There aren't many reactors that have reacted to Dark, but my feed is absolutely flooded with Reactions to BCS. Gotta admit, I was really hoping for Dark on THIS channel cause it's not only a fabulous story, but it's very convoluted and requires a viewer to be good with attention to detail. Pudgey is so good at noticing and remembering details, that I don't think you guys would get lost and need to make a chart or take notes (hides "Dark" notes behind back... 😁). I just know you guys would love it! Maybe next time.

I disagree with people when they say early BCS is slow, I think it's paced exactly like early breaking bad. The difference is that Saul's payoffs aren't as explosive but they're just as effective.

I found now some another youtubers which is starting right now or started a while ago with "The Expanse", probably i will focus them now. Last year? What? They never committed to it happening at a specific time. BB ended in February of this year on Patreon, and 6 months ago on youtube, that's the shortest wait of any show on this channel. They wanted to take a break with no hard start date. This is also why it was on the poll. Just because they watched one show, does not mean a companion show automatically gets watched, because they have to consider their entire community, not just BB fans. They also don't want to watch something before they are ready, because then they won't be sufficiently invested and the reactions won't be as good because their heart won't be in it. As far as pacing. BCS will take 8 months for them to finish at their pacing for longform shows.

@Tax2er, Dark being the shorter show means people whose shows didn't get picked will vote it just to the polls quicker. Out of the 2k votes, 1/4 of it was for BCS, so if they do a repoll, the other 1.5k who don't want BCS probably won't vote for it because it would take them 8 months to complete compared to Dark, which would only take 3 months. This wouldn't be very fair, which is why it is only one round lol.

Ah yea and i dont really like multiple choice, cause it takes away the value of a vote. If the people can vote only once, they will use it wisely for themselves. If they can vote more often, they can fuck around how they want. Their will be a good percentage of people, who read the comments about people wanting to watch dark, and then vote for BCS, because they want to see more ranting in the comments. I'm fine with BCS, I don't think its an ideal reaction show, but its one I enjoy so I'll be watching it. That said, they finished Breaking Bad in February of this year, which took 8 months+1 movie. So a pretty heavy portion of recent channel long-form content is going to be BB oriented within this span of time. Its a bit unfortunate for people in the community that aren't into BB+BCS to have 16 months of breaking bad in this span of time, when they only have 1 longform show slot. I personally would prefer a bit more variety over this span of time before circling back to the same property, given they only have 1 longform slot. Especially since half the shows on these polls, those people have waited since the original creation of this patreon page to win, back when they were just starting Game of Thrones, and thats also not counting the people waiting for shows that haven't gotten on the polls yet. Its just a bit more imbalanced than I personally would prefer.

If you want the actual answer. They were getting stressed out by people constantly asking for it/complaining non stop on all 3 of their platforms (I am not saying everyone was doing that, but a sub-group of people were, so don't come at me) so they didn't wait as long as they originally intended to wait to put it on a poll. Personally I would've preferred to get the 3 month show done and out of the way before doing an 8 month show, since they only have 1 long-form show slot, but what can ya do.

Sorry but this guy just didnt get it lol. All the steps it takes to go from point A to point B are never the point of setup sequences but rather all the details that give away character traits or personality tropes or plot points that may seem little at the time (not really if you are actually giving it the atention it deserves but whatever) but actually help to built the stakes and help understand what the character is going through. Because yeah, they wont spell it out for you like you are dumb. You have to pick up the clues they leave along the way. And honestly its not that hard im sure S&P wont have any trouble following all the characters motives.

Don't do BCS. There are a few good moments here and there but it is sooo slow. Even if Breaking Bad was amazing it was also slow sometimes but BCS takes it to another level. For example, Saul needs to go somewhere, for whatever reason. You will see him drive the road, turn into the parking where the place is, find a place, park his car, get out of his car, take a long walk to the door and finally enter the fucking building. This will take a whole 3 minutes. There are a lot of fillers, and it is six seasons, for not that much reward.

From a business perspective, shows like Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and The Walking dead are so popular with so many people that they are the shows that "keep the lights on" for the channel so to speak. They should be automatic, really, and not part of a poll. They are long, they are extremely popular, and they will get a lot of views. Keep building all of the other things, particularly shorter series, around those big ones. No small show is ever going to win against these big ones unless it is either lightning in a bottle or the hot "right now" thing still airing.

Not really, if you put atention to it the well thought out character writing present since the begining is way more interesting than any fancy shootout happening late in the game. Those action scene while masterfully directed and shot beatifully would mean a lot less if the characters involved in them were not as fleshed out as they are. And thats because these guys actually know how to build characters from the very begining. The character you are mentioning is great but but i can think of at least 5 other characters from the first like 3 seasons that are just as good or better.

