Chapter 3: Moving Forward

Naruto and Julia were back-to-back, fighting vampires who had surrounded them. The vampires attacked, but they died just as fast from either the female Belmont's whip and magic or the male Uzumaki's jutsu or kunai.

The vampires had killed some of the humans, but thanks to Naruto's shadow clones, some survived and were carried out of the mansion to safety while the majority of the vampires attacked the original.

The Uzumaki noted that some of the vampires had made a quick escape; more likely, they knew of his or Julia's reputation as vampire hunters.

While he was not as famous a vampire hunter as the Belmont clan, Naruto had become a powerful vampire hunter with strange and powerful abilities that could rival, if not surpass, those of the greatest magicians or even ancient vampires.

Some even speculate that the Uzumaki was not human, but they know he was not a vampire either, so most of the smarter vampires steer clear of Naruto if possible.

When Naruto learned this from a vampire he had slain, who begged for his life and called him an inhuman monster, it amused the Uzumaki.

Naruto knew that he was not like the humans of this world due to being naturally more powerful physically, not to mention his chakra network. Then there is the fact that he is a Jinchuriki, sage, and transmigration of the Sage of Six Paths' son and heir, Asura.

"When I give the signal, I want you to drop to the floor," Naruto said to Julia, who had just slain a vampire that charged at her with her whip.

"Whatever you are planning better be able to clear out all of these bloodsuckers," Julia replied. She had worked with Naruto long enough that she didn't have to ask what the signal would be. "My arm is getting tired of swinging around this whip, and my magic is almost all used up."

Julia had eliminated over 50 vampires, but the problem was that more kept coming. Naruto had said there were about one hundred bloodsuckers here, but it turned out to be way more, and some were older and more experienced, making them harder to slay.

Naruto explained to Julia one time that he sometimes had problems sensing vampires that don't give off killing intent or the smell of blood. This is because chakra is more adapted to sensing living things, while vampires are not.

"Now!" Naruto shouted, prompting Julia to fall to the ground as gusts of wind erupted from the Uzumaki, slicing through everything in their way in all directions except the spot where the female Belmont was located.

Julia watched as most of the vampires were reduced to sliced meat. Only the older, stronger vampires remained; they were the ones who turned all the others here. Most were probably innocent people with ordinary lives before it was taken from them cruelly.

The vampires in question were two males and one female. From what Naruto could gather, these vampires must have some kind of power that protected them or allowed them to avoid his wind blades.

One of the male vampires looked more inhuman than the others; his features were more bat-like, with long ears and crimson eyes, along with long dark hair.

The other male looked like a handsome man with brown hair; he looked like the type that would be able to lure women in with his looks alone and drain them of their blood. It was usually his type that was the most monstrous.

The sole female among the vampires looked similarly to the handsome vampire with brunette hair and pretty features, making Naruto think that the two were related. The female vampire was looking at him like he was a piece of meat, with a hungry smile on her lips that looked like it had crimson lipstick on it, but he was sure it was stained with the blood of the innocent.

In his time hunting vampires with the Belmont, Naruto had seen the power the bloodsuckers possess. Some can manipulate blood, others can shapeshift, and then there are those with magic. But one thing was for certain: those vampires were the hardest to eliminate.

Naruto said, keeping his eyes on the three vampires, "Looks like the real fight is about to kick off. Hope you're ready, Julia!"

"Who do you think you're talking to? I'm a Belmont, we were born to take out monsters," Julia said, creating a fireball in one hand and holding her whip in the other. "Just do your best to keep up!"

"Look at the humans, Maria; they think they can defeat us. Isn't that precious?" the handsome male vampire said to the female blood sucker.

"I know, right? It makes me want to eat them up, brother," the female vampire replied with a smirk, still looking at Naruto. "I want the man for myself; you can have the woman."

"Will you two be serious for once?" the inhuman vampire declared, annoyed by the siblings' chatter. "You better not underestimate them; the woman of a Belmont and the man seem to have some strange power."

"Calm down, Cain. What could they possibly do to us? If we were alone, it would be a different story, but with three of us here, they don't stand a chance," the attractive male vampire said, waving dismissively.

"That attitude could lead to your downfall, Adam," remarked the bat-like vampire, choosing not to expend any further energy on the two siblings.

"Relax, Cain. My brother has a point—do you really believe the three of us could be beaten by just two humans?" Maria said, preparing to strike at the blonde man, her thirst for battle becoming evident. "I'll take the lead."

During the vampires' conversation, Naruto and Julia were coming up with a plan of attack. The Uzumaki had long since learned that when your enemies like to talk, it is best to let them while you prepare your own plan.

