Chapter 5: Before The Beginning

Miami, Florida

Klaus Mikaelson would like to claim that he enjoyed a fulfilling life after he killed his mother Esther, the conniving woman, but that would be untrue. Since that fateful day, he has been relentlessly pursued by his father Mikael, a man of immense strength and madness.

The creature would incinerate towns in his search for his offspring, having lost touch with his brothers and sisters long ago while fleeing from Mikael. Ever since they became vampires, they had been tormented by him.

"We never chose this path; it was him and our slut of a mother who turned us into vampires, and then they chose to ruin us because of their own failures," Klaus reflected bitterly. His thoughts shifted to his other pursuers, the Bennett witches, who had blamed him for the death of their mother. "I can't be sure whether I actually killed her or not. Throughout my long life, I've fed on and taken the lives of countless individuals, so perhaps their animosity towards me is justified."

The four Bennett witches were as relentless as they were formidable; they were responsible for much of the pain he endured throughout his life. They had placed a curse on one of his lovers, causing her to bleed whenever he approached, which ultimately led him to drain her completely in his insatiable thirst for blood.

Strangely, Klaus hadn't laid eyes on Mikael in years and he wished that someone had either helped him escape or at least laid him to rest somewhere.

Unaware to the hybrid, he was being observed by four witch-vampire hybrids and one original vampire, all of whom were filled with animosity as they gazed upon Klaus.

The eldest of the watchers was a Caucasian man who appeared to be in his forties, but was actually much older. He is Michael, the father or stepfather of Klaus.

One of the other observers is an attractive woman with dark skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is Rose Bennett, the eldest daughter of Naruto Uzumaki and Emily Bennett.

Next is a young woman with fair skin, or at least she appears youthful. She has brown hair and eyes resembling her mother's. Her name is Lily Bennett.

The following woman possessed the same fair complexion as her father, Naruto, while inheriting her mother Emily's brown hair and eyes. Her name is Amber Bennett.

Finally, the youngest sibling, Daisy Bennett, resembled her mother the most with her dark complexion, hair, and eyes. As the baby of the family, she had no personal memories of her mother aside from what her sisters and father shared with her. Nonetheless, she was determined to seek revenge for her mother's demise at the hands of Klaus.

"It would be a simple matter to end that creature's suffering," Rose, the eldest of Emily Bennett's children, said with a look of disdain directed at Klaus. "However, I want him to plead for us to take his life before we finally do it."

"Perhaps we could compel him to change into his wolf form and keep him as our pet, complete with a leash," suggested Lily, with Naruto and Emily's eldest daughter agreeing enthusiastically. "I believe he would be a great guard dog."

Daisy suggested, "I think we should continue our current approach and find a way to make him fall for someone---perhaps a vampire or a werewolf this time. Then we can kill them in front of him or have him do it himself." She enjoyed seeing the despair and heartbreak on Klaus's face whenever he lost a lover. "We could even cast a spell to have him relive their deaths repeatedly."

"That's actually a clever suggestion, little sister," Amber replied, her expression filled with contempt as she looked at Klaus. "I agree we should follow your plan, but let's take him and his partner captive first, then torture Klaus until he loses his mind and ends up killing his lover himself."

"There's no reason to argue over how we can make Klaus suffer, as we can implement all of your suggestions. After all, he's practically immortal, so he won't go down easily," Mikael remarked with a slight grin, as he and the women he has come to view as granddaughters schemed against their mutual enemy.

Mikael words made all of the women faces brighten to his amusement, over the years they had torment Klaus making his life a living hell, thr original vampire wanted to just kill his step son at first but after he join the half Bennett witch half vampires he could honestly said he was surprised Klaus has not tried to off himself already.

Through out the years the five had tormented Klaus in all kinds of ways such as the four Bennett witches driving him insane with illusions leading to him devouring his lover at them.

There was a moment when Mikael pursued the hybrid with the help of the Bennett witches, who would disrupt Klaus's senses. As a result, instead of escaping from his father, Klaus would end up running directly into their trap, leading to a severe beating that nearly left him dead, if not for his immortality.

Klaus had endured being burned, frozen, electrocuted, buried alive, tossed into the ocean, and countless other torturous experiences. Mikael could genuinely say that his desire for revenge had been satisfied, but he found it so enjoyable to torment Klaus that he willingly went along with whatever the four Bennett witches desired. They are the children he always wished he had but never did.

"We're all on the same page," Rose remarked, pulling Mikael back from his thoughts. He observed as the three other sisters nodded in concurrence before they directed their attention to him. "Do you also support the plan?"

"Apologies, I was daydreaming and missed what your plan was," Mikael said, sounding a bit embarrassed about his lack of attention.

