Chapter 4: Pecking Order

Sunnydale High-school

Buffy watched the new transfer student, Faith, and the homeroom teacher, Naruto, like a hawk. Both of them ignored her as if she were not a threat, acting as though everything was normal.

The slayer's friends were looking at her in worry, which further annoyed her. It wasn't because they were worried, but because of what had happened to her in the nurse's office.

Flashback Scene Ahead

Nurse's Office

Buffy attacked the vampire instinctively, aiming a punch at her face. To her and her friend's surprise, her fist was caught with ease, and the slayer couldn't pull it away, no matter how hard she tried.

"Calm down, Slayer. I am not here to fight you," Isabel stated, still sitting down with Buffy desperately trying to get her hand out of her grip.

"Let go of me," Buffy shouted. To her surprise, Isabel released her. The Slayer jumped back to her friend, who looked frightened and worried for her. "What the hell are you? There is no way you are a vampire."

"That's none of your business, Ms. Summers," Isabel replied. She changed back to her human form. "Now, why are you here? You're clearly not sick, so go back to class, or I'll tell the principal that you're skipping."

"What are you doing here?" Buffy demanded, but only got a mocking smirk in response. She was about to attack, but she remembered that her friends were here, and if she did, they would be in danger. Not to mention, they were at school.

Buffy slowly backed out of the nurse's office, gesturing for her friend to exit with her. In front of them, she kept her eyes on the sped-up vampire until she closed the door, but not before Isabel got in the last words.

"I hope you are going back to class, Ms. Summers. It would be a shame if you get expelled or your mother gets called in because of your bad behavior," Isabel said with a fake concerned face.

Buffy glared at the vampire and slammed the door. She raced off to the school library to talk to Giles, with Willow and Xander right behind her.

School Library

Buffy and the gang made it to the library, where they explained what was happening to Giles. He got an alarmed look on his face.

"Oh dear," Giles muttered in a british accent. "So you are saying that the other vampire slayer, a man of unknown origin, and a vampire who can walk in daylight are now part of the student body and faculty. This is worrying."

"What am I supposed to do? I can't fight them here," Buffy asked. She was at a loss; she couldn't attack Naruto and company at school. There were too many witnesses.

"I think you should go back to class as if nothing happened and stay out of their way for the time being," Giles answered after thinking for a bit. Buffy looked confused by his advice. "It is true that it would be unwise for you to attack them in broad daylight, but it's also true that I don't think they will attack you now."

Thinking back, Buffy realizes that Giles was right when she attacked Isabel earlier. The vampire didn't retaliate, but can she be sure that the blonde man, dark slayer, and vampire are not up to no good? No, she cannot, but what can she do?

"I think Giles is right, Buffy. If you attack them now, innocent people might get involved, so I think we should wait until after school and confront them," Willow suggested helpfully.

Buffy liked Willow's plan. It made the most sense, and it gave them time to prepare if things went south. But then Xander opened his mouth.

"I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but didn't the other Slayer beat you within an inch of your life the last time you fought her? And that vampire chick seemed really strong from the way she held your hand, and you were not able to budge a bit," Xander said, getting a glare and scowl from Buffy. "Hey, I'm a realist, I just want everyone to be safe and you know, not die confronting people stronger than you."

Xander tried to make the last part he spoke sound like a joke, but they all knew he was serious. Buffy had been defeated before, but not like this, to the point that she was still recovering after a week.

"I was tired and unprepared the last time with Xander. This time, I am ready," Buffy said confidently. But Xander was not buying it. He had seen how she struggled in the vampire's grasp earlier, and that vampire looked like she was playing with Buffy. "Just wait and see."

Flashback Scene End

Sunnydale's High-school

Buffy watched as the students, especially Cordelia, gushed over Naruto. They acted like sluts, to be honest. She had seen some of her female classmates flash Naruto their panties and rub their slutty tits against him when he asked them to come to the front to solve some math problems.

The slayer always knew some of her female classmates were easy. But seeing how they act around the new teacher just because he was handsome proved her point. Buffy was sure that if Naruto showed a little interest in any female here, they would spread their legs without any questions asked.

RING

"That is all for today. Class is dismissed," Naruto said and watched in amusement as some of the female students came up to him and gave him hugs, pressing their bodies against him, while most of the male students, except Buffy, her friend, and Faith, rushed out. "Can I help you, Ms. Summers, or didn't you hear the bell ring?"

Naruto asked after he saw the last female student exit the room. He would have some fun with a few of them very soon, but he had a pissed-off slayer to deal with.

