Next Short Series Poll! *PLEASE READ*

Read carefully because we are changing things up a bit this time.
We are going to run a poll a little early for our next short series that will replace The Penguin and The Queens Gambit, so we can prepare schedule wise for a busy next few months. Now, since we are taking a short break from movies due to Pudgey's pain, we are already doing a 1x episode a week short series in place of the movie.
We want to take on a slightly longer (but still short series) 2x a week alongside the usual BCS 2x a week and the 1x a week show (about to be Squid Game Season 2)
The shows we are choosing are going to be based off ones we feel comfortable will perform adequately at this time, alongside being the length of around 2-4 months at the rate of 2x per week.
You can vote for multiple choices so please vote for all the options you are interested in!

Enjoy. We also have a Dark channel in the community discord, and lots of dark fans in there if you ever wanna discuss with other fans. =) Invitation is there for anyone else as well obviously. =)

2025-01-21 07:40:35 +0000 UTCAll 3 looked great to me, making it a null vote, so I only picked one. But S1/2 Westworld and Daredevil are great. Daredevils a little iffy though, part of it's story is reliant on watching The Defenders. between the second and third season. And the Defenders is a little reliant on also seeing 2 seasons of Jessica Jones and 1 season of Luke Cage (can skip Iron Fist though). Worth considering before jumping in head first, but even if it was just 1 season I'd be keen.

Both Dark & Westworld have almost won polls multiple times, so they both have a lot of momentum, and given DD arguably might also require a watch of Punisher show to full catch up for new season its probably less commitment too. So I think it has a pretty strong chance. I agree I think they will really enjoy it.

2025-01-16 06:50:19 +0000 UTCYes they do tend to be a little late on such things, that said they are trying to plan things out in advance a good bit this year to make sure they can react to some of the newly airing or new seasons of shows coming out this season, albeit Daredevil and Severence are exceptions to that. Squidgame lined up as good as it could between them starting S1 just recently, it only wrapping up recently and the fact s2 started middle of holiday break which is not ideal time for reactors generally. =)

Imo Westworld IS a dialogue heavy show, lots of exposition especially in S1. And with Dark they’ll be reading subtitles the entire time. Also with Daredevil having 39 episodes it would take closer to 5 months even with 2x a week. Either way I’ll happily rewatch Severance again regardless of when they get around to it if they ever do, I’d just love to see them cover a show while people are still talking about it.

Recap video for Defenders since they haven't watched several of those other shows and its not a very liked show so probably poor performance not worth the time and resources for a full reaction. Kinda tricky with these shows that have lots of build up from other shows but can be done with good timing and good planning.

Season 2 starts Friday and so many reaction channels are finally starting to cover it + there’s a lot of hype in general around it versus Westworld which was put in the grave years ago. If you’ve learned one thing from this channel it’s to not judge a book by its cover. I KNOW you guys would love it, especially if you’re willing to sit through a series about chess. Severance has been compared to Westworld and many people already think it’s the better/more promising of the two. But oh well :/
