Commission Updates (Prices & TOS)

Thank you so much to everyone who voted in the polls I put up on Tumblr and Patreon yesterday. You guys left so many sweet comments and I appreciate every single one of them.

Multiple of you said you'd still support me and wouldn't cancel Patreon memberships if I had to stop posting for a month and while that's very touching, it's not something I can afford to do as mentioned in the post that websites like Youtube just aren't very kind to you and if you take time away from posting or post less frequently it can really kill your channel and cut down your views and Youtube will start recommanding you less. There's already been major issues with Youtube's algorithm over the last year where people's channels are just getting recommended less and even appearing in people's subscription feeds less, Youtube screwing over ASMR channels, and I don't want to make my channel growth worse than it already is.

So from the votes in the poll and feedback in comments, commissions are going to change slightly. I know the winning vote was to give commissioners the option to have their audios be public or private with no fee for keeping it private... however, I'm going to go with the second highest vote for having a fee to keep a commission private BUT WAIT I think everyone assumed that option meant commission prices would go up and that's not what's happening.

Before SFW commissions were £30 and NSF'W were £60. And I think everyone assumed that me adding a £10 fee for keeping the commission private meant prices for that would be on top of the regular prices and that's not what I intend to do. I'm not going to charge more if you want to keep your commission private, I'm going to charge you less for helping me out by allowing your commission to be public.

Old commission prices:

• 5-10 minute SFW audio: £30 (private)

• 15-20 minute NSF'W audio: £60 (private)

New commission prices:

• 5-10 minute SFW audio: £20 (public)

• 5-10 minute SFW audio: £30 (private)

• 15-20 minute NSF'W audio: £50 (public)

• 15-20 minute NSF'W audio: £60 (private)

Hopefully this way some people who've wanted a commission but couldn't afford one before now have a more affordable option.

I know that having all commissions be public or giving people an option for public or private is how every other audio creator I've ever seen does commissions, I just got all in my head and felt guilty if I offered that.

And multiple people commented saying that with other audio creators they follow who post public commissions their communities actually enjoy it, that the commissioners look forwards to their commission going public and other people seeing it, and I've had people reach out who are excited for public commissions because they like seeing what ideas other people in the community come up with.

I want to give another massive thank you to my past commissioners. A bunch of them reached out to me and so far I currently have 12 commissioned audios that past commissioners have allowed me to make public. That's a whole month's worth of audios. Thank you guys so much. Getting that response and filling in my posting calendar with them last night was such a relief and weight off my chest that I'm actually already feeling more able to record new stuff without the stress of only having 4 audios (including tonight’s) in my queue and worrying I am so close to running out and that if I get sick again I will definitely run out of audios. And now that's now a fear any more I feel so much better. I hadn't realised what an awful weight that had been and I already feel better about recording again. And if you have an old commission from me that you're okay with being made public feel free to reach out in my DMs on Tumblr/Patreon/Ko-Fi/Discord but don't feel pressured.

I don't want people to think this means there's no point in leaving requests on Patreon. I will still be taking requests and still doing audios based on requests. Commissioning is just a way to guarantee your request gets made, and requests is a random roulette of who's gets made. Plenty of commissions started out as Patreon requests, and plenty of commissions line up with what other people have requested. I don't think any of you will be disappointed by the ideas my commissioners have.
