Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

I love how the storylines parallel each other in episodes even when they don't overlap, like both Jimmy and Mike throwing themselves into work to avoid going to therapy. It's funny Spartan saying Nacho wasn't created in Breaking Bad yet, because he was technically namedropped by Saul in his first BB episode!

Cmon Mike, upgrade that phone. Call CC Mobile and ask for your boy Jimmy!!

I had to laugh a little about what Spartan said about the Albuquerque look in relation to Jimmy's office because I wish that were true. For anyone that lives in the US we know it is the look of every strip mall, in every city, in every state. The only difference between the timeline of the show and now is 75% of those strip malls sit empty. BTW I am not being critical or making fun of the comment. I said laugh because the sad truth is that cookie cutter look is emblematic of so many of the problems we see nowadays. Like the song Big Yellow Taxi says "We paved paradise to put up a parking lot."

Lots going on this episode. I didn't like how Mike addressed the grief support group, but I get he was having a hard time listening to Stacey talk about forgetting about Matty for a few hours that day. I realize the guy that was talking about how broken up he still was over his fictitious wife would be very irritating in contrast to Mike's real pain over his son. What I didn't like was his blaming the group for not noticing the guy who was lying about grieving over his wife. Those places need to be safe, and they aren't looking for tells like Mike mentioned but just letting people speak. Unless someone does something really off, they would just let it be. I don't think commiserating was what all of them were doing. People were sharing about making progress and some are there to heal. I went to one several months after losing two family members in a short amount of time, and it was really freeing to share about how raw I was feeling. I didn't want to burden some of my other family members because they were also in the throes of grief. So in this episode we have one bad apple, although he could have been there processing some issue that he couldn't say who it was. Mike was badass with Gus. Very sad to see Nacho in so much pain and still having to act like it is nothing around the cartel and Gus. If these people smell fear, you will be taken out.

The events of this episode take place April 10-12, 2003. Breaking Bad starts in September, 2008.
