Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen. Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

2025-04-05 12:39:58 +0000 UTCThere’s zero evidence Boris/Alexander is a time traveler or from any other time than when you saw his younger self, 1986. I really don’t understand where you guys got the idea he doesn’t belong in 1986, you are confusing yourselves completely unnecessarily :P Unless you explicitly see someone outside of the time they belong in (Jonah in 1986, Noah in 1986 and 2019 and Old Helge in 1986), then it’s assumed they belong where they are. The show does a decent job at showing the viewer that someone is outside of their time, mostly by showing them in multiple times but at the same age. Hope that makes things a little clearer.

2025-04-05 06:14:30 +0000 UTCIt doesn't really matter what you believe in terms of whether or not older Helge remembers the car crash or not, personally though I believe that he does remember but feels compelled to try and stop himself anyway. It makes the most sense in terms of the thematics of the show. Does free will truly exist or are we doomed to make the same mistakes over and over? Somewhere deep inside Helge knows that he can't stop himself. The thought of being so powerless to time terrifies the mind though. Its basically antithetical to all we believe in as a human race, the idea that we have control over our lives. So while Helge does remember and knows that nothing he does is going to amount to anything. Another part of himself deep down has to try and change it anyway because that is just human nature.. to believe that we play a role in our own lives and that we have some modicum of control over our actions and their outcomes. That's just what I believe is going on here anyway, and I just think it's the more interesting lense through which to the view the conundrum. Earlier on in the episode when older Helge is talking to younger Helge he does also acknowledge that he remembers having had that exact conversation before. I think that scene exists so that you can start to think about the things I've mentioned above.

2025-04-03 14:23:41 +0000 UTCHelge not remembering makes sense because as a child he had his head bashed by Ulrich and then he was in a car accident, put dementia on top of all that and I wouldn't expect him to be okay Helge was the one that dumped Yasin's and Erik's bodies in 1953 because we saw him drag Yasin's body out of the bunker while Noah was cleaning up the blood Spartan has really proven the haters wrong with this show 😂

Pudgey reading that as “Was Will the same person as Noah” took me out 😂 Hang in there guys, I know it gets overwhelming and I’m sorry to say that it will get a lot more complicated still, yet equally satisfying. I’ve seen reactors completely give up after the first season. This show challenges you unlike any other.

And yes, I believe old Helge wouldn’t have remembered his younger self having the interaction or accident with his older self because of the dementia, thus the cycle continues!

Sometimes dust is just dust, especially in a hotel where there only seems to be one person working. Regina’s hotel is dusty because it is not very busy, and it is understaffed.

The only evidence about him points to his real name being Boris, and assuming the identity of another person named Alexander in 1986. Who Boris is, and who the real Alexander was, has not been shown at all, and there is no indication that either of them are time travelers. The early experiments with time travel do not have to take place in an earlier year. They could have taken place in a year long after later experiments in time travel. That is the nature of timer travel. A person in the future can conduct 'early' experiments with time travel, then travel to the pas, and continue with ‘later’ experiments that actually happen earlier.

Regina seeing the dust is just what causes her to clean, which leads to her finding what older Jonas had done in the room. Looking too much at it appears to be causing confusion as you are trying to find some big meaning into something that doesn't really have one. The other thing that seems to be causing too much confusion (at least for Pudgey) is Aleksander being a time traveler. The moment the younger Aleksander come on screen you immediately assumed he must be a time traveler even though there was nothing pointing at that, instead of treating it as a "maybe he is, maybe he isn't, need more information." As a result you are trying to look at the whole picture with the assumption that Aleksander is a time traveler and are not considering the possibility that he could just be another character caught up in this mess.

2025-04-03 00:00:33 +0000 UTCI think you're misremembering re the bunker in 86, you've never seen inside it with it not having wallpaper at any point suggested by the show to be in 86. Whether future revelations may change the assumption or not, you're definitely meant to strongly assume that the wallpapered bunker is in 86 at this point and have had no evidence to the contrary as you seem to remember having. The TV in there was playing 80s music videos, 80s Helge who owns the bunker is putting people in there, the one time its ever shown locked is when Egon tried to get in in the 80s, Charlotte found the old strip of wallpaper in 2019, both Jonas and older Jonas were in the 80s in their preceeding scenes this episode before their conversation at the wallpapered bunker, and the gaudy decoration screams the 80s to me. Any time you've seen it not wallpapered as far as you know has been 1953, 2019 or whatever year jonas is in now and am guessing at some point you assumed one of these was an 86 scene.
