Especially Shirley & Steve who people tend to be the hardest one as they are the most practical and pragmatic of the bunch. I've had a soft spot for the Dad every watch of mine because of how much he tries to do the right thing but often fails to say or do it in the right moment. A lot more revealed in the next one I cant wait!

2024-10-15 00:04:03 +0000 UTCPudgey when you asked who the mum was speaking to in her trance, she was in the twin's room, when the trance broke she turned to her son and asked where they were when she spotted they weren't there and whilst in the trance she said "sweetheart". It's reasonable to assume who she thought she was speaking to.

First the coffin dropped, when Steve and Hugh were arguing, then knocking at the door while Shirley and Theo were fighting and then back at the car with Shirley and Theo. That jumpscare gave me a heart attack. It is interesting how they emphasize that Hugh fixes everything. I wonder if the kids do the same in a way. Like Shirley fixes the dead in a way, Theo fixes people through psychology like this girl with Mr. Smiley.

2024-10-14 06:12:38 +0000 UTCAlso I think the point Pudgy was alluding to regarding the clock instead of the treehouse was the witness marks (title of the ep as well) that Hugh was mentioning with the clock - How the witness marks on the clock are the only thing to show how the clock ticks and what work has been done to it. Hugh said only a few people in the world can read the witness marks on that clock and only Hugh can read the witness marks on Steve, even he doesn't know how the ghosts have been working on him for years but Hugh can see it. The same goes for the whole Crane family...Nell's psychologist couldn't understand her witness marks to the house either. Same with the Rehab center for luke

2024-10-14 04:56:01 +0000 UTCI think what makes Steve's haunting in his book so creepy to Hugh is that Steve talks about ghosts/haunted experiences several times throughout the story and has no idea he's being haunted just as much as the rest of the family, he's just too naive to realize it or he's too stubborn to accept it. It seems Hugh is most scared for Steve in the house because he will stare death in the face and just let it kill him because of his stubbornness to accept what he's looking at

Don’t worry , we all did and I love that you get’s Steve’s backstory and you realise why he feels the way he does bc the way it looks from his perspective is definitely suspicious and I also love how Luke has the guts to go back and Shirley is genuinely just annoying without much redeeming qualities lol.

Hopefully as they watch more things this will improve over time. Thankfully it doesn't affect their understanding of things too often, so its more often entertaining than problematic.

I love how, being HoHH, it also has poignant significance: it's like Nell is showing her frustration and trying to stop her siblings from fighting. And it works!
