This is one of my favourite episodes and the reason is that I can't think of another show that allows side characters to shine in the way they do. The women commander captain Kirino of the mars fleet is amazing, Sinnopoli (the kid that had the message for her) was great, Southers and Co. Just Masterful storytelling much like champa, they make you care and mourn for characters we really only get a less than 10 min snippets.

2025-09-23 16:11:45 +0000 UTCAdmiral Souther was a good man, a man who stood by his convictions, ironically to a fault as if he had lowered himself to Nguyen's standards he would have survived and probably caused much less damage, though he stood by his convictions to the end. I agree it was an absolute robbery, but it was always going to end badly when he stepped down from Fleet command and gave it to Nguyen, best timeline he would have learned to play the game from Avasarala, that would have been a cool duo.
