A/N: This story is rated M for mature content not suitable for children.

Story:

Naruto is reincarnated in the Dragon Ball Super universe as a human, once again finding himself an orphan after his parents tragically passed away in an accident. Retaining his memories from his previous life, he quickly realizes that he no longer possesses chakra, but instead has access to a different, powerful energy within him. Determined to harness this new power, he begins training as best as he can. It isn't until he watches the Cell Games on television, witnessing Goku and Gohan in battle, that he gains insight into the potential of his abilities. Inspired by their moves, he practices techniques like flying and energy blasts with some success. However, he feels it's not enough, so he embarks on a quest to find the legendary fighters who saved the world, hoping to either challenge them or persuade them to train him. Regardless of their choice, he is resolute in his ambition to surpass them all.

Chapter 1: New Power

Dragon Ball Universe

Death wasn't the conclusion; rather, it marked a new beginning, or at least that's how Naruto perceives it now. One moment he was on his deathbed, awaiting the shinigami to guide him to the afterlife, and the next, he found himself in the body of a newborn, unable to speak or move. All he could do was cry and fill his diapers with his waste..

In the initial months, Naruto believed he was ensnared in a Genjutsu. He attempted to access his chakra, only to be met with disbelief and fear when he realized he couldn't sense it. Instead, he felt an unfamiliar energy that resembled raw Yang chakra but had a distinct quality.

"How is this possible?" a young Naruto pondered as he struggled to harness this unfamiliar energy. He had already come to the conclusion that he wasn't dreaming, which meant everything around him was genuine, and he was indeed just a baby.

Naruto reached a single conclusion: he had been reincarnated, retaining all of his memories for some unknown reason. However, one question lingered in his mind: what comes next?

"I've achieved everything I ever desired in life and now all I want is to find peace with my family in the afterlife," Naruto reflected on his journey, from his challenging upbringing to the bonds he formed with his teammates, right up to his passing, surrounded by loved ones. "It's funny how people are still astonished by the number of secret lovers I've had."

Naruto chuckled mischievously at an unusual noise made by a baby, reminiscing about his past relationships with beloved figures like Hinata, his wife, along with Tenten, Shion, Koyuki, and Anko.

"Unfortunately, they're not around right now, and I'm left feeling like a helpless infant," Naruto thought to himself. "If I can tap into this newfound energy, perhaps I can uncover more about my situation or at least keep myself amused."

Naruto approached his rebirth as if he were an observer witnessing someone else's life. He found himself an orphan once more, having learned from the staff at the orphanage that he had been left on their doorstep. However, he didn't mind; if his new parents didn't want him, it was perfectly alright with him.

Naruto concentrated on testing out his newfound abilities. Although it was a gradual journey, his understanding from his past life allowed him to utilize the yang-like energy to increase his physical strength and improve his vitality.

Growing up as an orphan this time had its advantages and challenges. On one hand, the staff at the orphanage treated him well, making life somewhat easier. On the other hand, he faced the struggle of pretending to be an ordinary baby, and the idea of experiencing puberty once more filled him with dread.

Over the years, he struggled to establish genuine relationships with others, primarily because he felt unable to reveal his true identity to anyone who would think he was an elderly man reborn as an infant.

They would likely assume he had psychological issues and either refer him for treatment or send him off for observation and research.

As a ten-year-old who can smash big rocks and punch through metal like it's nothing, Naruto was getting ready to use one of his coolest moves, the Rasengan. But since he was using this strange new energy, it ended up working in a totally different way.

"Rasengan!" Naruto shouted as he stood in a forest close to the orphanage nestled in a mountainous area, where wild animals roamed freely but generally ignored humans.

Naruto observed as the Rasengan took shape in his palms, resembling the usual form. However, it then shot out from his hands like a spiraling beam, slicing through trees and everything in its path effortlessly, much like a knife gliding through butter.

"That was amazing!" Naruto exclaimed with enthusiasm, realizing that in this life, the only thing he truly enjoyed was training. "But why does it keep happening?"

Naruto rubbed his head in thought, trying to figure out how this strange new energy functioned. He realized he was unable to produce clones or utilize many of his previous techniques, prompting him to adapt his approach to combat.

"Ugh, I really hope something changes soon," Naruto muttered under his breath. His life was tranquil, but it felt incredibly dull. He longed for some thrill in his existence; he used to be a ninja god, and now he was just a human kid with a hidden ability.

Naruto experienced a sensation unlike anything he had felt in his lifetime; it was as if Kaguya had returned to the world. He could feel an enormous energy, not just from one source, but from multiple sources, all concentrated in a single location.

This wasn't the first occasion he felt individuals on this planet possessing immense abilities, but the intensity had reached a new height; the ground trembled beneath him as if it too feared this force.

