After a long time of debating whether I should do this or if anyone would be interested, I've set up channel memberships on my Youtube channel. If you have the means and want to support me further there is one single tier at Β£2.99 per month and the more members I get the more emotes I can add, but please don't feel like bad if you can't or don't want to join, I really am not excepting you guys too.
For ages I felt bad about the idea of starting them, but I'm trying to earn as much as I can to help with trying to move out and if no one joins that's okay, it hasn't cost me anything to set up, and if one person joins then hey a little extra money for my savings.
What you will get are loyalty badges and emotes to use in the comments of my videos. So far there's only 4 emotes because Youtube won't let me have any more until we get more members. So currently at 0 members we have 4 emotes, at 2 members we can have 5, at 10 members we can have 7, etc. These emotes are the same ones available on my Twitch channel. The four emotes we're starting off with are the Love Bites Hug and Orpheus Holds Gently emotes made by myself, Arden Headpats made by Green_Fogg and Satin Peace Sign made by Rocio401. Thank you so much to Green and Rocio for the cute emotes!
Channel memberships WILL NOT give you early access to videos or exclusive content, I need to make that clear. They also WILL NOT give you ad-free viewing, only Youtube Premium can do that. I don't offer early access anywhere and the only place you can get exclusive content is on my Patreon, this will not be changing.
I priced it based on thinking that on Twitch a Β£4.99 sub gets you emotes, badges and ad-free viewing, and on Youtube I can't offer you the ad-free viewing only the badges and emotes so that's why it's less money than a Twitch sub. At Β£2.99 it's the same as Ko-Fi's default donation amount, and I discussed pricing with my Discord members before deciding.
Please do not feel bad if you do not join the memberships, especially if you already support me finically through Patreon, Twitch or Ko-Fi. I really don't expect many if anyone to join. This is just an extra thing that's here if people really want it or can afford it. And as always just watching, liking and commenting on my videos is a way you guys can help support me for free as it helps boost my videos in the dreaded Youtube algorithm.
And thank you to everyone who came to the donothon! We had a wonderful turnout and raised more than I thought we would! I've still some rewards to get too, I've done half of the giveaway art so far, and I really am so grateful to you all.
