Chapter 3: Hellfire Club

New York City

Whirlpool Inc.

Naruto was behind his desk doing some paperwork while also thinking about an email he received not long ago from none other than Emma, his twin sister. She had apparently joined the Hellfire Club, something he already knew, but the part that surprised him was that she extended an invitation to him to join and become the new White King.

"Hmm, Emma really got herself involved with some dangerous people," Naruto said out loud. He had known about the Hellfire Club due to his father Winston wanting to join them. "It wouldn't surprise me if the old bastard sold Emma to the Hellfire Club in exchange for joining them."

At this point, Naruto didn't care much about his twin's fate. It might sound heartless, but with everything that had happened between them, their once tight bond was broken. However, it wasn't like Emma needed him to protect her anymore. From the information he gathered about her, she had become a powerful telepath.

"Now, what should I do about the Hellfire Club?" Naruto thought to himself. He could try to alert the hero community about the club's existence, but that would not do much good since the Hellfire Club has so many hidden allies in high places. "I will just see what they want from me, and if I don't like it, I will just eliminate them."

"Hey boss, what got you so deep in thought?" A sexy red head walked into his office wearing a tight black skirt that came up to her mid-thighs and a blouse that exposed a healthy part of her breasts.

"It's nothing you have to worry about, MJ," Naruto replied to his secretary, who didn't look convinced. "It's not hero stuff, but something else."

"If you say so, Tiger," MJ said, not believing Naruto but letting the topic drop. She had discovered that Naruto was Ragnarok before he started Whirlpool Inc. She was the one who saw him leave his apartment to go save his sister, Emma.

"So, how are things between you and Spidey?" Naruto asked, changing the subject. "You two still doing the on-again, off-again thing?"

Naruto knew of MJ's relationship with Spider-Man, aka Peter Parker. It was not hard to find out his secret identity. The web-slinger was not as careful as he thought he was when changing into and out of his hero and civilian personas.

Then there is the fact that Naruto had been told this by MJ when he was screwing her over his desk. The red head was loyal most of the time, but when she got a good hard dick down, she spilled all of Peter's secrets.

"Peter's got a new girlfriend, but I don't want to talk about it," MJ responded with a scowl. Naruto found it amusing that she would be angry Peter got a girlfriend while she was cheating on him regularly. "Are we still on for tonight?"

"Yeah, I'm free. Make sure to wear something red and sexy," Naruto ordered with a perverted grin. MJ looks best in red. "Dinner, then back at my place."

"Sounds like fun, Tiger," MJ said with a smile. She gave Naruto a kiss on the cheek and swayed her hips as she left the office. "I have this sexy dress I've wanted to wear for a while now. It will look really good without underwear."

Naruto watched MJ leave the office, tempted to call her back inside and screw her over his desk, but he relented. His mind went to Emma, and he wondered if she was doing okay.

New York City

Hellfire Club

To say life had not been good to Emma was an understatement. Ever since she left home, it had been going downhill. First, her boyfriend, Troy, got killed by a loan shark after they made a fake kidnapping video of herself so her father would pay. But she should have been surprised that he did not.

It took the news of her kidnapping going public for Winston to finally pay the ransom, but it was already too late. Troy got killed, and she would have been killed too if it wasn't for Ragnarok.

The hero knocked out and tied up the bandits, leaving as fast as he had come without saying a word to her. Emma suspected who the hero was behind the mask, as his presence was familiar, but she couldn't be sure.

Not that it matters after all these years, she was not sure Naruto would forgive her for how she acted all those years ago after he killed her teacher-lover.

Now that she had matured, Emma could understand why Naruto did what he did. Her teacher was a grown man, and he had no right to get into a relationship with a minor. But back then, her love-struck mind couldn't see it, and it was too late.

"I really was a stupid kid back then," Emma said out loud. She was in a private room in the Hellfire Club, which is a strip joint on the outside but is in reality the meeting place of the rich and powerful.

Emma then went to Empire State University using the ransom money her father paid. There, she made another mistake and started a relationship with another teacher who was ironically enough named Kendall.

