I think Kim believes pulling a con against Howard with Jimmy will keep him happy, she probably felt like she was losing him so she will do this plus Howard hurt her ego.

2025-06-05 05:00:43 +0000 UTCI think Kim justifies what they’re doing because she believes that helping the backed up cases for the people who can’t afford lawyers morally makes up for and outweighs the bad of giving Howard a career setback. The money they would get from Sandpiper would allow her to be able to do pro bono clients forever and never need any income from some other client like Mesa Verde. Combine that with the events from Bagman she’s in a spot where her character is ready to move into this darker side, but she doesn’t really see it as dark or bad at all and has come to believe this is actually a good thing.
