oh hey, like when his homie Krazy 8 uses the broken plate in BB!

Cara M

Good point! But I guess he figured Gus's men know about his dad anyway and could retaliate even after Nacho is dead. Would've been cathartic to see him speak to Gus the way he spoke to Hector though!

Cara M

Nacho's story arc, as well as the background info about Mike's son, really adds so much more depth to Mike and Jesse's relationship for me. You can see the paternal feelings Mike has toward Jesse and the dread he feels knowing Jesse is on a bad choice road. Nacho's death is a great counter to Jesse's escape. Two amazing characters with such different fates. What a great cinematic universe!

Such a great episode and great reaction! Nacho is one of the greatest characters in all of television and cinema! I actually made a video on Nacho's journey when it first aired a few years ago if you ever feel like revisiting his story: https://youtu.be/lplIrNKepSk?si=KHvgXristkN4cOUO

Realistically, Nacho could have ended the Gus threat against his father if he decided to change his mind, and told the Salamancas the truth about everything at that final scene. He also could have used the gun and started shooting at Gus while using that guy he pulled the gun from as a human shield, but then, it would go against Gus’s character progression into BB.

Nacho went out like a champ. And half his speech was him expressing his true opinions about Gustavo, not just the Salamancas. Him taking all of the blame for Hectors condition totally cleared Gustavo and ultimately saved his fathers life. There was no way out for Nacho so he died the best way he could. RIP to an amazing character.

If Nacho killed Bolsa or any others at the end, the cartel likely would’ve went after his father. He wanted to go out on his terms

Some people think that BCS is even better than BB. I don't know if I agree, but BCS stands on its own as a fantastic show. This episode is a heartbreaker. Nacho is one of my favorite characters in the entire BCS/BB world.

RIP Nacho one of the best characters in this show. I feel like Mike and Nacho planned that he would go out on his own terms thats why Mike was saying "do it kid". Used the glass to slip free I think the original plan was that he just runs at Victor to try and escape then Victor ends it. Also fuck Victor he would have enjoyed killing Nacho hes absolute scum. Also the glass hes holding I think is what he took out the bin. Remember that Gus dropped a glass and threw the shards in the bin? Pretty cool tie in.

Nachos speech and death scene is top 2 or 3 in the whole BB and BCS universe. 🤯 #BreakingBad #BetterCallSaul #NachoVarga #Drama #Television

I usually watch these as soon as you upload, and I was about to, until I realized which episode it was. Didn’t feel like being sad last night. But here I am, ready now, with a box of tissues. RIP Nacho. You will be missed

Mama Browsss

As long as Nacho lived, his father would never be safe. He did it for his dad.

midothegreat

No Nacho! I really loved his character. Nachito as Lalo called him is little Nacho. Lalo even had a soft spot for him. I was so glad Nacho said all he did. That was a bold move grabbing Juan Bolsa. If he wasn't concerned about his father, he could have thrown Gus under the bus.

Lyn Hurst

Spartan hitting the exact same pose he hit during Ozymandias gave me flashbacks 😂

Nacho’s character is honestly amazing, not only for this series but for what he adds to Breaking Bad. Spartan touched on it here, but how Jesse relates to Nacho is a very apt comparison. If you reconsider Mike/Jesse after everything with Mike/Nacho you get a whole different perspective on Mike/Jesse. Obviously, they never had Nacho in mind for breaking bad (other than a throwaway line for Saul) when they wrote Jesse and Mike, but this whole series makes Jesse and Mikes relationship even closer. To me, I imagine as if Mike sees Jesse as an even younger and more naive Nacho, so is trying to steer him away from making the same mistakes, just as he does for Nacho based on what happened with his son. If you think about it, Mike failed with his son, he failed with Nacho, but he finally succeeded (even in his death) with Jesse. He finally got someone to enjoy the life he always wanted for those he cared about that were like himself. His redemption did come in the end.

its really a tough one. it was always the plan for nacho to die when brought to the salamancas. he just decided to go out on his terms. what a fricken amazing character and beautiful arc.

The man’s just died but pudgey wants to talk about how sexy he is Respect the dead pls

The intro scene is basically Nacho's grave years later. The landscape has changed a bit, plants have grown probably due to the fact that nobody's using that terrain anymore because everyone is dead. And in a way every single character that was present there got a worse death than Nacho. Also I love the fact that Nacho's big win was letting everyone know he put Hector in the chair because eventually all of that plays a role in Gus's death as well.

Pablo

Mike essentially killed his son twice

Pablo

In that moment, Nacho had everything he said he wanted to Eladio. Independence, autonomy, and wasn't looking over his shoulder. He was in control, and made it so the Salamancas could never get their revenge on him.

RIP Nacho💜 amazing character

Minerva Ravenclaw

Fantastic quote from Michael Mando, Nacho's actor, regarding his final scene: Every single one of [the men present] is dead, if you think about it. There’s an ominous thing to this scene, where these are all dead men walking, watching the first man die. But they’re already dead, they just don’t know it yet. The image of Nacho is the image of sacrifice, true love and bravery. It’s not the image of revenge. The ultimate act that defines the character is the act of sacrifice, and not anger, but love.

John Robles

"YOU THINK OF ME!" Obviously, Nacho chose that life, but he was a real one. It's hard not to feel for him, but at least he got to go out like a true badass... Cheers to Michael Mando for an unforgettable character!

J_Fley .

There was no way out for Nacho unfortunately...It was a good death for Nacho because he got to say his goodbye to his dad, his dad is safe now, told the Salamancas off especially hector and he went out on is own terms RIP Nacho

Joe Lazarus

I knew we were in for a good reaction when you were adamant that there was another plan lol, I love those kind of shocks, as messed up as it is

James Waters

Yep, it’s one of THOSE episodes again. RIP Nacho.
