Chapter 4: Motherhood

Temple of Artemis

In a special room created for Artemis and Zoe to safely deliver their children, Naruto stood between two beds, with his wife on one and his mistress on the other, both holding his hands tightly.

Both Zoe and Artemis were wailing in pain and cursing Naruto, making all kinds of threats against him to the point that Apollo, who was helping deliver the babies, went pale from fright.

"I am going to castrate you with a spoon if I survive this, you man whore," Artemis roared in pain as a contraction hit her. She squeezed down hard on Naruto's hand, wanting to break it, but thankfully, it didn't. "Feel my pain, you bastard."

"I will help you, my lady. I will hold him so you can cut off his manhood; it is a threat to womenkind," Zoe growled weakly, making Naruto more concerned about her well-being than her threat.

"Zoe will be fine. All that is happening is her baby is sucking up a lot of her divine power, more than it would if she was a god instead of a titan," Apollo explained when he saw Naruto's worried expression.

Naruto nodded. He was tempted to try to send some of his own divine power into Zoe, but he didn't know how it would affect her and their baby.

Apollo split his being into two to attend to both women. It was like a shadow clone, but different in the sense that both copies were the real Apollo and not just an energy construct.

"I see the head coming out on three. I want you to push," the Apollo attending Artemis ordered. "On three: one, two, three, push."

Artemis did as told. With her face red from exhaustion, the goddess pushed with all her might, making sure to crush Naruto's hand with all her strength, wanting him to feel her pain, even if just a little bit.

The Apollo with Zoe was also making her push out her baby. He was considering doing a C-section if the titaness did not have the strength to push, but thankfully she did after she got some encouragement from Naruto.

"Come on, Zoe, you can do this. You are stronger than this, and I know you won't let something like childbirth defeat you," Naruto whispered in the titaness's ear with his hand gripping hers.

After hearing Naruto's words, filled with a loom of determination, Zoe thought that if a mortal woman could do this, so could she. She weakly squeezed Naruto's hand and pushed hard, feeling pain unlike any other, but kept on pushing.

What seemed like hours to the pregnant women, but in fact was minutes, they managed to give birth with the room filled with the cries of newborns.

Zoe had a look of relief on her face, while Artemis had one of confusion and pain, because it felt like something else wanted to come out of her.

"Well, that's a surprise. It looks like you have another baby in there, sis," Apollo stated, making Artemis' eyes widen. "Get ready to push again."

"I am going to skin you alive for this, Naruto," Artemis screamed in pain as she once again pushed out another child, her eyes filled with tears of pain and rage. "You are never touching me again."

"Yes, dear, you can punish me as you want after this. Just push out our baby now," Naruto replied, not at all bothered by the threats, which seemed to enrage the goddess more. Her grip on his hand got stronger, making the blonde worry for a second that she might actually break it.

Fast Forward

Naruto looked at his newborns, twin girls from Artemis and a boy from Zoe. Their new mothers were tired and covered in sweat, but they both looked happy nursing their newborn babies.

"I am a father now," Naruto said to himself, both with joy and disbelief. "Will I be a good father to them?"

"You will be a great father as you are a great husband," Artemis responded after hearing what her husband said. "Right, Zoe?"

"My mistress is right. You will be a good father, much better than my own, in any event," Zoe stated, but her focus was on the baby drinking her breast milk.

"Thanks to both of you," the Uzumaki replied, playing with one of his daughter's face, his finger lightly going along her cheek. "Our children are so beautiful."

Apollo, who delivered the babies, was surprisingly silent throughout the three interactions, choosing to let the new parents talk among themselves.

"You babies are so cute. Arty, mom is going to love her granddaughters when she meets them," Apollo said cheerfully as he checked both new mothers and babies out one last time.

"Yes, I know she will fall in love with them," Artemis replied as she gazed at her two newborns as they fed on her breast milk. They were identical, both with her silver hair and pale skin. They haven't opened their eyes yet, but she had a feeling they had their father's blue eyes. "They are so perfect."

Zoe was also in her own world, admiring her son with a look of joy at every sound and motion the baby made. The pregnancy and childbirth had been hard on her, but it was worth it, the titaness thought as she held her son.

Zoe's son had her skin tone and blonde hair, and he too has not opened his eyes yet, so she was unsure of the color, which could be either brown or blue. However, she would love it if he inherited his father's blue eyes.

"So, what are you going to name them?" Apollo asked the new parents, who looked at each other. They had thought about various names during the pregnancy but could not decide.

"We are going to hold off on naming our children for now," Artemis replied. She had several names in her mind, but she didn't want to rush and give her girls one that she might regret later.

"I agree with my lady," Zoe said after Artemis. She had a name in mind before, but now that she was holding her child, it did not seem to do him justice.

