Chapter 3: Mayley Downfall Pt.1

Naruto was observing the woman as she conversed with her brother, Willy Tybur. The man, characterized by his blond hair and goatee, gave off an air of arrogance that led Uzumaki to believe he wouldn't be fond of him.

The Uzumaki managed to collect a significant amount of intelligence through his shadow clones, who eavesdropped on conversations among civilians and soldiers when they believed no one was paying attention. Additionally, some clones infiltrated more confidential meetings, including the one the original was currently observing.

Willy told his sister while they were in the dining room of their mansion, "We've lost communication with the shifters we dispatched to Paradis." He had instructed the servants to leave after they finished arranging the table with food.

Naruto realized that Willy was the hidden leader of Marley, and it was both disheartening and astonishing to discover that the true adversary of the Eldians was not a Marleyan, but rather one of their own.

"Do you believe that those demons have been wiped out or have they turned against us?" Lara inquired, her expression devoid of emotion. However, Naruto noticed the hatred in her eyes as she venomously pronounced the word 'demon' in reference to the Eldians.

"It's difficult to determine without dispatching someone to Paradis island for an investigation. Perhaps I should send the Beast Titan," Willy said, contemplating whether sending Zeke Yeager would be a wise decision. "If they have turned against us, Zeke could bring them back, but if they were defeated and killed, we risk losing the Beast Titan to those demons as well."

Lara agreed with her brother, realizing they were facing a significant risk no matter what choice they made. They could inadvertently lead the Beast Titan into a trap where he could be captured or killed. If the other shifter traitors revealed their origins, Paradis would become aware of their military strength and be ready for Zeke. Conversely, if they managed to eliminate the titan shifters sent to capture the Founding Titan, it would mean that the Eldians of Paradis possessed a formidable secret weapon.

Willy said with a serious expression, "I've also heard that the parents of the shifters have disappeared. They could have been murdered by some overly aggressive Marleyans, or perhaps someone managed to infiltrate Marley and abducted them."

"Do you believe it's the Eldians from Paradis or a different nation, brother?" Lara inquired, her tone steady and thoughtful as always. "Either situation would leave us in a difficult predicament."

"I get it!" Willy snapped, seething with frustration. "That’s exactly why we need to reclaim the titan shifters' power ASAP! We don’t have a choice but to throw Zeke into the chaos without any intel and just pray that the titan shifters we dispatched to Paradis are just cut off for some stupid reason!"

Lara suggested, "We should have Pieck Finger keep an eye on Zeke from a distance, just in case things go south, so she can update us on what happens." Willy agreed with the plan, unaware that Naruto was eavesdropping on their conversation.

Naruto observed the way the brother and sister engaged with each other, and it appeared to him that their relationship resembled that of business associates rather than siblings. When the Uzumaki first arrived, he had intended to abduct Willy and use him to negotiate with Lara, but he had a hunch that this tactic might backfire; the woman might be more inclined to abandon her brother to his fate rather than come to his rescue.

"What should I do in this scenario?" Naruto pondered. He knew he could easily wipe out Marley, but that would put innocent lives in danger. Alternatively, he could take out the leaders, but he feared that equally terrible individuals might rise to power in their place. "I don't want to bring destruction to Marley because of the innocent people living there, but I need to safeguard Paradis."

Suddenly, an idea came to the blonde ninja's mind, and he couldn't help but smile mischievously as he observed the siblings brainstorming ways to address the issue of the missing titan shifters and how to reclaim the founding titan.

Paradis Island

Zeke and Pieck possessed the abilities of the Beast Titan and the Cart Titan, respectively. One was a natural powerhouse, while the other boasted impressive speed but lacked significant combat strength aside from the sheer size of her titan form.

They reached the island by boat, accompanied by a group of Eldians who were meant to be transformed into titans. The titan shifters observed without any visible emotions as the Eldians were injected with a serum and transformed. Initially, the titans attempted to assault Zeke and the boat, but with a roar from Zeke, they hesitated and retreated into the dense forests of Paradis.

The Marleyans on the boat couldn't help but frown at Zeke, a member of the Eldian royal family, as they witnessed his control over the titans. His lineage, tied to the demon responsible for the war against their people long ago, only deepened their disdain.

The Marleyans departed silently, choosing not to glance back. Zeke and Pieck, accustomed to the animosity from the Marleyans, paid them no mind and continued on their way to the Eldian settlement on Paradis.

Pieck turned to Zeke, who appeared deep in thought, and inquired, "What’s our plan once we arrive at the Eldian walls? I can't imagine they will simply allow us entry."

"I'm not sure about that either, but we could use some titans to cause a distraction while we slip in and figure out what happened to Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt," Zeke responded, his thoughts not focused on the missing shifters but rather on finding a way to connect with his younger brother Eren.

Pieck inquired, "What about the Founding Titan? We need to get it back if we have the opportunity." Although she may not have realized that Zeke was thinking about Eren, the individual who possessed the Founding Titan's power, the mission also focused on reclaiming that power. This was crucial for combining it with Zeke's royal blood to eliminate the threat posed by Paradis once and for all.

As they strolled through the woods, Zeke observed something unusual: there were no titans present, and the absence of animal sounds made the area feel eerily silent.

"Pieck, prepare for combat; we might be encircled," Zeke commanded, positioning his hand near his mouth, ready to transform into his Beast Titan form at the slightest indication of threat. "Show yourselves; we know you're out there observing us."

