Chapter 10: Plots Set In Motion.

Flashback Scene Ahead

Village Hidden In The Leaves

Naruto stared intently at his adversary Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who returned the gaze with equal resolve. Both faced each other with unwavering determination, each refusing to back down.

"You will meet your end here, Insect," Momoshiki declared as he formed a chakra weapon and confronted Naruto in combat. "Experience and tremble before the might of the Otsutsuki clan."

"I don't believe that, you leech," Naruto said with a sneer. Aware that he needed to approach the battle with gravity, he expertly entered his sage mode, evading and countering Momoshiki's attacks.

In Naruto's perfect sage mode, his eyes transform into a vibrant orange due to the combination of Kurama's chakra and his own. Additionally, distinctive markings appear on his face, extending from his eyes to his whisker marks, which become darker and more pronounced.

This transformation goes beyond just a visual shift; Naruto acquired new powers that he refined with the toad sages. His strength, speed, and durability surged to exceptional levels, along with a significant increase in his chakra reserves.

As they battled, Naruto adeptly guided Momoshiki away from the village, understanding that if their fight remained close to it, numerous lives would be at risk.

"Stay still, you worthless creature," Momoshiki spat as Naruto evaded his strikes just in time. This was a crucial aspect of the Uzumaki's toad sage mode—the capacity to perceive threats and evade them with extraordinary reflexes.

The blonde's thoughts turned to what little he knew about the Otsutsuki clan. His knowledge was limited, primarily gleaned from Kurama, the toads, and his own explorations where he uncovered remnants of Kaguya's legacy. He understood that her clan consisted of extraterrestrial parasites that traversed dimensions, using the Ten Tails to drain planets of their energy to enhance their own strength.

They journey together in pairs, and it seems that one must offer themselves to the ten tails in order to create a whole chakra fruit. Kaguya was supposed to be the one sacrificed, but she betrayed her companion and ended up taking an incomplete chakra fruit for herself.

Kaguya realized that members of her clan would eventually learn about her actions, so she sought to create an army of white Zetsu to assist her in battling them.

"Sure, as if a group of feeble Zetsu could assist her in battling anyone strong," Naruto mused. He questioned whether Kaguya was either desperate or foolish to believe that an army of white Zetsu could stand a chance against formidable opponents like Momoshiki.

Naruto snapped out of his contemplation as he seized Momoshiki and activated his flying thunder god technique, transporting them to a remote desert in the land of sand, far from any villages, allowing him to unleash his full power.

The Otsutsuki shot a furious glare at Naruto, who met it with just as much intensity. The two formidable beings began to blur out of sight, and with a deafening crash, they collided, unleashing a torrent of taijutsu and ninjutsu that rattled the very foundations of the world, an event not witnessed since the time of the Sage of Six Paths.

Fast Forward

Naruto gazed anxiously at the diamond-shaped seal in his hand. After overcoming Momoshiki Otsutsuki, he couldn't believe the audacity of the villain to leave his mark on him.

"Damn it," Naruto muttered, grappling with the implications of the mark. It signified that Momoshiki intended to seize his body and revive himself. "Not while I'm around—I'd rather perish than let that jerk claim my body."

Flashback Scene End

Cadmus Base

Professor Hamilton had, naturally, decided to give up and reached out to Amanda Waller. Using his phone, he initiated the call, casting a worried glance at Galatea and Claire, who were both staring at him with silent hopes that he wouldn't make a foolish move. To their dismay, the phone rang three times before someone finally answered.

"What is it that you want, Hamilton?" a commanding female voice inquired. "I instructed you to only reach out if it’s a matter of life or death, and given that you’re still alive, it clearly isn’t."

Naruto observed with a hint of amusement as Amanda Waller reprimanded Hamilton, the very woman the Uzumaki was eager to meet. He hoped at least she would collaborate with him rather than oppose him or attempt to dominate him.

