2024-06-17 20:15:36 +0000 UTCOG fan since literally the first day season 1 dropped, and season 4 definitely lives up to the hype. my current ranking is s4, s1, s3, s2, with some wiggle room between s2 and s3 (i think s2 is stronger plot/writing wise but some of my favorite dynamics/characters come into play during s3)

2024-06-09 00:34:38 +0000 UTCWelcome to one of the best seasons of any tv-show. Excited to go through the season with you. Max has been one of my favourite characters since she appeared. I love her friendship with El, and I like how her relationship with Billy is very complicated but she obviously cared about him. They do a great job showing her dealing with the trauma of watching him die. The actors playing Eddie and Chrissy apparently became good friends shooting this episode. I’m presuming the storyline with Chrissy being killed in Eddie’s trailer (thus making him a suspect by default) and him playing D&D and listening to Metallica has taken inspiration/influence from the satanic panic and the West Memphis Three. The end scene with them was really well done, and so unsettling. I have to admit though that I was an idiot the first time I watched the episode. When she was throwing up I thought she was pregnant. An eating disorder didn’t even cross my mind.

2024-06-08 22:53:20 +0000 UTChaha ok so about the characters' ages and where they're at: -Nancy and Jonathan are in their final year of HS (18 y/o), which is why they're talking about college applications. the jobs they had at Hawkins Post in s3 were summer jobs -Robin is either same age as Nancy and Jonathan or 1 year younger (17-18 y/o), also in HS and works part-time w Steve -Steve is 1 year older than Nancy and Jonathan (19 y/o) and out of HS, he landed the job at Scoops Ahoy in s3 complaining about how he /didn't/ get into college, he's rn working at the video store full-time -all the younger kids are in the first year of HS (15 y/o)