"What are you two doing here?" Buffy demanded, to Naruto and Faith's amusement. The dark Slayer had moved over to the teacher's desk next to Naruto, while Buffy and her friend remained standing by their desks.

"Aww, that's so cute. The little slayer thinks she is the one in charge," Isabel said from the door, walking in and making Buffy and company start to worry.

"Well, Ms. Summers, I am here to teach young minds. Faith is here to study, and Isabel is a very skilled nurse," Naruto answered as he packed his bag and got ready to go. "Well, I will see you tomorrow."

"Wait, what are you, and how is that vampire able to stand in daylight?" Buffy asked. But Naruto didn't even turn around and just walked out, with Faith and Isabel right behind him. "Damn it."

"Maybe we shouldn't antagonize them, Buffy," Willow said, trying to get her friend not to do something stupid. She knew that if a fight broke out now, the odds were not in their favor.

Xander expressed his agreement with Willow and added that Giles had a plan. They simply needed to wait and support him. Knowing the Watcher was dependable, he decided to grab some popcorn and see what he would pull off.

Buffy desired to express a differing opinion from her two friends, yet she acknowledged their correctness. Imagine a brawl breaking out—she wondered if she could juggle defending her friends and herself.

"Fine, I won't do anything until Giles shows up, but let's follow them," Buffy suggested. She gave up on fighting Naruto and company for now, but she would not just let them go around unmonitored.

"That's not a bad idea, as long as we stay far enough not to be discovered," Willow said. She was okay with just following and watching them.

Sunnydale High School [Hallway]

"Can I have a moment of your time, Mr. Uzumaki, Ms. Lehane, and Ms. Grant?" Giles said with his thick British accent.

Naruto and company turned to see Giles behind them. They were close to the school exit. Strangely enough, there was no one around. The incubus guessed that the Watcher must have used a spell to clear the area.

"I don't see why not. It's good to bond with coworkers after all," Naruto said with a smile, catching Giles off guard. He expected a fight and prepared several spells and traps for the occasion. "I don't think the hallway is the best place to talk, though."

"Umm, well, we can go to the library," Giles said, and Naruto gestured for him to lead the way.

Buffy and her friend saw all this and followed them to the library. She wanted answers too, after all, and she would help Giles if a fight broke out.

Library

"So, what's on your mind?" Naruto asked as he sat back in a chair with Faith and Isabel on either side of him.

"What are you exactly, and those two, especially the vampire? How can she walk in daylight?" Giles asked curiously, terrified by the possibility of vampires gaining the ability to be out in the daytime.

"Well, I am a human, and you should already know that Faith here is a vampire slayer created from some unfortunate event of the previous slayers dying. But Ms. Summers somehow came back to life, so she is a glitch in the system," Naruto explained, internally laughing at the bullshit he was speaking about being human. "And Isabel here, well, I think it's best her secret to walk in the daylight remains a secret."

"Bullshit, there is no way you are human," Buffy stated, making her presence known, although Naruto and company, as well as Giles, knew she and her human friends had been there all along. "I have seen you hold down a vampire like she was a child."

"That I did," Naruto replied with a smile, getting a glare from Buffy. "But you should know by now that even a human can be powerful if they have the right artifact or spell."

This was a Naruto cover story, which is not too far-fetched because, as it stands, he sealed off the majority of his power, making him feel like a human. He was, in fact, using two artifacts to empower himself.

One of them was the Crown of Thorns, which was in the form of a ring. It grants him godly power, even if his original ones were sealed away, mostly because he does not want his family to locate him too quickly.

"So you want me to believe that you were using something to make yourself powerful," Buffy said, clearly not believing the blonde. "Then what is it?"

"That is a secret, and besides, I think I answered the question I wanted to. So, if there's nothing else, we'll be on our way," Naruto stated as he and his two silent companions made to leave, but a magic barrier blocked their path, surrounding them.

"I am sorry, but I can't let you all go," Giles said as he held up a glowing ball in his hand. "Especially that vampire. She is dangerous and needs to be eliminated before she destroys the status quo."

"Is this how you want to handle this situation?" Naruto asked stoically. He could understand where Giles was coming from, and he even expected the Watcher to try something like this, but he hoped he was wrong. Now, he was going to have to respond with an equal show of strength. "Sigh, just remember, you brought this on yourself."

Giles watched in worry as Naruto pressed his hand with an odd ring on the barrier, and it shattered like glass. The ball in the watcher's hand turned into dust.

