naruto had utilized his father box to alter his looks, transforming into a complete superhero outfit complete with a cape. His strategy was to seamlessly integrate into the realm of heroes, waiting for the moment Steppenwolf arrived. Confident in his abilities, Naruto believed he could overpower the older new god and take control of this world on his own.

Naruto wickedly imagined Steppenwolf’s expression as he brought him back to Apokolips to Darkseid to explain his shortcomings. Naruto figured he could let Steppenwolf pursue his foolish plans to take over this world, but that wouldn't be any fun, and the reincarnated shinobi hated the older new god and wanted to see him humiliated.

Naruto contemplated, a wicked grin spreading across his face, "I could always persuade my father to allow me to take Steppenwolf's daughter. I'm not sure how much he values her, but she's attractive and would make for a nice companion in bed."

Naruto refocus on the battle watching as the undead regenerate from all the damage green Lanturn dealt it with his energy basic attack and Hawkgirl used her pistols but nothing worked.

"This just keeps improving," Naruto mused as he observed a helicopter hovering over the fight. A man leaped from it, expanding to enormous size before crashing down onto the undead foes. "I don't think that's going to be enough to take it down."

Naruto observed the towering figure as he began to argue with Hawkgirl before launching an attack on her and the rest of the group. However, the confrontation was short-lived, as the undead reappeared, infuriating him. The undead then ensnared the giant man with twisted, decaying vines.

"It's time for me to make my appearance," Naruto declared as he launched himself at the undead, delivering a powerful punch that sent the other heroes flying.

"Who are you?" the towering man asked, rising to his feet, his irritation growing with the unfolding situation.

Naruto smirked, though no one noticed. "Feel free to call me Ultraman," the blonde new god declared. "But we should really concentrate on defeating this guy."

"You're correct," Green Lantern remarked, and then a thought struck him. "Can you all keep that thing busy while I attempt something?"

"What are you talking about?" the Flash inquired, but the Green Lantern was enveloped in green energy, lost in a trance. "I suppose we'll just have to watch over his body until he finishes whatever he's up to," he sighed.

"It seems that way," Hawkgirl said as she studied Naruto, attempting to understand him. However, she then shifted her attention to the enormous man who had returned to his regular size. "I understand you have your directives from the world army, but we need to collaborate to tackle this danger and sort everything out afterward."

"Alright," the towering figure replied, but deep down, he was already planning to seize them all once the undead threat was eliminated.

Naruto joined the group of heroes fighting against the undead, being cautious not to reveal all of his powers to avoid raising Steppenwolf's suspicions. However, he still utilized enough of his strength to fend off the undead whenever they got too close to Green Lantern, while the others did their utmost to support him.

The enormous figure, known as the Atom, attempted to leverage his size to fend off the undead, but ended up ensnared by vines. Hawkgirl's pistols proved useless, and the Flash, lacking experience, could only throw feeble punches and retreat.

"I've figured out how to overcome it," Green Lantern declared, his eyes wide open with a fierce determination as he soared into the sky with the undead, ascending higher and higher.

“Crap,” Hawkgirl shouted as she understood Green Lantern's intentions. However, that wasn't the only issue at hand; with their mutual adversary out of the picture, the Atom had reverted to being their enemy once more.

"You can't evade Kendra," the atom declared as he reached for Hawkgirl with his enormous hands. However, the Flash swooped in and rescued her just in time. "The world army commands your capture."

"Just leave me alone already," Kendra said as the flash whisked her away. Her eyes widened in shock when the new, unidentified hero delivered a powerful punch to The Atom's face, causing the enormous man to fall to the ground and revert to his normal size.

"That's enough of that," Naruto declared as he soared towards Hawkgirl and the Flash, who stared at him in disbelief. "I don't believe this is the right moment to be lingering here, especially since Green Lantern might still require our assistance."

Naruto's words jolted the two heroes back to reality, prompting them to gaze upward as they witnessed Green Lantern plummeting towards the ground at a rapid pace. They all arrived at the same realization: he must have drained his powers by venturing too far from Earth.

"I need to rescue him!" Hawkgirl shouted, but before she could act, Naruto soared into the air and snatched Green Lantern in the blink of an eye. Only the Flash was able to perceive the incredible speed at which he moved. "Wait, how did he reach that height so quickly?"

The Flash felt relieved that everyone was fine, while Hawkgirl regarded Naruto with a wary eye. She was unsure about the origins of this new hero and felt uneasy around him, but for the moment, she chose to simply observe him carefully.

A/N: Naruto has arrived on Earth 2, where he is disguising himself as a hero while he bides his time for Steppenwolf to take action. During this period, he is also collecting intel on the heroes of this world in preparation for his eventual plan to dominate Earth 2. Additionally, I might consider writing a bonus chapter featuring Naruto's adventures on the One Punch Man planet, where he faced off against Saitama and interacted with the psychic sisters then one of him in the Harry Potter Universe.