And I disagree with you on the first part I enjoyed TLK more. Same I would have loved The Last Kingdom or Vikings but well maybe in the future who knows? And BCS isn't a bad series I actually found it rather enjoyable. Is it my favourite no, will I rewatch it probably not. I also never really bingewatched it, it was more like a feel good thing when you're bored like How did I met your mother or The Big Bang Theory. And before I'm getting lynched that's just my opinion and I didn't say it was bad, just a lighthearted fun show it does get more serious later on.

Shame about this poll, I’ll be honest, not a fan of either BCS or dark (yes we’re all entitled to our own opinions) really wanted vikings or TLK to win, BCS being a long show means I’ll be out of the main show slot for a while, it is a decent series overall, but for a reaction channel I don’t think so, EXTREMELY slow placed and will take up a huge amount of time, easily 6-9 months for reactions and I just don’t think it’s even close to the masterpiece of BB, might have to pause on patreon as not much going on right now that I’m into and I don’t think the odd movie reaction is enough for me. But this is a democracy after all so fair win! Enjoy the reactions to everyone who voted for BCS/dark 😀.

I don't have an issue with people advocating their favorite shows because they want to watch reactions to it. Advocating people to vote for the shorter show is essentially voting against something just so you get to vote for something you are actually interested in sooner. There is only one reason to vote for BCS on this poll: You want to watch S&P react to BCS. There are two reasons to vote for Dark: Either you want to watch S&P react to Dark, or you don't, but you realize your preferred show isn't either included/winning the poll, and you simply vote for the shortest show that has a chance of winning so you will get to another show faster. The end result with the latter is that you get bunch of votes from people who don't even plan to watch the reactions or have any interest in the show at all. Luckily, as you said, this is a multi-choice poll so the effect on this is probably quite small. I'm sure there are still people who are currently voting for either The Expanse, Vikings or The Last Kingdom, without interest in either Dark or Better Call Saul. You are essentially advocating those members to throw a vote for Dark as well if their show no longer has a chance to win, so they get to vote again sooner. This goes against the spirit of the poll: "Choose all the shows you would like us to react to next". These people don't want them to react to Dark, but realize that it's their best chance to get to another show faster. I joined Patreon with Breaking Bad, as did many others and have been hoping to get to BCS at some point. If you think the fandom will stick around for years on Patreon patiently waiting through shows they have zero interest in you are mistaken. The longer it goes that BCS doesn't win a poll, the less likely it is to win in the future, as more and more of the people who joined Patreon through Breaking Bad have moved on to other channels.

Respectfully, no one is making people vote for anything. I don't see the issue as long as people are polite. BB has a huge audience here, I very much doubt it would lose next round. The chances of the voter demographic changing much in 3 months is unlikely based on prior history on the patreon. As far as I am aware there are no comparable heavy hitters planned to be added to the next poll. If more people legitimately want to watch something other than what people are requesting a vote for on, then then it quite literally cannot win the poll. The poll winner is whoever gets the most votes, and every single person voting pays for Patreon. I don't see this being any different then people simply saying "vote BCS" or "Vote Vikings" etc. Once we have two main show slots instead of 1, having a show not everyone wants run for 7, 8, 11 months of the year won't be as big of a deal to people, and so these types of comments will likely reduce drastically. I see nothing wrong with advocating for a drastically shorter show, that will take drastically less time, that has almost the same votes currently, and which has much less chance of winning in the future due to the nature of the show, and does not have a companion show that was watched for 8 months not that long ago on the very same reaction channel. I think thats a pretty reasonable advocation, and people are welcome to ignore it. Not sure why you would take more issue with simple advocation than people flat out attacking each other for differing show opinions, which is a decent portion of the poll comments. Also, this is a multi-choice poll. One need not remove a vote from elsewhere, to vote for another show. Ultimately its everyones decision to make.

