Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

We hope you enjoy the video!

what's up with the audio? after 4:05 it's totally silent and the episode "capture frame" is smaller than the one on YT

hson

no audio at all after the intro to episode, until 19:24 min in

Masters of the Air yes

Emanuel Muresan

You gotta check out masters of the air.

Rob

Masters of the Air is worth watching at some point

Joe

The direction of Masters of the Air is objectively not as good as BoB and The Pacific. It doesn’t quite explore a lot of the moral challenges from the different point of views like in this one and BoB. That being said it is still worth the watch. Personally, whenever I see a movie or TV series that does a great job of depicting the horrors of war and the sacrifices soldiers had to make is enough for me buy in. Masters of the Air captures that for me and I think it would for you guys as well. MotA lends a different aspect of the war, particularly aerial combat, that demonstrates how brutal the path to aerial superiority was for the allied forces. In my opinion, the film’s greatest achievement lies in its grounded approach to portraying the combat experiences of its pilots, air crew, etc, which was crucial at the specific time of the war.

Wes

Did you guys recognise the actor who plays Eugene? He is the kid from the first Jurassic Park movie. Enjoy Pacific. Not as good as Brothers but still very good

Deepan Nathan

I kinda loved master of the air. Thought it was better than the pacific but not better than BoB’s

Deepan Nathan

Great Episode 1 reaction of The Pacific though.

Paul De'Armond

Masters of Air - Pass 👎

Paul De'Armond

The actor for the guy with the hearth murmur (Eugene Sledge) is the little boy in Jurassic Park.

King_Panarisi

Yessss was there a vote for this one??? Didn’t expect so soon!

ShanB

Just to put it into perspective.. At the first battle of Alligator Creek.. The Japanese lost 1,200+ men and the Marines lost around 30 in a 12 hour battle. The Japanese got slaughtered.

CaleJTT

Yay! I’m watching this for the first time with y’all =)

Katie Thomas

What a show! With the handshake thing, I understand it looks strange to us now that the dad doesn't hug him but this was the 40s so that was probably the norm.

Kwisatz Haderach

yeah online versions don't come with the interviews for some reason. It only comes with the physical box set.. you can find them all on youtube tho if you guys want to see them.. Just search "the pacific historical background".. its the first video that pops up. all 10 are one 1 video I think.. They are time stamped tho so its not too bad to navigate..

CaleJTT

Not a huge deal, but if you want the versions with the interviews up front, I do have the files. It does add to the show. Plus it helps with the history part of it.

Michael D.

this is the version that was available to us on HBO Max. doesn't seem to have what you described

CpaSpartan Pudgey

There is a version of the Pacific with interviews and helpful summary to start. Don't know why some versions don't have that.