Naruto nodded at their decision. He himself was not sure of any names to give his children just yet, but they could do so at a later date.

"That's a little disappointing. I wanted to be the first to learn my little nieces' names, but whatever," Apollo said playfully. However, Artemis' glare at him for his attitude made the sun god sweat. "Well, I'll leave you to get accustomed to your new role as parents. Call me if anything happens."

"Idiot," Artemis said as she watched her brother teleport away. He was flamboyant as ever. Her thoughts halted as Naruto pressed his lips to hers in a passionate kiss that lasted a few minutes, then did the same to Zoe.

"Thank you both for the hard work and safely delivering our children," Naruto said with a look of joy, his head touching Zoe's.

"You don't have to thank us. They are our babies, too," Zoe replied sleepily. She yawned and handed her son to Naruto, who was a bit surprised. She noticed the look. "He is your son, too, and I trust you will take care of him while I get some rest."

"Right, get some sleep. You deserve it after all you've been through," Naruto said as he leaned in and kissed Zoe, who returned it. As soon as they separated, she quickly fell asleep.

Naruto, with his son in his arms, turned to Artemis, who looked at him nervously. To his confusion, what could she be nervous for?

"Umm, about the thing I said while I was giving birth, you know I didn't mean them," Artemis said quickly. She did not want her husband to think that she would attack him or even deny him sex.

"I know my love," Naruto responded with a smile. "But you know I will have to punish you for all the abuse you put me through when you fully recover."

"I understand, husband," Artemis said with a blush on her face, her body vibrating with excitement at the thought of punishment showing her submissive and masochistic side.

"Good, now let me see my daughters," Naruto said, handing Artemis his son and taking one of his girls. He looked at her pretty face and said, "She looks just like you, beautiful beyond belief."

"Of course, they are our children after all," Artemis beamed with pride as she was given back the daughter Naruto had taken, and he took the other. "This one is just as beautiful, but I can tell she is going to be a firecracker."

Naruto said all this because the baby girl was twisting and turning in his hands; she was a bundle of energy.

The new parent relaxed into a peaceful silence. Zoe was lightly snoring, fast asleep from childbirth. Artemis realized something she had never informed her mother of: her marriage, much less that she had become a mother.

"Shit," Artemis suddenly exclaimed with a pale face, making Naruto confused and the three babies cry. "Shh, shh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be loud. Go back to sleep."

Artemis rocked her twins while Naruto calmed his son. He looked at the goddess with concern, but she was too preoccupied with thoughts of how her mother would react when she heard that her daughter was not only married but had two daughters of her own.

Fast Forward

Delos

Artemis stood nervously outside the small house where her mother resided. Naruto was right next to her, holding his baby girls, who were making cute baby sounds and faces, which made him gush at how adorable they were.

"Come on, Artemis, you are an Olympian. You don't have to be afraid of your mother," the goddess of the moon said to herself to get the courage to knock on the front door.

Before Artemis's hand reached the door, it flew open, revealing a beautiful, white-haired woman wearing a toga. She looked similar to the goddess of the moon.

"Daughter, you have finally come to visit. What has it been, 200 years?" Leto said in a happy voice, but there was an undertone of hurt.

Artemis knew she fucked up. Usually, she would visit her mother every 50 years or so, but she was busy for the last few hundred years. With her recent marriage and childbirth, her mother slipped her mind, which made her feel like a horrible daughter.

"Oh, and who is that behind you?" Leto asked, making Artemis nervous. She was about to introduce Naruto as a friend with his daughters, and later ease her mother into the idea of her being married and having children.

"Hello, Mother, my name is Naruto," the god said with a bow. His daughters were happily moving around in his hand. Leto was confused as to why this man would call her mother, but when she looked at the babies in his arm, which looked so much like her daughter, it all came together.

"Who are you and those babies to my daughter?" Leto asked with an unreadable expression. Artemis was about to answer, but the titaness raised her hand to stop her, keeping her eyes on Naruto.

"Your daughter is my wife, and they are our children together," Naruto replied honestly. Artemis paled at her husband's declaration; he had signed her death warrant.

"Oh," was the only response Leto made. Her face blank, "Well, that is something in any event. Come inside so I can get to know my daughter's family."

Artemis knew that while her mother looked calm on the outside, she was probably hurt and furious on the inside, and she could explode at any moment.

"I will be happy to mother," Naruto said, making Leto smile, but Artemis didn't know if it was a good thing or not. "Come on, dear, we can't keep mother waiting." The reincarnated ninja said to his wife. At this point, Artemis knew he was calling Leto 'mother' to get under her skin.

Artemis glared at her stupid husband because he didn't know the situation he just put them in. She just hoped her mother was in a forgiving mood.

Fast Forward

Artemis stood corrected. Her mother was in a forgiving mood. She had talked with Naruto like he was family and actually called him son. It was so surreal for the goddess of the moon.