"What on earth is happening?" Naruto shouted as he leaped through the trees to return to the orphanage. Upon arriving, he saw all the children gathered around the lone small TV they had. "What are you all watching?"

On the television, Naruto spotted a blonde-haired man confronting a green mutant or alien, both of whom appeared formidable. The cameraman then shifted the focus to the surrounding crowd, where Naruto noticed a boy with blonde hair around his age, a short bald man, a wild-haired man with a facial scar, a three-eyed bald man accompanied by either a small child in makeup or a dwarf, a short black-haired man with a younger male who had bluish-purple hair, and lastly, a green figure who could also be an alien or a mutant.

Naruto's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as he observed the clash between the two combatants. As their punches connected, he could sense the ground shaking beneath him from the sheer power of their strikes, even though he was some distance away.

The Uzumaki shut his eyes briefly, attempting to concentrate on sensing the distant warriors. He noticed their energy was similar to his own, indicating that this must be the essence of power in this world.

Naruto's eyes flew open as he attempted to process everything he had just seen on the television. He was particularly stunned when the blonde man swapped places with the blonde boy, a move he found utterly crazy. Did the man actually want his son, or who he believed to be his son, to face death?

The battle began, and Naruto was initially taken aback as the blonde boy seemed to be losing. However, after an ally was defeated, his strength surged to new levels, allowing him to take on the green mutant and gain the upper hand. Just as things were looking up, the TV signal suddenly cut out, leaving Naruto in shock and frustration.

"What! No," Naruto shouted in frustration at the now blank screen, causing the orphans and staff to jump in surprise. They believed his reaction stemmed from disappointment that what appeared to be an action movie had abruptly ended. They all thought that what they had witnessed couldn't possibly be real, as humans couldn't fly or shoot energy beams.

BOOM

Naruto stepped outside after hearing a tremendous explosion that felt as if the world was coming to an end. He witnessed a spectacular flash of energy, only for it to disappear just as quickly as it had appeared.

"Is this the same power that resides within me?" Naruto pondered with enthusiasm, convinced that the combatant was harnessing the same energy as he was. They could soar through the air, unleash beams, and possessed incredible strength. "Could I become that powerful as well?"

Naruto sensed that some of the energy he had felt earlier had faded away. Perhaps some of the warriors had perished, or maybe they were concealing their strength. He glanced at his hands, and with a resolute expression, he made his way back to the forest to train. The staff at the orphanage was too preoccupied with the day's events to notice his absence.

Fast Forward

Naruto emitted a grunt as he hurtled through the air at incredible speeds, expertly dodging the energy blasts shot at him by a wild-haired, scarred man he remembered from the Cell Games he had watched on TV years ago. This man, known as Yamcha, was accompanied by a flying cat named Puar, and they crossed paths in the desert during Naruto's quest to grow stronger.

The entire situation unfolded when he realized the potential of his newfound abilities. He began to train rigorously, but soon encountered a plateau. While he managed to learn how to levitate and intentionally shoot energy blasts, his progress came to a near standstill, and his development slowed significantly.

On his twelfth birthday, he made the decision to seek out someone who could teach him how to harness his abilities. If he couldn't find a mentor, he planned to challenge others who he sensed have this power to a fight, hoping to understand how they controlled this peculiar energy and use his own instincts to improve himself.

Flashback Scene Ahead

"Where should I start?" Naruto thought to himself, feeling the presence of powerful individuals despite their attempts to hide it. "Perhaps I should seek out someone with a high power level and ask them to train me or at least spar with me."

Naruto departed from the orphanage where he had spent the majority of his early years, leaving only a note for the caretakers. He didn't want them to fret over his absence, even though he wasn't especially close to any of the staff; he recognized that they were good individuals.

The reborn Uzumaki moves swiftly on foot, as he hasn't yet perfected the art of flying. Currently, he can only manage to float, but his physical training mirrors that of his past life. This new energy, however, appears to enhance his physical strength more than ever before.

As the blonde leapt through the trees, he became lost in contemplation. The fighters from two years prior were astonishing, possessing strength akin to the Otsutsuki, perhaps even greater. He had worked hard to tap into a small portion of the skills he had witnessed them display, but he struggled to replicate most of those abilities.

Naruto journeyed until he reached a desert, driven by the energy he sensed. He discovered a man with untamed hair and a scar across his face, who was seated by a fire, lost in contemplation. He had opted to pursue this energy because it was the faintest he had encountered.

"Hey there," Naruto said as the man turned to him in astonishment. The blonde then noticed a floating cat beside the man. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm looking for you to be my martial arts teacher and assist me in mastering this power we both possess."