There, she also met a fellow telepath, Astrid Bloom, who helped her train and control her abilities. Things were going well until her roommate, Christine McDermott, found out about her relationship with the teacher.

Flashback Scene Ahead

"I know what you and Kendall have been doing," Christine said to Emma. She was rooming with her in the same dorm.

"What I don't know is what you are talking about," Emma replied, playing dumb. She didn't want to get the teacher in trouble. After all, she loved him. He reminded her of her first love, whom her twin brother had killed.

"Is that so? Then you won't mind if I release the phone recording I made of you two kissing in the classroom after school," Christine said as she held up her phone, showing a video of Emma and Kendall making out. "I wonder what will happen if I do."

"Why are you doing this?" Emma asked, knowing that she was caught. "I never did anything to you."

"Did you know that before you came around, Kendall and I were in a relationship? But when he met you, he broke it off with me," Christine answered, glaring at Emma. "So, you did do something to me—you stole my man."

Emma was not shocked at this, as she had known about Kendall having another lover before she showed up. She didn't know that it was another student, her roommate of all people.

"So you are just jealous that he chose me over you," Emma said in realization. She was tempted to use her mutant powers to scramble her roommate's brain, but she didn't want to cross that line. "You know if you tell on us, the school will investigate your relationship with him too, and Kendall will get fired and blacklisted. He will hate you for that."

Emma was hoping that Christine still had feelings for Kendall, so she wouldn't want him to hate her, even though she is hurt and angry about what she considers a betrayal.

"Fuck you, bitch. Just stay away from Kendall, or else," Christine growled, then stormed out of the room. Emma wouldn't see her for a few days; apparently, she had asked for a new room.

Emma ignored Christine's threat and continued to see Kendall while also training with her friend Astrid. Things were going well, aside from the death stares Christine would send her way, but she ignored them. Her mutant friend didn't take kindly to a human threatening their kind and formed a plan to get rid of the obstacles in her way of what she was truly after.

Fast Forward

Empire State University

Some time after class, Christine had cornered Kendall and was arguing with him. Emma had stumbled across this confrontation but decided to stay hidden and watch.

"I know that you broke up with me to be with Emma," Christine accused, her eyes blazing with anger. "What does she have that I don't? Is she thinner than me, or does she suck you off better? What is it about her that you like so much?"

"Calm down. There is no need to be this upset. What we had was only temporary, anyway. It is best that we broke up for both our sakes," Kendall replied, his face blank, but that seemed to only enrage the heartbroken young woman more.

"You selfish bastard! You played with my heart, took my virginity, and now you want to leave me," Christine exclaimed with a crazy look in her eye. "I am going to tell everyone what you are doing, you son of a bitch."

SLAP

Kendall slapped Christine across the face with enough force that she was thrown off her feet, leaving a red handprint on her bruised face. Emma was shocked by the development; Kendall wasn't the violent type, so this was out of character.

"You bitch, do you think I will let you ruin my career because you are hurt that I broke up with you," Kendall said with a look of hate and disgust on her face. "You want to know why I broke up with you? It is because you are a stupid whore who spread your legs for some fake kind words, and you are a lame fuck."

Emma watched as Kendall, the man she loved, turned into a monster. He pushed Christine down on the ground and started to strangle her, intent on killing the young woman.

The telepathic mutant could no longer stand back and watch. She came out of hiding and leaped on Kendall, trying to pull him off Christine. She did not like the other woman, but she did not want her dead either.

"Stop this, Kendall! This isn't you. Calm down!" Emma cried desperately, trying to get her boyfriend to stop before he killed Christine.

Kendall didn't budge, no matter what she did. He didn't even acknowledge her, which was strange. Emma used her power to see what was wrong with him and found that there was another presence in his mind.

"What are you doing, Astrid?" Emma said telepathically. She could tell Astrid was in the next classroom. "Stop this now."

"Why would I stop? Emma Christine has been a bitch to all of us. She deserves this," Astrid responded. "Not to mention, Kendall is a piece of shit. This is getting rid of two birds with one stone."

Emma realized that Astrid was not going to listen to her, and if she wanted to prevent Kendall from killing Christine, she would have to break Astrid's hold on the male teacher's mind.

