Angela is such a bitch and all those ppl in the rink how can ppl be so inhuman it baffles me. Poor Eddie i feel so bad for him hes just dragged into all this and he cant even justify himself its so sad and unfortunate. To be honest i cant stand Mike in this Ep he was so mean to will and in a way to El as well. He isnt the boy we met in S1. At this point the storyline with Steve and Robin is Meh.. not that great but they are funny AF specially when Steve gets upset that Dustin is now friends with a Male guy- Eddie lol.

Not too mention in the very first scene of season 3 when they show it the first time there was still a pile of human flesh on the ground where the Russians evaporated so I knew right away hopper wasn’t dead.. they even show a few shots of that platform in season 3 and how far below it is.

if i were looking at this situation in a real life context, yeah smashing another girl’s face with a skate is pretty fucked up. but el is used to solving her problems with violence, and it’s probably a good thing she doesn’t have her powers because she would have done way worse. that girl did need to get hit a little though in my opinion lol

I believe that Hop did jump through the gate, he just didn't end up in the upside down. The Russians made the gate so they could get access into America without being detected. They made a portal in Kamchatka and one in Hawkins that were interconnected. So I think when Hop jumped through, he ended up on the Russian side of the gate.

Yea I miss Billy alot as well though he is dead lol and I definitely remember that alot of people didn’t really believe Hopper’s death bc It seemed weird to kill him at that point soo you can’t justify not believing deaths over this i’d say and not sure where you guys are getting these statistics 😂 i’d say around 97 percent of the time a character dies in a show they’re dead and Steve is an actual beast this season soo look forward to that and I agree that Angela deserved that .

Poor El breaks my heart. I was bullied too so it hits me to see her so upset over that horrible girl Angela. Her actress really does an amazing job as her because I hated her 😂 I was so proud of El for defending herself. You gotta stand up for yourself to ppl like Angela or they will never stop.

I agree with Spartan cuz ion know how tf Hopper survived that explosion once I rewatched the finale with yall. I was so confused and disappointed when I went back and watched this scene of him just casually jumping off to a lower platform. Its Incredibly lazy imo, just plot armor. I felt like him dying in the season 3 finale would've been a great send off to his character and would've up the stakes more since a main character died.

I dont know if you would call that plot armor. Its more like the writters reshapeing what already happened to better fit the narrative that they now just came up with. Plot armor is more like what hop has now, see since he has just been brought back it begs the question, why is he back? The logical thing to asume is that he still has a roll to play, it could be whatever but you know what 100% could not be that roll left to play? To die. Thats the one thing that you can be sure the writers didnt bring him back for since he has already done that lol. Therefore you know the writters are not gonna kill him and so every scene involving him in a dangerous situation looses all sense of weight to it. You can asume that he will survive everything he does at least on this season and probably the next. Thats plot armor.

Hop surviving by jumping over a damn fence its very stupid not gonna lie im with spartan on this one. It really gives the impression that the writters dont plan ahead that much. Im sure they knew he will be brought back but thats about it. The ending of season 3 clearly states that if you are on that room when the laser thing explotes thats it, you will be disintegrated. Also the gate is still open when we see hop for the last time, if you were to theorize how the hell would he survive that, thats the only logical think you could come up to with the information we were given. He would have jumped into the gate. My guess is that the writters realized that having him just on the upside would either be too similar to past events or more likely it wouldnt be enough for a full season story arc, so they put him all the way in russia so that way they could cover a full season story for both hop and joyce who is trying to bring him back. Kinda lazy writing

Isnt this kind of a spoiler? I mean im sure with what theyve seen so far, maybe someone could theorize that will is gay. There is a scene in s1 where they said people bullied him called him queer and that he doesnt talk to girls. But it really becomes obvious as the season goes on and i think just telling them that could take away from their reaction

I agree with Spartan over Hop surviving... It was just a plot armor to keep him alive but they could've done it better maybe let him cross the upsidedown like El did in s01. I agree with Spartan I felt meh when I saw how he did survive . Even how did they get to catch him so fast? I mean didn't American Forces break into the place right after that? That's what we saw last season. How did they manage to catch him this fast? My point is I understand Spartan's confusion 🤣

We only saw people die from the explosion from a direct energy strike. Its definitely possible that hop was able to dodge it. It would also be a little ridiculous for the lazer explosion to evaporate every living thing in that entire room.

I both love and hate this episode at the same time. Love Hop is alive. Don't like the way Mike is treating Will. I get El's frustration with being bullied, but I hate that she had to physically hurt Angela. I don't condone physical contact unless in self-defense. I really do understand how she could get pushed too far, but not cool to physically hurt someone. Vecna is the creepiest. Much to say but too spoilery.

Seriously though, I always thought Hopper jumped into the gate and was found by the soldiers on the other side, not in Hawkins. No spoilers, but when the trailer for season 4 came out and showed that monster for the first time, I thought the exact same as Pudgey, with the tentacles, it looks like Billy when he died.