Naruto created a sphere of ki and let it vanish into thin air. Yamcha watched him with apathy, having no interest in becoming a mentor. He was particularly hesitant given that all of his significant past confrontations had concluded in his own loss and demise.

"Get lost, kid. I'm not interested in teaching anyone," Yamcha said, turning away from Naruto. However, that proved to be a mistake, as the Uzumaki took advantage of his moment of inattention and landed a punch squarely on his face, sending him to the ground while clutching his face in agony." What was that for, you insane brat?" he exclaimed.

"Why did you go after Yamcha?" Puar yelled in distress, as the unusual creature attempted to assist the wild-haired man in getting back on his feet.

"If you refuse to teach me, I'll force you to spar with me, whether you want to or not," Naruto declared, a fierce grin spreading across his twelve-year-old face. "This way, I can learn from fighting."

Yamcha glared at the blonde kid who had just assaulted him, feeling a surge of anger. He resolved to teach the brat some respect, unaware that during their clash, the kid would manage to capture his attention. Eventually, he would begrudgingly agree to let Uzumaki join him on his journey, leading to the development of a mentor-student bond.

Flashback Scene End

BOOM

"This is just ridiculous," Naruto complained, wincing in agony as he lay on his back, wounded and bruised from the ki blasts that, while not lethal, still stung upon impact. "You could have shown some restraint, you jerk," he shot at the smirking Yamcha.

"Don't act like that; this is for your training. If I restrain myself too much, you won't get better," Yamcha said with a laugh, while Puar, who was hovering beside the wild-haired man, shot a teasing glance at the fallen blonde.

"Well, it's not Yamcha's fault you couldn't dodge his ki blasts in time," Puar chuckled, finding humor in the blonde boy's predicament.

"Whatever," Naruto remarked, channeling his ki to accelerate his healing process. He had discovered that this ability was rare among ki users, with only a handful possessing the power to heal themselves.

Now thirteen, Naruto had encountered his teacher a year prior, and during that time spent training in the desert, he had to acknowledge that he had significantly grown stronger.

Yamcha clarified to him that his newfound energy is referred to as Ki, a type of dormant energy or life force present in all living creatures. This energy can serve multiple functions, such as offensive moves, enabling flight, and promoting healing. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in enhancing strength, speed, and stamina.

Yamcha had shared details about the other Z-Fighters who are his companions, and one in particular piqued his interest: Goku, an extraterrestrial from a warrior lineage capable of transforming to gain greater strength. He and his fellow beings were among the most powerful on Earth, possessing enough might to obliterate not just the planet, but potentially the entire universe.

Naruto contemplated how a human could possibly stand against such powerful monsters that increase their strength through battle. After some reflection, he concluded, "The only way for me to achieve such levels of power is through mastering my ki control and utilizing sage mode."

Naruto recalled that in his past life, he possessed an almost limitless amount of chakra, but his control over it was only mediocre. In contrast, Sasuke had exceptional control, though he didn't have nearly as much chakra as Naruto. Despite this disparity in chakra levels, Sasuke was able to match Naruto's strength and, if Naruto were to be truthful, was even somewhat stronger than him.

The same holds true for Sakura, who excelled in chakra control despite having less chakra than him. She was among the top fighters in her generation. Similarly, Hinata and Ino were in a comparable situation as the pink-haired kunoichi.

Sage mode is a power that Naruto had perfected in his past life, and he was thrilled to discover that he could utilize it again in this life. It was more manageable for him since he could absorb natural energy while on the move without any danger.

In sage mode, Naruto was capable of enhancing his strength in a way that resembled the super Saiyan transformation that Yamcha mentioned some of his extraterrestrial companions can utilize.

"The only distinction is that the Saiyan transformation stems from their biology, whereas mine is a skill and comes from outside," Naruto reflected as he stood up completely healed, glancing at Yamcha. "I'm set to go again."

Yamcha simply shook his head and then nodded as Naruto pointed out how reminiscent he was of Goku, a true battle enthusiast who thrived on training and fighting. Throughout their training together, Yamcha had observed that his blonde student was growing stronger after each session, much like Goku, leading him to question whether Naruto was truly human.

Yamcha assumed a fighting stance, and it wasn't long before Naruto charged at him, his body glowing with ki. The two fighters collided in a flurry of strikes, one fiercely intent on victory and growth, while the other questioned his decision to train the troublesome blonde, aside from the resemblance he had to his friend.

A/N: I hope you all enjoy the story! I chose to have Yamcha as Naruto's first teacher because many people underestimate him, believing he's weak. However, he is actually one of the strongest pure humans; he just happens to be measured against god-like figures, both in a literal and figurative sense.