Astrid felt what Emma was doing and smirked to herself. So her student wanted to fight her? Then so be it.

"You should give up and let me do what I have to, Emma," Christine said as her eyes started to glow purple in the next room. "You don't have to interfere."

"Yes, I do. You are better than this. Please stop," Emma cried as she struggled to break the other telepath's hold on Kendall's mind.

Astral Plane

Emma forced more of her power out, and she was teleported to the astral plane. She saw Astrid as a construct of purple energy, and she was a blue one. They both still had their human shape but were made entirely of energy.

The difference between the two was the color of their energy and their size. Astrid was bigger than Emma, with her energy being purple and the blonde woman's energy being blue.

Emma and Astrid clashed with punches and energy blasts. The two fought in the astral plane, but in the real world, their bodies received the injuries.

"Just give up already. You are only going to get hurt," Astrid stated, pinning Emma down with her power, but she could see that her friend was not going to stay down willingly. So, she held her there while using her power to finish off Christine, whose face turned blue from lack of oxygen.

While pinned mid-race, Emma was trying to come up with an idea to stop Astrid, but she was coming up blank. She was just too powerful for her to defeat. Then, an idea came to Emma: if she lacked power on her own, why not take it from her friend?

"Get off me," Emma exclaimed, letting out a blast of telepathic energy that made Astrid lose her hold on the inexperienced telepath.

Astrid was even more surprised when Emma just stared at her directly. She grappled with the blonde woman until she started to feel something strange; her power was weakening.

"What are you doing?" Astrid demanded with a look of fear in her eyes. She could feel herself losing power by the second, while Emma was getting stronger.

"I am stopping you," Emma stated as she held on tightly to Astrid, who struggled and cursed trying to get away but with no success.

Minutes passed and the two women faded from the astral plane, with Emma returning to her body and Astrid to hers.

Classroom

"What is happening, oh God, I am so sorry, Christine," Kendall said with a sorry look on his face. "I don't know what came over me."

Kendall tried to help Christine up, but she looked at him with fear and rage. She slapped his hands away and backed up, looking at the door as if about to run out and scream for help.

"Stay away from me, you psycho. I am going to get you arrested for this," Christine shouted, glaring at Kendall, not willing to believe anything he says.

"Christine, please hear me out. I don't know what happened to me. I just blanked out," Kendall tried to explain, but Christine made a break for the door. Before she could open it, she froze.

Kendall thought that she had changed her mind and was willing to give him a chance to try and figure this mess out, but he said she was not moving. Then Emma spoke.

"Christine is too afraid and angry to listen to anything you say. I will have to erase her memories of the last hour," Emma said, making Kendall turn to her with a blank face.

Kendall realized Emma was a mutant freak. She or one of her kind was behind all this. He couldn't believe that she had fooled him into thinking she was normal all this time.

Unbeknownst to him, Emma was reading his mind, and it saddened her to see the level of hatred Kendall had for mutants. She decided then and there to erase both Christine's and Kendall's memories of everything that happened there today.

Emma watched as Kendall and Christine left the room, ignoring her due to her powers. She then walked to the other room, where she found Astrid unconscious. Emma had taken Astrid's power and knowledge, revealing that the real reason Astrid had done what she did was because she was in love with Emma.

Flashback Scene End

New York City

Hellfire Club

Emma left the university after placing Astrid in a private hospital using the remainder of the ransom money she had; her friend was comatose with no sign of waking.

Things got so bad that Emma started to strip at the Hellfire Club. At the time, she didn't know that it was a front for something more. It would be later when she met Sebastian Shaw that she was offered the position of White Queen.

Now before her was a picture of her brother, Naruto. Shaw had given her a mission to get him to join the Hellfire Club, no matter what.

Naruto had done well for himself after leaving the Frost residence. He was now a billionaire with many political and military connections. These were some of the reasons the Hellfire Club wanted him to join, as he is a mutant.

"Sigh, I guess it's time we have a reunion," Emma said, her voice steady but on the inside she was anxious. How will Naruto react to seeing her again?