They were all sitting around in comfortable living room chairs, looking at each other. On one side was Artemis and Naruto, and on the other side was Leto, holding her twin grandchildren.

"So, how did you and my daughter meet?" Leto asked with a pleasant smile. She was holding the twins, who were playing with her long white hair.

"It's a long story, Mother, but we met when I was a demigod doing a quest with a couple of my friends. She helped us out back then to defeat a monster," Naruto replied, making faces for his baby girls, who giggled at his silliness.

"That's nice, but how did you two get involved?" Leto asked, looking at the blonde. Her tone changed slightly, something Naruto didn't notice, but Artemis did. She tried to speak, but her mother gave her a look that clearly said to be quiet or else. "It must be something to win my daughter over."

"Not really, Mother. We were made to marry to prevent our fathers from going to war," Naruto responded, making Leto's face turn blank. Artemis started to panic, "but it worked out for the best because we came to love each other."

"So Zeus is the same as always," Leto whispered, understanding her breath, "Are you two really in love, daughter?"

"Yes, we are mother, and I love the life we built together," Artemis stated without hesitation. "I am sorry I didn't remember to tell you about any of this before today."

"Hmm," Leto hummed, taking in her daughter's words. She looked at Artemis, Naruto, and the twins. "So, what are your children's names?"

"We haven't decided yet," Naruto is the one to answer. "We don't want to give them just any names, so we are going to wait until the right ones come to us."

Artemis nodded in agreement; she had some names in mind, but they just didn't seem to do her cute babies justice. So, until they found the perfect ones, they would wait.

"Your parents love you very much, little ones," Leto said to the babies in her hands after a while, with a gentle smile on her face that soon turned serious as she gazed at her daughter and her husband. "But that doesn't excuse the fact that you kept your marriage from me, let alone that you have children."

"I'm sorry, Mom. I don't know what to say," Artemis replied, ashamed that she had forgotten to tell her mother about her marriage and everything that had happened to her.

"Sorry isn't enough for one. If you want my forgiveness, I have to test your mate. If he passes, I will forgive you and acknowledge your marriage," Leto said, her face cold. Artemis knew she would not change her mind, no matter what.

"That's fine. I don't mind being tested," Naruto responded to Artemis, who was annoyed that she didn't feel how tense the atmosphere had gotten. "But when I pass, you have to forgive Artemis completely and accept me as your son-in-law, not just the lip service you've been giving so far."

"So you noticed," Leto stated. She had indeed not taken the blonde seriously and called him "son" but never meant the word. She said it to tease her daughter. "You are more perceptive than you let on. You might be a good match for my daughter, but you have to prove yourself to me."

"Mom, Naruto doesn't have to prove anything to you. I love him, and he is my husband, and that's it," Artemis said. She wouldn't let her mother treat the love of her life like she wanted to. "You either acknowledge our marriage, or I won't be returning here ever."

"If that is how you feel, then you may leave," Leto replied, handing Artemis her children and turning her back to them without a word. "But if you do, I will no longer see you as a daughter."

Naruto saw the situation about to escalate and decided to step in before Artemis and Leto said or did something that would damage their relationship beyond repair.

"That is enough from both of you. We are a family, so we have to try to get along with each other," Naruto interjected, looking between Leto and Artemis's angry face. "Go home with the twins for now. I will talk with your mother and sort this out."

"Fine, I will do it, but if whatever she wants to put you through is too hard or puts your life in danger, don't do it and come home," Artemis said, giving Naruto a kiss on the lips, then glared at her mother angrily. She took a calming breath, then teleported with the twins.

"What test do I have to pass to get your acknowledgment?" Naruto asked as Leto turned around slowly, undoing her toga and letting it fall to the floor, revealing her sexy naked body.

Naruto's eyes roamed over all of Leto's curves, her large breasts, wide hips, long legs, and plump ass. Between her thighs was her underused pussy, which looked like it hadn't been touched by a man in hundreds of years.

Artemis's face gained a look of shock that quickly transformed into rage, but surprisingly, it was not aimed at her husband but at her sleeping mother.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, mother?" Artemis yelled, waking Leto, who casually yawned and stretched out, not at all alarmed.

"Oh, daughter, you came back," Leto replied, looking at her daughter's enraged face. "You will be happy to know your husband passed my test, and so I officially acknowledge your marriage."

"Fuck that! Why the hell did you do it?" Artemis growled, her rage increasing at her mother's casual state, as if she hadn't just slept with her husband.

"I think it's quite obvious what we did. You have children of your own, so I don't think I have to explain it," Leto responded. That was the last straw, making Artemis jump at her, throw her off the bed. The two wrestled on the floor, all the while Naruto made himself scarce and went home.