"I asked the Professor to reach out to you, Ms. Waller," Naruto said quickly, interrupting Professor Hamilton before he could say something that might irritate the African American woman. "I'm Kage, a former member of the Justice League, and we have a lot to talk about."

Although Amanda Waller was taken aback by Naruto's sudden appearance, she concealed her surprise. Instead, there was a moment of silence that everyone recognized as the calm before the impending chaos. Naruto envisioned Waller shooting Hamilton a deadly glare that hinted at imminent danger.

"You spineless traitor, you betrayed me to the Justice League!" Amanda shouted at Hamilton with disdain. "I promise, you'll pay for this."

Naruto observed as the woman directed threats toward Hamilton, causing the man to flinch as if he were being struck by her words.

Galatea and Claire wore looks of astonishment as they absorbed Ms. Waller's comments about what she planned to do to their creator. They made a mental note of some of the threats she mentioned, intending to keep them for future use.

"Ms. Waller, I believe you may not have understood me. I’m no longer a member of the Justice League; I am now an independent hero, and I would like for us to collaborate to safeguard this world," Naruto expressed, causing Amanda to halt her intimidation of Hamilton. There was a moment of silence as she seemed to ponder his words.

"How can I be sure you're not working as a spy for the League?" Waller asked, and it clicked for her. Although the League typically avoids covert operations, individuals like Batman and the Question do engage in them, making it plausible for him to enlist other members of the Justice League for undercover assignments.

Naruto contemplated the question posed by the woman and considered how he could demonstrate that he is no longer connected to the Justice League.

"I'm not a spy from the League, and I know I can't prove it to you, but I’m tired of how things are currently being handled," Naruto stated, drawing everyone's focus. "Heroes capture villains, only for them to break out and harm innocent people again. It's time for someone to put an end to this endless cycle."

Amanda scoffed on the other end of the line, "You really believe that's you? Get serious. What do you think you can do against powerhouses like Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman?" Her voice carried a hint of frustration, and Naruto figured she was referring to her ongoing struggle with dealing with those three formidable members of the league.

Superman, often referred to as the Man of Steel, earned this title for good reason. His immense power, incredible speed, unparalleled strength, and remarkable durability make him nearly invincible. However, he does have vulnerabilities, particularly his susceptibility to Kryptonite and the effects of magic.

Next up is Wonder Woman, who can be seen as a less powerful version of Superman, lacking his additional extraterrestrial powers. However, she compensates for this with her extensive combat training and magical abilities. In some respects, she poses a greater threat than Superman due to her skills as a seasoned fighter.

Next, we have the Flash, a character who seemingly defies the limits of time and speed, which should be unattainable. Yet, he manages to do just that. The Flash has the ability to move through time and across dimensions, making encounters with him potentially more challenging than those with the other two characters.

Some individuals may argue that Batman and Green Lantern pose a similar threat, but ultimately, they are just humans equipped with advanced technology—nothing more. If someone were to catch them off guard, it could easily lead to their downfall.

While some individuals might consider Cyborg and Shazam to be major threats, it’s important to note that Cyborg can be hacked and has a human side, while Shazam, despite his immense strength, is ultimately just a child and can be easily deceived.

"Although I don't pretend to be as strong as those three, I'm confident that if it came down to a one-on-one fight, I wouldn't be defeated," Naruto stated boldly. Galatea nodded in agreement; he had easily bested her in their earlier encounter, which stung her pride but also intrigued her. "That's where my plan comes into play. I'm going to assemble a team of heroes that will be connected to the government but won't take orders from them. Let's face it, governments come and go, but one thing remains constant: they are all corrupt in one way or another."

"Why would the government choose to support you if you're not employed by them?" Ms. Waller inquired with curiosity, causing Naruto to smile to himself. "What benefits does the government stand to receive?"

"The government will have a safeguard and a response to the league, while the team I aim to create won't be a direct government agency. Instead, it will collaborate with the government to shield it and the citizens from both villains and heroes," Naruto stated firmly, emphasizing his message. "We won't be conventional heroes; we will act as hunters or a covert operations team, taking on the tasks that heroes shy away from—eradicating those who pose a threat once and for all."

