Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

The problem with the water was actually because there supply was contaminated with oil because they used old oil drums ( like the ones Sledge was cleaning ) to bring water to shore.. Someone didn't clean out the oil drums good enough and contaminated there entire water supply. They went without water for 2 days in reality in 40c to 46c temp until they could bring clean water from another Island. Also salt pills helped with dehydration. The guy they accidently killed with a entrenching tool.. they actually stuck him with 3 shots of morphine and he was still fighting.. The guy with the shovel or ( entrenching tool ) accidently hit him with the sharpened edge used for cutting into earth or wood ( roots of trees ) instead of the flat part of the tool.

This is my first time watching your uncut version. I’m surprised you guys haven’t found the original intros to each episode and included them in your reactions. They are essential and provide context - for example, the Marine veterans addressed the extreme temperatures on Peleliu & lack of clean drinking water & and how they were nearly decimated during that airfield crossing. ** Maybe gift yourselves for the holidays The Pacific Blu-ray, which would have the Marine veteran intros. You need to watch them.

- I remember a few episodes ago that it was raining non-stop, and now... no water. - I'm wondering about that guy who went crazy. Couldn't they just have punched him? Looked like they used the butt of a gun. And even then, I'm not sure, but what are the chances that would kill him? Seems a little farfetched to me. - When they finally arrived at the other end of the airfield, suddenly a tank showed up, and then I always wonder: where was that tank a few moments ago? 🤔

They wound up not even using the Peleliu airstrip. It was really interesting for the producers to pass over some of the more famous island battles to tell this story which sort of got lost to time since its success became irrelevant. It really highlights the sheer tragedy of this aspect of the war which the entire series is more invested in than BoB. It asks some really difficult questions about who is making the decisions that endanger these men and does their rationale actually live up to the sacrifice?

Glad you two are really appreciating the series and the depth and gravity of the situations the people of the time were going through. The show does a great job at depicting the reality of combat and the emotions people go through in these situations.
