Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

You may notice every episode title gets dropped in some way during each episode, like Marco or Mike's pimento sandwich in Ep 9 'Pimento'

That’s a really good way to describe the first season

I like to think of Better Call Saul season 1 as one big 10 hour Pilot episode instead of just the first season of the show. It takes its time setting up our main characters, plot lines, anatagonistic forces, motivations and morals for each character and by the end of it every piece of the puzzle, every character is where they need to be for the real story to start

I came here to post this. Lol. I love that little detail.

MOVIE REQUEST: Can you watch 'All Quiet On The Western Front'

The ending of this episode and season feels like this is the beginning of Saul Goodman, when in reality there's a very long way to go still! That's because when the show came out it wasn't clear whether the reception would be good enough to warrant subsequent seasons, so the writers wanted to have have something resembling a conclusion at the end of it.

This episode was a well-written exploration of Jimmy's character, past and future. It also gave meaning to subtle details in Breaking Bad, like the pinky ring, which is the brilliance of Vince Gilligan's writing and that Kevin Costner is a really great actor.

I love this episode . The metaphor of the duality of the coin is incredible. One side of the coin represents Jimmy as the eager younger brother, who moved to New Mexico to impress Chuck and seek his approval. However, in the previous episode, Jimmy discovers that Chuck has been working against him all along, shattering that goal. The other side of the coin represents Slippin' Jimmy (or Saul Goodman) which Marco awakens in him. But in this episode Jimmy also literally loses Marco, his "other brother." There is an emptiness there, as he’s now lost both of his brothers, Chuck, who embodied the lawyer he aspired to be, and Marco, who brought out his shadier side. Then Kim grants him the opportunity, but in the parking lot he hesitates. The frame looks like Jimmy from the back looking East (like the legitimate coin). However, as he feels Marco's ring he's reminded of the thrill he had with him, similar to Marco who described it as "the best week of his life." Honestly, perfect writing that brilliantly sets up Jimmy's inner struggle between his two sides.
