Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

A protector of who? Shane was only in it for himself.

Golladan

Shane and the Governor are completely different characters. Shane was not in any way a villain. I wouldn't even call him a sociopath. He was a hothead for sure, but deep down at his core, he was a protector. Which, paradoxically, did enable him to harm others, but not sadistically, and not without remorse. But he wasn't a villain, not to the show, and not even to Rick, which is why his death was so tragic.

Jonathan

Im so down to see them watch that. The Punisher is basically if Shane got let loose in the real world haha

AlrightThere

I really love that at this point the leaders of the good guys and the villain are both British actors playing Americans! The Governor remains horrific to me. Using the threat of sexually violence against a woman to demean and break her is abhorrent.

Victoria E (vickster5001)

Yeah, I think it's easy to say that as a viewer. In the heat of the moment, I'm sure I'd tell the truth 100 times over to prevent the person I love from being killed (and they most definitely would have killed Glenn).

ZK

41:49 "the fact she gave the information like that" Acting like you wouldn't of gave up the info the minute you got captured and tied up. Be fr

Sean

So Spartan...when do you plan to watch The Punisher tv series? If you want more Shane...there it is. And i'm here for it lol

Ryan

yep hilarious is a good way to describe them. it's a zoo out there xD

Name: Judith Symbolic Meanings and Traits Strength and Courage: The story of the biblical Judith associates the name with heroism, strength, and determination. Praise and Celebration: The root meaning of the name relates to "praised" or "celebrated".

Sharpgirl

Yo the yt comments on the recent Twd video are hilarious 😂

Shawneeboy

I want to highlight something about why he took in Andrea and that is actually my personal theory, but in one of the previous episodes we see the picture of his wife and she kind of looks like Andrea, so I think that is why he took her in and liked her, cuz she reminded him of his wife

Gigi

we get preemptive coping now

Luís Pedro Duarte

The only reason I would compare the governor and shane is bcs imo he did cross a major line with lori when he was drunk at the cdc, she had to tell him to stop multiple times and he kept going.

Sharon Quiroa

What? Lori literally had to scratch at his face to get Shane to stop, she was trying to push him off hard the whole time and he kept forcing himself on her.

TalbertInc

Yes i would definitely not compare Shane at all to the governor, it's a completely different character. Shane had a very passionate relationship with Lori, yes he became rather possessive, and in the scene at the CDC, he was very drunk and as soon as Lori pushed him off hard he stopped, almost seemed shock. Don't forger, in the first season Shane sneaks up on lori in the woods, puts a hand over her mouth, throws her to the grass and they screw, so clearly they had a unique kind of passion.. I would never compare that to the intentional terrorizing of a vulnerable woman held captive in a cell after your henchman viciously beat her husband. And yeah my conclusion about the governor was that he sniffed out men and women who were followers not leaders. Sociopaths are very good at sorting people who will serve their ends

rachel pelfrey

I always find Carl and Ricks relationship to be interesting. I do think Rick and Carl were always close. Carl looked up to Rick. This is why he wears the hat still. After the farm Carl had to really step up and I think now we see Rick really treating Carl like a capable member of the group and not just his kid son. But I agree with Spartan I think its very Rick of him to have that conversation with Carl about killing Lori. The door situation was definitely about his relationship with Lori. Great reaction. Can't wait for the next episode.

Aya

Here goes Spartan again with the generational Shane glaze lol. I love it!

Alex Walker

Pudgey what I think you’re picking up on is that Rick is talking to Carl more like a little growing man now. Sure protecting his son on the farm and on the road kept him busy and that did create some distance before the prison but he’s always seemed good about having a chat with Carl about the important things. That emotional door he couldn’t open was Lori and Shane and all the drama he’d been so level about before. I think he disassociated. He didn’t have time to go there it was all too much.

ShanB

If you ever notice that picture of the Governor, his wife and daughter (they show it a lot) you will notice how much Andrea resembles his late wife. I think he had his eye on her from the moment she got there.

Korivex

season 3 episode 7 and we're still talking about Shane lol

PokeTheBear

Glenn is such a beast. Love him

ZK

The governor has gone full on cult leader. When Michonne described the compound where the governor is holding up the people as Jonestown, that was exactly what I had been thinking. Jonestown was a cult started by the Reverend jim Jones. A bunch of people went off the grid because this guy promised some sort of nirvana experience. They left the US (not sure if any one from other countries joined) and camped out in Guyana. It was horrific he ended up convincing people that they needed to drink the kool aid which was a powdered drink that they basically mixed with water and sugar (if you have ever heard that expression) which was laced with cyanide. And they all died. There was a US senator there that was shot and killed as he tried to escape and a helicopter or a small plane came to get him and see if they could rescue others. He realized what the place really was... Sadly others did not. I wrote this from memory as it happened in the late 70s and I was a young teenager. i didn't learn about it until later on. I don't have the correct details. I think a few hundred people died. Freaked me out with Glen and Maggie and the walker going after Glen. Merle is a POS, the governor is a POS and psycho. I think he is only letting Andrea live to be his sex partner.

Lyn Hurst

Great ep, can’t wait for next one!!! I think The Governor had Milton do that experiment because he desperately wants to hear that his Walker daughter has some trace memories left over. But we found out from Jenner in season 1 that walkers don’t. Pretty sure the line Andrea said to Milton was word for word what Jenner said when they were watching that video, “whoever they once were is gone.”

Bill B.

loved this reaction😂 I honestly didn't think the govener was that bad until this episode and he only gets worse from this point on. you two are gonna HATEEE him😭

ilona

this is FALSE. Shane would have killed the Governor and secured Woodbury for Lori and Carl and made everyone else sleep outside the walls hahaha

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Great reaction guys!!! And yea the Governor is one of the greatest villains and performances in tv history which is why he makes this season for me imo and Glenn was just an absolute beast this episode, showed how tough he actually is. Imo the most interesting characters in this show are Rick and The Governor bc they bring so much .

JonSnow21

I think Shane would have happily joined the Governor.
