In the film, Craig has a strong Southern accent to fit his character. He said on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast that he was incredibly nervous to do it in front of the cast.

Honestly though, trying to guess what S&P will find funnier is impossible for any of us, so I think they should go with whichever one wins the poll. Maybe you guys should start going with watching the two top pics from each movie round (but obv the poll winner first). I feel like I keep seeing people coming down on the movie that isn’t their own pick each poll, and maybe they’d feel less need to do so if both get watched. Just a suggestion.

2024-08-19 00:46:45 +0000 UTCI think comparing these films is apples and oranges to be honest. Tropic Thunder is a straight up comedy, it’s not meant to be taken serious in any way. These films are just different. Tropic Thunder is much funnier than knives out (my opinion) but that’s all it has going for it; however, that’s all it’s meant to be lol. Knives out is a multifaceted film that has drama, suspense and some comedy. Knives out is a legit full on movie, whereas Tropic Thunder is just for laughs, nothing more. I respect your opinion though, and even agree that knives out is a better overall movie. I was genuinely delighted to see how kind and respectful you are. Thats a relief in the world we live today.

RDJ got an oscar nomination for best supporting role, lol but this movie never fails to make me laugh every time I watch it. It's a desert island movie for sure.
