Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

What I personally think Jimmy is going through here is he's trying to solve his identity. Is he Slippin Jimmy or is he Jimmy McGill a lawyer you can trust. I think he's working on his solution to that problem which is what ends up making him become Saul Goodman. Eventually merging the two personalities into one or a combination of the two. He's still a lawyer but Slippin Jimmy as a lawyer helping criminals. In Breaking Bad helping the elderly seems so far in the past.

I agree. Also, in revealing that he worked with the cartel previously, it told Gus that the man has worked with the very people that Gus is currently trying to deceive, which means that Gus would put himself at even greater risk if he chose to work with him.

Jimmy and Chuck were able to put together a case against Sandpiper by taking the paper they shredded and reconstructing the documents. That was only possible because Sandpiper dumped everything into one place. Pay attention, Sean.

Jimmy and Kims relationship is my favorite portrayal of love in a series. It's really great watching them interact and just be normal together at home. It's the only normalcy in the show. The scene with Howard is tough. Something about him nervously washing his hands and splashing his face repeatedly and sporatically hits hard. I know he's portrayed as an antagonist from what we've seen but if you just think about Howard objectively the dude just wants to be good a good Lawyer and protect HHM. I really hope we don't see him spiraling as the show goes on, a built up deserved crash out like Chuck's in the courtroom was rewarding, but if Howard just slips into a deep depression it's really going to be tough.

“Doesn’t want what happened to Sandpiper to bite him in the ass” What are you talking about?

Sean van Hengel

Love this episode cause you’re seeing the birth of Saul Goodman’s client base. A far cry from the sweet elderly folks Francesca’s grown accustomed to serving, which is probably why she ends up so bitter and cold in BB.

Yeah that makes more sense actually, Walt’s been in the guy’s basement for a while when Saul got there

Alex I.

I think the reason Gus sent the first guy home was the fact that he bragged about a job he did for the cartel, digging a tunel under the border at El Paso. He figured if this guy can just drop that information out there he is not the man for the job because this has to be built completely in secret.

I don't think Saul would have any way of knowing that shit was hitting the fan at the time of hank's shootout with Jack's crew. It's probably happening the day after, after Walt Jr had already called the cops and an amber alert was set for Holly. That's more likely since when Saul arrived at the vacuum store Walt was already there.

Pablo

The intro scene takes place around the same time as Ozymandias, probably as Hank is duking it out with Jack's gang in the desert. Saul is wearing the purple shirt, carries the blue bags and has the scar from getting punched in the nose by Jessie. Also, notice how Saul asks Francesca to drop the shredded paper in separate dumpsters, he doesn't want what happened to Sandpiper to bite him in the ass. He also hides his money in the ceiling, the same way Jimmy used to hide his coins in the ceiling of his father's shop.