Initially, there was no action until a lone blond man appeared and leaped directly in front of them. The duo was taken aback, not because they hadn't witnessed such a stunt before, but because the blond man was without any specialized equipment. This meant he had jumped from a tree over 100 feet tall using only his natural human abilities.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Zeke asked, his voice tense. There was something about the blonde man standing before him that triggered his instincts to flee. "Why have you been trailing us?"

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki," the blonde man said as he introduced himself. "I’m aware that you are Zeke and Pieck, the titan shifters dispatched by Marley to investigate the fate of your spies and potentially capture Eren if the opportunity arises."

The two titan shifters reacted sharply to Naruto's words, quickly biting into their hands and shifting into their titan forms. One transformed into a massive ape-like creature, while the other took the shape of a smaller titan that moved on all fours.

"I suppose telling you I'm here to talk is pointless now," Naruto said as he observed Zeke leap toward him, aiming to flatten the blonde. "Looks like I’ll have to demonstrate what true power really is."

Naruto instantly shifted into his nine-tailed form, looming above the two giants who stared in awe at the radiant fox creature before them.

"Let's get the ass-kicking on the road," Naruto said, making Zeke and Pieck shiver. They came to a realization about what happened to their shifter comrades; they ran into this monster and didn't stand a chance.

Zeke lay vanquished on the frigid ground of what used to be a forest floor, now transformed into a massive crater. He lacked the strength to transform into a titan again; that beast had obliterated them effortlessly, and now it was extracting its revenge on Pieck.

Pieck and Zeke observed how the residents of Paradis revered Naruto, treating him as if he were a deity incarnate. The Uzumaki supported them as they made their way into the residence of the king of the wall.

Upon entering, the two shifters spotted their absent teammates, Reiner, Bortolt, and Annie. However, their attention was primarily drawn to Annie, who had a prominent baby bump.

After overcoming his initial shock, Zeke gazed at Annie with revulsion, unable to comprehend how she could not realize that her very existence was a transgression. He believed that the more she brought new life into the world, the greater the suffering and pain she was causing.

Annie chuckled, "Looks like you’ve found yourself in the same situation," as she and her teammates were also under a seal that prevented their transformation. "Seems like it wasn’t easy for you, Pieck."

Levi, on the other hand, stayed composed, focusing on Zeke and Pieck, anticipating any foolish action from them that would give him the opportunity to strike.

"So, here they are, the Beast Titan and Cart Titan shifters," Erwin said, glancing at the two foes of his country. "They don't look that tough."

"The Cart Titan isn't anything special, but if you had to fight the Beast Titan, most of you would die." Naruto stated honestly, as his clones dropped Zeke on the floor roughly, while the one with Pieck eased her on her feet before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.

"How did this all happen?" Zeke asked as he looked at Annie, Reiner, and Bortolt. He was sure that they would be hidden and infiltrate Paradis, but now it seemed they were at the blond devil's mercy just like him. "Where did it all go wrong?"

"What exactly are you inquiring about? Is it how I discovered your little spies, how I can contain your titan powers, or perhaps something else? Like maybe..." Naruto paused with a mischievous smile on his face, "How am I going to take down the Marleyan Empire?"

"It is impossible! You have caught us off guard; you will never be able to destroy Marley," Zeke declared passionately, his eyes filled with madness, Levi got annoyed by the beast titan shifter's words and punched him in the stomach making the man double over and almost throw up some blood.

"Shut up idiot you are too loud," Levi spoke sternly to the man, aware that he would pose a significant threat if he managed to break free from Naruto's seal and tap into his titan abilities.

Naruto was amused by what he saw happen, so he decided to take pity on Zeke and explain, "I will answer everything in order. I found out about your spies when those two idiots tried to kill off a comrade of theirs. I had my suspicions about them, but they proved it, and I acted." Naruto looked at Reiner and Bortolt, as he spoke.

"Annie was easier to figure out as the female titan; her titan form resembles her human form," Naruto explained while looking into Zeke's eyes, "I was able to convince her to switch sides by saving her father from Marley. The same goes for Reiner; I saved his family, and he gladly took my hand and my offer to come to our side."

"Bortolt is such a coward! I just threatened him and he happily joined us," Naruto said, glancing at the three titan shifters he caught first. "I, of course, sealed their titan powers just in case they tried to double cross us. They can only transform with my permission; the same goes for you."

Zeke said with a glare at the three titan shifters, "So, you are all traitors that does not surprise me but no matter, you will not win against Marley you demons even without the titans our army is the strongest in the world."

Naruto laughed at Zeke's words, unnerving him. "While you may have a valid point, could it not be possible that now, with Marley losing control of all but one titan, the enemies Marley has created globally might view this as an opportunity to launch an attack?" Naruto remarked with a smirk, "What if the Eldians in Marley were to initiate a civil war? That would certainly be intriguing."

Zeke looked at Naruto in shock; the blonde bastard just told him his plan, and it made Zeke shivered as he knew that chances were high that everything the blonde devil said would come true. Without the Titans, Marley was vulnerable to attack from their foreign enemies, and he could see the filthy Eldians using that as an opportunity to attack.

"Looks like you get it," Naruto said, noticing what was on Zeke's mind, "but what do we do with you now?"