Naruto had been gathering natural energy to enter sage mode; it was the strongest power he had at the moment. Kurama had fallen into a deep sleep since they entered this world. The Uzumaki was not sure why, but he guessed it could be because the nine tails was literally a part of the Elemental Nation, so being in this world and away from them might be having an effect on him.

It was the best idea he could think of, but the only good thing is Naruto was sure that Kurama was not dying because his power was still there. However, he could not access it no matter how hard he tried.

So Naruto had to use sage mode. However, it was not just his regular toad sage mode; it was his Sage of Six Paths sage mode, a stronger transformation that had none of the drawbacks of regular sage mode.

Naruto entered sage mode, and unlike before with Toad Sage Mode, his appearance didn't change; in fact, he didn't even gain toad-like eyes, more than likely because his connection to the toad contract was broken after he entered this dimension.

Naruto remains the same but he could feel the power of nature straightening him; he could sense that the vampires were about to attack, making him take the initiative and attack first.

"Hey Julia, I'm gonna take two vampires out of here, you handle the last one!" Naruto said as he created one clone. A disadvantage of this power-up is that he couldn't make a lot of clones because when they dispel, it would disrupt his ability to maintain sage mode.

Before the Belmont could reply, Naruto took off with speeds that surprised even the vampire, to the point they could not react as they were forcefully flung miles away from the original position into an abandoned district.

"It appears that your friend possesses some intriguing abilities," the bat-like vampire remarked, gazing in the direction where Naruto led his companions. "He’s either super confident he can take them down or just plain foolish."

"Naruto is quite foolish," Julia responded promptly, displaying an expression of annoyance, "however, he possesses great strength and will undoubtedly emerge victorious."

The two, now facing each other, realized the time for talk was over. They attacked each other; the Belmont with fire and ice, and the vampire transformed into an even more monstrous form. He was more bat than man now.

Naruto vs Adam and Maria

The two siblings had long since shed their human appearance and now looked like wraiths with crimson eyes, sharp fangs, and claws, all their attacks radiating bloodlust.

"I hope Julia is doing better than I am," Naruto said to himself as he dodged a blitz attack from both sides by the siblings.

Julia vs Cain

Julia was not having a good time. She was using her magic to keep the giant bat vampire at bay, but he had a powerful regeneration along with a sound attack that disoriented her, so it was a tough battle.

"Let go of me, you wench," Cain cursed as he thrashed around on the ground, his arms that had his wings bound as he struggled with Julia holding on tightly.

The female Belmont had been preparing her magic for one massive attack. She held on tight to her whip while she fired her flames at Cain, who screamed in pain as he burned.

Blue flames formed a dome around the vampire as Julia attacked over and over, trying to overload the vampire's regeneration.

"Curse you, Belmont, and all of your kind," Cain roared in pain as he burned. He tried to break free of the whip, but it held strong even though it burned with him. "I will not die like this."

Cain let out a scream, with his power over sound repelling the flames from his badly burnt body. His body was not regenerating, but the fury within him gave him enough strength to break the whip and throw Julia on her back.

In the distance, Julia held a massive explosive. Then a blast of wind passed through the area; she knew that it was Naruto who was in the center of it. She hoped he was okay as she got on her feet to face an enraged vampire.

"I am going to make you suffer before I kill you," Cain hissed, his eyes insane with rage and pain. "Then I am going to show your body to your boyfriend before I eat his heart."

"Bring it on," Julia replied, not falling for the vampire's taunts. She was tired, but he was badly hurt, so they were on even footing. The two opponents stared the other down, then attacked.

Naruto vs Adam and Maria

Naruto watched in interest as the two siblings turned into blood and merged together; a ball of blood and energy formed around them, then it was absorbed within the new being.

The Bled saw the attack coming, so they turned themselves into blood, but Naruto was not aiming for them. The shadow clones grabbed the original and threw him back over to where Julia was.

"That is the two vampires I was fighting. Apparently, they have the ability to merge," Naruto answered, getting ready to fight again. "They have the annoying ability to turn into blood."

Julia groaned as she heard that, vampires who have a high degree of blood manipulation were usually very hard to kill. She, of course, could beat them with her magic, but she was too tired now.

The Bled looked like it was about to attack, but then it got strangely calm and looked to where Naruto attacked to slay Cain.

"I will pull back for now, but we will see each other again," the Bled said, then turned into a mist of blood and floated away.

Naruto watched as it was out of sight and his senses; he then turned to Julia and began to do some first aid along with healing her as much as he could without the yang seal.

Fast Forward

Boston [Morning]

Naruto walked with Julia in the streets of Boston. People were going about their daily lives all around them, ignorant to the fact that vampires and all kinds of monsters are real and views them as livestock at best or something to be exterminated at worst.
