Before watching reactions I never knew how divisive the singing scene would be. I thought it was hilarious when I first watched it. From Suzies perspective she hasn't heard from Dustin and has 0 idea that he's genuinely in a world ending situation.

As an elder Millennial, it makes me sad to know that there’s a whole generation that DIDN’T grow up with The NeverEnding Story. I can see where that scene would seem silly to anyone who doesn’t know just how iconic that was in the late 80’s / early 90’s, but Stranger Things and NeverEnding Story just vibe together. Bastian would’ve definitely been part of the Stranger Things gang!

Idk why the writers wanted to make Billy’s character racist. Him being an a hole would’ve been good enough. Because of that I felt nothing when he died. Ps. I read a comment that the actor didn’t want his character to be racist so they scratched it out in season 3.

Can't wait for season 4!!! Rewatching this season really made me like Billy a bit. The flashbacks for Billy is what did it for me. I always seen him as an asshole so I never liked him but I can see why people do like him as a character. I found out that his character was meant to be racist which is why he acted the way he did to Lucas in season 2 but the actor didn't want Billy to be racist so they completely scrapped that from his character. Also It's been 3 months since Hop and Billy died so I think it's pretty reasonable they're not grieving all the time. Plus everyone didn't have an emotional connection with Hop like El, Joyce did and Max did with Billy. They're most likely still grieving just in their own way.

The Never Ending story bit will always be a top 5 Stranger Things moment for me. It encapsulates everything i love about the show. Mixing scary life threatening events with the goofiness and nostalgia of the 80s. Your meant to feel how absurd the situation is and its captured so well when it cuts to everyone’s faces. Billy's death scene is the best scene in the entire show IMO, and I think the actor Dacre Montgomery was one of the most talented actors in the show too. Season 3 is my favourite for sure, but still really excited for you guys to see 4 too.

Billy death scene and Hop's letter are 2 of the most emotional moments this ep also the memory of bill and his mom so heartbreaking. The kids saying goodbye, Will heartbroken it's all so so sad, Max too we see her sit in Billy's room and look out of the window it's just too much. Apart from that sucha brilliantly done Episode the effects, music, acting emotions everyone was top notch. Also really loved the moment Steve comes back to save Nancy and gang that was so badass. Loved Suzie and dusty nuns 😅 scene but it wasted a lot of time for the gang haha suzie is cute though and super smart must say a perfect match for Dustin. You guys are too funny Pudgey always laughing at the start which I love and the mayor joke tooo dam hilarious 🤭 love ya guys cya soon with an Epic season 4 😍

Omg that's right Benny is another B! He was the first one, not Barb! I cried so much the first time I watched this, it was unbearable. Billy's death was especially heartbreaking, with how his memories played a crucial part, and then his heroic sacrifice, and again the actor killing it, for all his bravery, he looks scared af when he's facing the Mindflayer. And Hop's letter was just too much... That scene when Joyce and Hopper talk about their date was so sus, the moment people start making plans, you just know it's not gonna happen and something is gonna come in the way! The demorgorgon music is sooo good! Season 4 is gonna be amazing, can't wait for next episode. I'm sorry Pudgey went through this car accident, it must have been especially hard to watch this episode.

