"You've lost it, Sasuke. I won't allow you to have your way," Naruto declared firmly as he formed a well-known hand sign, summoning more than a dozen clones. "Believe it."

Sasuke glared at Naruto, feeling a mix of rage and jealousy. The Jinchuriki appeared to possess an endless supply of chakra, even after battling numerous foes, and now as they fought against each other, the blonde Uzumaki seemed to have more chakra than many Jounin.

"I refuse to be defeated by scum like you, Naruto!" Sasuke shouted furiously, unleashing every ounce of his strength to summon his Susanoo and counter Naruto and his pathetic clones.

Due to Sasuke's depleted chakra, his Susanoo was only manifested as an arm and ribcage. Despite its incomplete form, it remained formidable as he swung his hand at the clones, managing to dispel several of them. However, the remaining clones, equipped with Rasengans in their hands, struck the Susanoo with force.

Sasuke was propelled into the air by the impact of the Rasengans colliding with his Susanoo, leaving him vulnerable to the original attacker, who unleashed a Rasengan of their own. Realizing the danger, the Uchiha swiftly gathered his chakra to create a Chidori.

A sphere of chakra enveloped the two as they fought for supremacy, with Naruto's pure chakra clashing against Sasuke's lightning blade. Eventually, Naruto lost his patience and unleashed a series of strikes to Sasuke's face—not enough to end his life, but sufficient to render him unconscious.

"Release," Naruto said as he formed the hand seal, guiding Sasuke to do the same. He could feel the energy of everyone being freed from the grasp of the divine tree. Releasing Sasuke's hand, he glanced down at him with sympathy; his face was covered in blood, his lips were split, one eye was swollen and shut, his nose appeared broken, and his cheek was bruised.

"It didn't have to end up this way. You had the chance to rebuild the Uchiha clan into something remarkable, but you made your choices, not me," Naruto declared, feeling no remorse for the condition his former rival was in. His training under the waterfall of trust, where he learned to harness Kurama's chakra and embrace his darker side, transformed him, making him whole. He refused to allow someone like Sasuke to evade accountability for his actions simply because of a troubled history.

Naruto turned away from Sasuke, believing he had been defeated. However, what he didn't realize was that Sasuke, consumed by anger over losing his chance to kill the Kages now that they were liberated, was in a shattered state.

Sasuke's maniacal laughter echoed around him, even as his eyes shattered, rendering him blind, broken, and vulnerable. This was the state in which the shinobi army discovered him. They intended to probe his mind to uncover what had happened to Naruto. Once they did, Tsunade and several others were inclined to demand his execution, with Hinata and her Kage leading the call for Uchiha blood.

Fast Forward

Don't forget, he was responsible for Naruto's death, the hero of the Elemental Nation. The other nations won't accept him being let off lightly," Tsunade expressed with exasperation. We must not allow our emotions to dictate our decisions. Therefore, it is imperative that we consider the revival of the Uchiha clan to ensure the future security of our village," Koharu Utatane articulated, observing Tsunade’s apparent lack of response. To reinforce her point, she produced a scroll and presented it to Tsunade, stating, "This document contains a directive from the Daimyo mandating the preservation of Sasuke Uchiha's life to facilitate the revival of his clan."

"Go ahead and do as you please," Tsunade replied with a hint of resentment. "It's not like I can prevent you, but keep in mind that if I catch you coercing any Kunoichi into having Uchiha children, both you and him will face serious consequences."

The two elders acknowledged her with a nod and departed in silence, aware that Tsunade was serious about her statement. However, they felt assured that there were Kunoichi and civilians who would support the idea of having the future Uchiha clan reborn in Konoha.