Rose let out a sigh and revisited the plan, causing Mikael's eyes to widen in surprise. He then erupted into laughter, not the usual sarcastic or dry kind he often displayed, but a heartfelt one, as he glanced at the pink dog collar that Amber was holding.

Fast Forward

California

The Uzumaki was seated at his desk in the Wolf Ram and Hart law office, managing some paperwork when his phone buzzed, signaling that he had received a message.

Naruto looked at his phone and smiled as he viewed the photos his daughters had sent him. They were taking pictures with a wolf that had a pink collar.

"Hahaha!" Naruto erupted in laughter, realizing that Klaus was stuck in wolf form, completely dominated by his daughters. "This is hilarious! The dreaded hybrid has become a pet!"

One of the photos featured all four of his daughters alongside Mikael, posing together with Klaus's leash held by his stepfather. It resembled a family portrait that included their beloved pet.

"I have to tell Idunn and Siv about this later," Naruto said with a smile, but his mood shifted as he considered Rebekah. "I think it would be best not to let her know."

Naruto gently approached the room he shared with Rebekah, quietly opening the door. He found her engrossed in her phone, completely unaware of his presence as she was lost in what she was doing.

Rebekah had naturally been monitoring her family closely. Finn and Kol had fallen out of favor with Klaus a while back, resulting in him staking them and burying them in a hidden location. Although they wouldn't die, this punishment was considered a fate worse than death.

Elijah has been following his personal passions and has even founded a group named the Strixs, made up of vampires he has turned. This organization is engaged in political matters and upper-class circles.

Rebekah was aware of Emily's daughters' grudge against Klaus, as well as Mikael's involvement. Though she had vowed to remain uninvolved, she struggled with that commitment and ultimately decided to reach out to Elijah for assistance with Klaus.

"What are you up to?" Naruto inquired, aware that Rebekah wouldn't resist the urge to connect with her family, so he kept an eye on her. "I hope you're not attempting to assist that dog."

"What's it to you if I do?" Rebekah replied boldly. "He's still my brother, even if he's not the greatest person."

"You need to release your desire to get involved with Klaus; it's only going to lead to complications for us in the future," Naruto said, staring intently into Rebekah's eyes as he noticed her defiant expression. "But I know that no matter what I say, it won't make a difference. So, I've decided that we should take some time apart for you to reflect on what really matters to you."

"What!" Rebekah shouted in disbelief at Naruto's question, "Are you divorcing me?" The female Mikaelson glared at him, her eyes filled with anger.

"It's not a permanent situation; it's just a brief separation to help us understand what we truly want from this marriage," Naruto replied calmly. "You have a hard time distancing yourself from your family, especially Klaus, even though you're aware that it endangers us with Mikael. Plus, Klaus is a target for my daughters."

Rebekah sighed at the reality of Emily's children pursuing her brother for allegedly murdering their mother. She was uncertain whether her brother was guilty, but if he was, those girls would relentlessly chase him until he was dead. Additionally, she worried about her father potentially coming after her and Naruto again if she got entangled with her brother's issues. Yet, despite the risks, she couldn't ignore them—they were still her family.

"I can tell you've made your decision," Naruto remarked, noticing the expression on Rebekah's face that he recognized well---the one that appears when she thinks about her brothers, filled with sorrow, nostalgia, and resolve. "You're free to do what you want, but just know that I won't back you up once you go."

"I am sorry, but I have to do this," Rebekah responded in a soft tone. "I can't abandon my brothers; we will deal with Mikael, and I will find a way to make Emily's daughters let go of their grudge. It's not good for them, and Emily would not want them to live this way."

"Perhaps you're correct in thinking about Emily's wishes, but that doesn't alter the reality that you're prioritizing your brothers over us once more," Naruto expressed in exasperation. This was a recurring problem he had with Rebekah, even before her transformation into a vampire; she consistently placed her brother's needs above his and their children's. "Do whatever you want; I'm done caring."

Rebekah felt wounded by her husband's comments; she wished he could see that her love for him was immense, but her love for her brothers was equally strong. She couldn't just stand by and watch them suffer. Although the female vampire realized she should remain and communicate with her husband, her family required her attention more urgently.

The two exchanged a silent gaze; one was devoid of emotion, while the other was filled with pain and resolve. Without saying anything, Rebekah turned away to gather her belongings, leaving Naruto to watch her retreating figure. He let out a frustrated sigh, realizing that things were bound to become more complicated for him, particularly when his daughters with Emily eventually uncover the truth.

A/N: I mainly wrote this chapter in response to numerous requests for an update on the story. This chapter takes place prior to the timeline of the show, with Klaus making his way to New Orleans, Louisiana, marking the beginning of the series timeline. The conflict with Rebekah serves as a means to remove her from the picture, allowing Naruto to interact with other female characters from the Original Universe.