Buffy leaped to attack Naruto, but Faith intercepted her, and the two started exchanging blows. Isabel entered the fray, attacking the Watcher; she must not have liked his comment about eliminating her.

Naruto walked over to the two humans, or maybe not. Willow seemed to have some talent as a witch, even if she was just beginning to learn about it.

"So, what's the deal with you two?" Naruto asked casually as he watched Faith tear Buffy's top off, leaving her in only a bra to cover her chest.

"What do you mean?" Willow asked innocently. She could see the fear and worry in her eyes as her friend and Giles were being manhandled.

"I mean, why do you hang around the Slayer? You know it's extremely dangerous for regular humans to be around her. You will either die or live because of that decision one day." Naruto replied. He was tempted to stop Isabel as she started to punch Giles in the nuts, but he remembered what the man tried to pull earlier, so he didn't.

Buffy and Faith were pulling each other's hair. What started as an intense battle turned into a cat fight with clawing, biting, name-calling, and hair-pulling.

"Give it up, Buffy. You can't beat me," Faith mocked the other Slayer as she managed to get away from the fiery blonde woman. "How about you give up already and let us leave before I get serious."

"Buffy is our friend. We will never abandon her," Xander said with conviction, making Naruto stare at him, which made the teen nervous.

"You have a crush on the slayer," Naruto commented, making Xander stutter a denial, but he was ignored as Naruto was now focused on Willow. "What about you? Do you have a crush on the slayer too?"

"What! No, Buffy is just a friend, and I wouldn't just leave her and Xander to face monsters alone," Willow replied. Naruto gave her a blank look, and although she didn't know what that meant, she felt anxious.

"Now you seem to have a crush on Xander and are suffering from goody-two-shoes syndrome," Naruto stated. This made Willow stutter in denial, while Xander looked at her in shock, which made her blush. The atmosphere then became awkward.

"Why are you here? You could be doing all this for no reason," Xander asked Naruto as he watched Giles get beaten by the sexy blonde vampire chick. She was holding him in the air by his neck and bitch-slapping him across the face. "It's clear to me that you don't want to kill us. Otherwise, Giles would be dead already."

"You are surprisingly perceptive," Naruto commented, thinking Xander would be as dumb as a donkey. "But you are right, Isabel would be draining Giles' dye if I wanted him dead, and Faith would be standing over Buffy's lifeless corpse."

"You still haven't answered why you are here," Xander asked. He genuinely wanted to know, and a part of him also wanted to find out if the older man had any more artifacts that could give him a power-up. But he would wait until they were all on good terms in the future, hopefully.

"It's not that I didn't answer your question, but you can say I am here hiding from some people, and the hell mouth is the best place to do it," Naruto replied as he watched Faith punch Buffy in the face, knocking her out. "It looks like we're about done."

"Who are you hiding from?" Willow asked as she glanced worriedly at Buffy, who was being dragged up to them by Faith. Giles, barely conscious, had a bloody and swollen face. "And could you tell them to stop hurting my friends?"

"That is a secret that I will keep to myself," Naruto answered with a smirk. "But you don't have to worry about your friend. We were just showing them the pecking order."

"That was boring," Faith stated as she dropped Buffy in front of a worried Willow and Xander, who checked her over. They were smart enough to know that trying anything would result in them getting a taste of what Giles and Buffy had.

"Can we go now? I want some blood," Isabel said, her face still vampire-like as she threw Giles' body next to Buffy. The British man groaned in pain from the rough treatment.

"Yeah, we're done here, and you two," Naruto said, pointing to Willow and Xander. "Them," he gestured to Giles and Buffy, "when we sit down to talk, don't use threats, especially when you can't back them up."

Naruto walked out of the library with Faith and Isabel, leaving a beaten Buffy and Giles behind. He knew that this was not over; Giles would more than likely report this to the Watcher's Council, and they would send people. However, the blonde incubus was confident that he and his companions could deal with them.

The Incubus was also sure Buffy's pride was broken, and if she even got a hint as to why Faith was so much stronger than her, she would happily spread her legs for him, but that would be for a later date.

Naruto thought of all this and couldn't help but let an evil smirk come to his face as he imagined the blonde slayer withering in pleasure under him as he took her in different positions. One position had Buffy on her back as he thrust deep into her as she squealed and swarmed. Another had the slayer on her hands and knees as he took her from behind, with her ass red from slapping against his crotch.

A/N: Next time, Naruto might give extra credit to some of Sunnydale High School's female students and finally have a civil sit-down with Giles and the rest.