It would take 3 months to finish Dark. It would take 8 months to finish Better Call Saul. If Dark wins this time, there is only 3 months to wait until there is a new poll, which BCS would most certainly win. This would also mean BCS's strongest competitor would not be on the next poll at all. How many bones are BCS fans expected to throw? We wanted it to follow up Breaking Bad like most reaction channels do, because the show is best enjoyed when you still remember what happened in Breaking Bad. S&P didn't feel like doing it at the time, sure ok I can understand that, so we didn't get it on the first poll. We watched Stranger Things and waited maybe next poll. Ok, we watched Stranger Things can we get BCS now? Nope, still not feeling like it. Ok, sure Peaky Blinders it is, I can dig that - it's a good show. Now we finally got included in the poll, and we should just give it to fans of yet another show just because it's only a few more months? They only put things on the polls they are interested in seeing. Even if a lot of people ask for something, if they don't think they will have an interest in it, it doesn't end up on a poll. Personally I think its better that there is minimal influencing aspects for these polls outside of giving relevant notations such as what language the show is in, subbed or dubbed, how many seasons, if they have seen it before or one of them has seen it partially and so on. This is pretty much how ive seen every other reaction patreon work, at least the ones that are S&P's size and ones larger, but im not trying to be dismissive, just my two cents.

i understand peoples love for BCS and it is a good show which i enjoyed…but it would be dead last on my list to watch people react to it. BrBa/BCS are some of the only few shows I watch reactions on other channels aside from S&P as well. I think BCS is a fantastic reaction show with right people reacting to it. For reference, my favorite S&P reactions lately have been Good Will Hunting and Chernobyl. I guess we just look for different things from reactions.

@Brian I mean its perfectly fine to have that opinion. Everyone has opinions on all of these shows at the end of the day. As such, the polls exist for a reason. They don't put anything on the poll they don't think they would like. Many people disagree with you that they would dislike it. There are disagreements on these shows and other shows, thats why we have the polls, so everything is fair. They have also watched a number of subtitled shows on the channel in the past, and have another one coming up with Squidgames. If this is your personal opinion thats fine, but we have polls to sort it out at the end of the day because these are long term commitments of anywhere from 3 to 11 months. Especially so when they only have 1 longform show slot. They have to take all their paying customers, and the community at large into account. Its just not that simple. Its also not confusing if you actually pay attention. Seen many reactors do just fine with it, and I've watched it in person with different people more than once, and they all do fine. Have a little faith in their ability.

@reaction junkie yeah this is tricky because the first handful of episodes is basically introducing everything and stage setting/setting the table but its necessary so that they can do certain things once the story truly gets going into the meat of what its about. Things start to take off from 1x6 onward and especially 1x9 onward, and once you get to season 2 its basically a non-stop rollercoaster until the end, but I have had this issue with some shows myself where there is a lot of fanfare and I struggled to get into it. In some cases I never was able to, in some cases I was able to eventually. There was one show where I watched the first handful of episodes like 4 different times over the course of 2 years, and the 4ths time around I got to a certain point where things finally "clicked" and it became a show I really liked a lot and was basically binging. Things are weird like that, so I definitely understand.

I both agree and disagree haha. The first 2 seasons of BCS is mind numbingly boring but the latter seasons are easily up there if not better then peak BB. Dark tho, I have tried watching it in earnest 4 x but can't seem to get past the first few episodes. I want too because of all the hype people have for the show. It has an incredible fan base but for some reason I just can't get into it.

I am not going to point fingers at anyone in particular. I am just going to say that everyone needs to chill out and be more respectful of each other. Things are getting too hostile and toxic all around. If people continue to not follow through on this, then we WILL disable the comments on the polls, because we have very few (almost no) moderation tools on patreon and we must do what it necessary to provide a friendly and inviting environment people want to participate in. They don’t make 11 seasons of a laughably bad show. It’s probably one of THE best shows to react to tbh. There are amazing seasons all the way to bad seasons just like GOT. But saying it’s poor or laughably bad is just an opinion (a wrong one). Shows don’t last that long or get multiple multi season spinoffs if they are that bad. The walking dead would make for fantastic viewing with these two. I hope it happens one day.

The Good Place and The Bear are amazing shows, i dont think they are that far off from this channel's brand. But honestly you should give BCS a try, you dont even have to watch BB honestly if the masculinity aspect of it doesnt interest you (bc you are right it is very oriented towards themes like male struggles and violence). On the other hand BCS deals with depression, brotherhood, codependency in relationships and themes that are way more progressive.

I guess in comparison to BB this is probably true! I never made it through the second half of season 1 because it just wasn’t for me so I never got around to BCS; can’t speak on that one specifically! In terms of what I would like to see… I joined for HotD/GoT but also loved ATLA and Stranger Things. Some other reactors I watch are doing The Bear, which has been fun. Lots of comments for Lost, which I think fits the vibe of the channel well enough. It’s not like I would recommend Glee 🤪 or The Good Place or anything that really departs from their brand haha, but honestly I think I got lucky with some of the stuff they’ve already covered and I’m probably not exactly their target audience anyways 😅 I just love listening to them break down a good show!
