Full Length Reaction Guide

If at some point you feel like re-watching the show , i'd recommend checking out Youtube channel called Reel History. I'ts ran by a history professor who wrote a book focusing on Winters and he's done a reaction of sorts to BoB. He points out some of the inaccuracies and you'll get a lot of insight to the events and the men while re-living some of the moments in the show.

The Allies had to stay on to occupy Germany until they could help re-build Germany and help them set up a new government, etc. Also because Russia started taking over the Eastern European countries. America still has soldiers in Germany and Japan. In Germany it is now more about protection/NATO.

2024-10-24 02:18:48 +0000 UTCI loved watching this with you guys. This is one of the best series I have ever watched as far as a docuseries goes. Very interesting. I am a puddle right now. So beautiful. I believe most of the WWII veterans are dead now. They would be in their 90s at the youngest at this point. This was made in the early 2000s. It was hard seeing Damian Lewis (Winters) on this show after just watching Peaky Blinders and seeing the tribute to Helen McCrory (who was his wife). I teared up thinking about them. I was so glad they showed the German officer's speech to his company. I am glad they didn't show them all as Nazis or evil. There were many who were, but not all knew that they had been duped by Hitler with his delusions of dominating Europe.