Amanda remarked, clearly unimpressed, "So you're thinking of assembling a team of assassins? Just so you know, I've already got one."

"Are you referring to the Suicide Squad and the Creature Commandos?" Naruto inquired, causing Amanda to go quiet on the phone. Although her two black ops teams weren't classified, their names were not meant to be disclosed. "The team I aim to create will take lives if necessary, similar to how police officers operate, not like the criminals and monsters you've assembled."

"I have no trust in you," Amanda said steadily, masking her true feelings. "However, I'm open to listening to what you have to say, but it will be on my terms and at a time and location I decide. Otherwise, don't bother trying to collaborate with me."

"That's alright," Naruto remarked, noticing the expression of surprise on Hamilton's face. The professor likely believed that Amanda would never even think about collaborating with a hero.

"Take this phone and hold onto it; I'll be in touch," the dark-skinned woman said before the call ended. She genuinely didn't cared about Hamilton’s destiny and secretly wished for Naruto to take out the feeble-minded professor.

Naruto was contemplating his real objective, which involved leveraging Amanda Waller's influence in the government to reach those who were opposed to the Justice League. This was why he chose not to approach the government directly; he was uncertain about who would be willing to take the necessary actions and who supported the League.

Naruto realized that Waller would ultimately attempt to seize power and double-cross him. However, he believed that if he acted first and secured some allies within the government, he could outmaneuver her. He had already strategized for nearly every scenario he anticipated Waller would pursue.

"Thank you for your assistance, Professor. I’ll be on my way now," Naruto said as he chose to let the Professor go and grabbed his phone.

"Hold on, is that really all there is to it?" Galatea asked, causing Naruto to pause and lift an eyebrow. "You're just going to walk away after everything that happened?"

"Yes, I achieved my goal: I found a way to connect with someone who can help me reach out to individuals in the government willing to back a government-sanctioned hero or enforcement team," Naruto said, glancing at Hamilton, who was attempting to shrink back as he realized Kage was about to abandon him with the angry clones he had created.

"Please bring me along," Claire said unexpectedly, causing Naruto to turn and stare at her in bewilderment. He couldn't understand why she would want to accompany him after just gaining her freedom and independence, but he figured she might not have anywhere else to go.

"Alright, you can stay with us until you find a place where you fit in," Naruto said as Claire approached him. After being released, she had worn a blank expression, but now he noticed a subtle smile on her face.

“Hey, why does she get to go with you? I want to join too,” Galatea said, pouting. She glanced at Hamilton as she noticed him trying to reach for what appeared to be a concealed button. She had no idea what it did and wasn’t interested in discovering it. “If you touch that, I’ll roast you,” she warned.

"I didn't," Hamilton managed to say, wincing as Galatea's eyes lit up red with her heat vision. "Hold on, I can be helpful to you guys."

"Let’s give the professor some space, ladies; he could be beneficial to us later," Naruto stated, coming to Hamilton's aid, much to the professor’s relief and the irritation of the clones. "Don’t assume he’ll escape his wrongdoings scot-free; I’m certain Waller has plans for him."

Hamilton felt a chill at Naruto's words; it was indeed accurate that Waller was notorious for her unforgiving demeanor, as she neither forgives nor forgets.

The clones contemplated Naruto's words and exchanged sinister smiles, reflecting on what they had just heard about Waller inflicting even greater torment on Hamilton than they could imagine.

Naruto and the clones abandoned Hamilton, who was left with his head in his hands, desperately trying to come up with a strategy to evade Waller until she settled down.

A/N: Another chapter of this tale is complete. While it may not have featured a lot of action, it laid the groundwork for Naruto's team. Now, he has two additional extraterrestrial beauties by his side, both showing interest in him, alongside the other women on his deserted island who are vying for the attention of the Uzumaki.