As always loved the reaction you guys. It kills me to see you miss the joy behind the Neverending Story movie theme. That song was famous at that time for being the title theme to an absolutely massive kids fantasy movie series. Every kid the age of our Hawkins gang would have known it by heart. Think of this song moment as letting off a tiny bit of pressure considering how they are about to crush your hearts. This is why I’ve been asking if there isn’t a way to get you guys to watch “homework” material related to some of the content you’ll be watching to prepare. This particular series pays off more if you have seen certain movies that were popular just before and during the years this show covers. Season 4 draws a bit less from movies like that than its predecessors. I share your pain on Billy and Hop. But their exit scenes… on one hand the longer Joyce took to close the gate the closer to death Billy got. But the sooner she turned the key, the sooner Hop would die. The tragedy is that her timing was too late for Billy AND too fast for Hop. Speaking of, sit back and relax for what’s to come. Remember past shows where favorite characters were killed and though it sucked, it was necessary for the story to become even more engaging and amazing and pack more interesting characters and surprises. I wish I could enjoy the ride of this next season for the first time again but it’ll be awesome hanging here with yall two. Also is it just me or does one of those Russian guards at the end look familiar… as if maybe he could handle being away from the sunlight as long as he has a comrade and a bottle of stolichnaya? Hmm… I wonder if El’s powers are dormant because she caused herself such painful trauma using them for her leg surgery that she has a sort of PTSD from using them. Ps. I think the rule of B’s still stands if you apply it specifically to deaths caused by the forces of the upside down vs regular deaths. You’re about to move into the part of the 80’s where everyone was afraid due to satanic panic….. beware!! Cheers to another great video! It’s been a fun night with you guys! I was the same way when I finished, I was fuming and depressed at Hops death. I differed from you and others though as I wasn't a fan of Billy. He had a troubled life but he was an asshole, it's not an acceptable excuse. Honestly his death was sad but with Hop dying it overshadowed Billys death. Steve, Hop, El, and Dustin are my favorites. So excited for Season 4 this week!! Just be happy you guys don't have to wait 2 years for the next season like we did!

Great episode, great reaction 👍 Like you, and probably everybody else, I had the same gripe: that duet from Dustin and Suzie was very unnecessary, unrealistic, and way too long. One other thing for me was that I remember Mike explaining that closing the gate wouldn't be enough, and that they had to kill the Mindflayer too (or it would just go into another host). Well, they closed the gate, but I didn't see them kill the Mindflayer at all. It just fell down because the gate closed. Funny to see 2 aussies arguing how to pronounce things 😂 (I pronounce it the same way as Spartan though. I wouldn't want to call the mayor a female horse 😋)

I agree that there is no bad season of ST though I do think 1 & 4 are the strongest. Each season has strengths and weaknesses, for example the best thing about Season 3 for me is that it is well balanced in giving every character something important to do and not sidelining Eleven till the season finale, she’s actually involved from the get go and interacts with everyone throughout the season unlike season 2. The biggest weakness for season 3 for me is some of the characters become a bit sitcom-y. I.e. the characters become a bit too goofy, Notably Steve, Erica, and Hopper when he’s having those arguments with Joyce and comes off a bit too crazy. I’m glad that they pull this back for season 4 and the characters become a bit more serious, and back to where they were originally.

Omg, where to start... this episode destroyed me, the way I cried... I will never forgive them for breaking my heart like this and to be honest I gave up watching ST after this, but then I couldn't resisted. Billy deserved so much more, he really deserved a second chance, i really wanted him to stay alive. He redeemed himself and he win me over. I wish i could see more of him . Hop, a true hero, a true father, a true friend, and the way he smiled at the end...his speech.. heart breakin! I felt the same way as you, I just wanted to cry in peace as if I had lost someone close to me. On another hand, the way they brought a musical into the episode in the middle of the chaos, everyone reacted the same way to Suzie Poo and Dusti Bun's music, like WTF? Anyways, it was a loving moment despite the stress. Side note, we all knew Pudgey would cry and we were excited to see it. Didn't disapoint (don't get us wrong, we only want to see you cry with tv shows), and Spartan, we know you are hurting but we admire the way you handled it (could never be me). This season ended on such a sad note, so many goodbyes...It was incredible, no words for this ending. It's been really nice to revisit all these emotions with you, an awesome journey. Thanks for bring us joy, laugh and tears and for sharing all this goood moments with us. Now, please, for the sake of a fam (fan), take a deep breath, sit tight and get ready for S4. I love all the main characters. Billy and Hop at the end... I can't. El reading Hops letter got me big time. Millie Bobby Brown purposely didn't read that letter until the end of that scene and she did not see it until then.
