Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

...his age and he literally mentioning "jungle".

There's so much in this show! Despite all the rewatches and reactions I never spotted 2 thanks! :D

lemmy

Wow! Me neither! He even looked younger than he looked on BB.

Dónde está la biblioteca

It is very easy to miss. I also missed that on first watch.

AlrightThere

i've seen both shows many times but Tuco not long being out of jail in BB was something I missed aswell! Very well spotted

AlrightThere

Great overview! They are probably a lot further ahead now but a lot of these points make the world very interesting.

AlrightThere

I didn't either on first watch.

AlrightThere

Most people don't. I didn't until my second rewatch.

Vhaxem

Didn't even recognize Krazy-8.

RuinedX

Pretty sure others have probably said these already but there’s a few references in this episode: 1. That’s Krazy 8 (Walter’s first kill) in the taco restaurant and he’s wearing the uniform for Tampico (and driving a Tampico van) his dad’s furniture store that he and Walter talk about in BB. 2. The story about Dawg the biker guy is spoken about by Hank in BB. He mentions Tuco is suspected for killing a Dawg Paulson when the cartel took the crank trade from SoCal Biker gangs. 3. Yes, Tuco had recently been in prison and Skinny Pete was his cell mate, that’s how Jesse gets the meeting with Tuco in Season 1. 4. Pudgey mentioned it, but the gun dealer is the same guy that sold Walter his guns in BB. Also Mike is heavily implying he was a sniper in Vietnam.

My concern with waiting to do BCS was you'd miss little things... you did miss Domingo/Krazy8, but remembering Tuco being in jail was impressive!

J_Fley .

So many Breaking Bad callbacks here, main one being the one you caught: yes, tuco in breaking bad was just getting out of jail and Mike was the one who put him there. Tuco got to be cell mates with skiny Pete which is how Jesse got introduced to tuco. Crazy to see the ramifications of Mike's actions years before have a butterfly effect that ends up pairing Jesse and Walt with Tuco, crazy. Another call back is Crazy8 showing up for what seems like his first dealings for Tuco. The man is just starting on this business and he even has his uniform and van from Tampico furniture which is his dad's store. Walt even mentions that he once went to this store and met a young crazy8 possibly around this time, he said this in the same episode he killed the guy. Lastly we have the gun guy which is the same guy that sells guns to Walter in BB and yeah the implication is that Mike was probably in Vietnam.

Pablo

The guy Tuco met with in the taco place was Krazy 8 - the guy Walt ended up killing in Jesse's basement. Taco is high on meth so it makes his rage stronger and fueled by his adrenalin level which is really high from the meth. I am thinking if this could be a half measure, not the same story Mike spoke about in BB, but similar. However, we know how close Hector and Tuco are along with the twins and their family. As Hector said to the twins once, la Familia es todo. Family is all.

Man i forgot how good this episode was, and your discussion at the end also amazing. As Spartan said, its almost as if this was the way it was always intended. That could pretty much sum up the entire BCS series, the callbacks are so good that you think okay there is no way they didn't have this backstory on their heads when they were writing breaking bad. Most likely they didn't lol but that just makes it more impressive.

Pablo

The boxing gloves necklace Mike took…did you happen to notice who was wearing it before the fight? And yes, it’s heavily insinuated that Mike was a Marine sniper…probably in Vietnam judging by his age. This is probably why he doesn’t want to “pull the trigger” anymore. At least not at this time…

Tim Martin

Nacho calls him by his real name. He is just “Domingo” at this time. Hasn’t gotten his nickname yet hehehe. And the Tampico Furniture van parked next to Tuco and he’s wearing his Tampico uniform shirt. Some very subtle hints. And yes, the fact that he looks timid instead of semi- badass as he was in BB…makes it easy to miss unless you’re a certified BB/BCS addict such as myself 😟

Tim Martin

How did you guys not recongise Krazy-8? He's Walt's first kill!

Alex I.

Tbf I'm not sure I've ever seen a reactor recognize him!

lemmy

They didn't recognize Krazy-8 in the scene with Tuco in the cafe! I'm just saying :)

Jackhammer

two small breaking bad cameos in this episode: 1. the man who meets mikes for the rifles also sells walter the gun defend himself from gus. 2. domingo or crazy 8, the dealer in the restaurant, is the same that walter kills in jesses basement way back in season 1 with the bike lock :D
