We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. Dune Part 2 (2024) Movie Uncut Reaction

SILENCE! Love that line. I hope there will be at least 2 more movies. 2 movies for the children of dune and 1 or 2 for dune massiah. :)

Could not of said It better.

Stilgar screaming Lisan Al-Gaib hits a bit different at the end. It's funny throughout that he blind just throws it around but when it finally sets in that paradise means billions of people dying for a cause - him yelling it at the end is incredibly tragic and dark. I do recommend if you choose to rewatch this, view Paul as more of a tragic circumstance of manufactured faith. He's a hero/prophecy to those who can't see the chess moves being made from the outside.

Brandon Corcoran

paul not a hero

JSM -Tac

Wht did they say about him?

JSM -Tac

With people like the Harkonnens (specifically them), the Emperor and the Bene Gesserit, this questions is obsolete. If you do not kill people for fun, are less vindictive and manipulative, you deserve any chance there is.

Joel Quinn

YES Spartan. I walked away thinking the same thing at the end: "Are we the baddies?" Absolutely love these two movies. Phenomenal acting, incredible story telling, and stunning cinematography.

Toan Toan

Exact same feeling!

Gurney is also an extremely good fighter. In the books Duncan says Gurney is a better fighter than him and Gurney has a reputation as a great fighter. Paul is a ridiculously good fighter, they show his prowess in the movie but he is an even better fighter in the book than the film would suggest. I think this was an effective way to relate that to the movie audience without having to spend a bunch of extra time or some sloppy exposition, which is what a lot of movies would have done, unfortunately.

SuddenImpulse

Don’t know if y’all will get a chance to see this in theaters where y’all are at. We had a re-release/extension here. It’s soooo worth it. Such a masterpiece film.

🤣🤣🤣

CpaSpartan Pudgey

Greatest sci fi movie ever for me. The story, acting, cinematography, score…. Incredible

Nathan Cutter

Lisan al Gaib!!! As written!! I was Stilgar throughout this movie 😂 Watching this on imax was an incredible experience 🤯 This 2nd watch was just as enjoyable thanks to you guys! Sláinte!

Pudgey's left shoulder was the star of this reaction!

Villeneuve really tried everything that people wouldn’t perceive Paul as a hero. More as a warning. And some people still think there is a right side. Even when we literally see visions of millions of People dying and Paul’s development to the more dark side. He literally was scared from his future self. That’s why he tried everything to stay in the north. Also Chani is used very clever in this film. She gives us a more critical view of Paul.

Rey Jr

Glad to see you left Pudgey's giggle in at the end. Feels more natural :)

Yusuf

Interesting. I took it as Paul knew how to defeat Feyd because of the narrow path. But I've never read the books either so I don't know! Lol

Chris Mcbrayer

Getting to see them watch Star Wars after Dune will be fascinating to watch! I can't think of many people who I've seen get that experience.

Chris Mcbrayer

AMAZING!!! Thank you both so much! See you again for Dune: Messiah❤️Let me clarify something about Paul’s powers tho: The abilities that allow Paul to see various futures is called “Prescience”. It’s not unique to Paul, he’s simply the most proficient at it due to him being the Kwisatz Haderach. The one limit of Prescience however is that you cannot see futures containing other people proficient with prescience. Feyd is another bloodline the Bene Gesserit have cultivated, and as a result also has a degree of prescience. That is why Paul couldn’t see the outcome of his fight with Feyd, or the attack on Sietch Tabr. If anything it makes his fight with Feyd more impressive: he won on his own physical strength

Invisigoth99

FYI, Rabban was made to be a bitch in this film to make Paul look like an actual power player (not just some kid playing war) and to make Feyd more menacing and calculating. For example, Rabban is established as this angry murderous guy with a fleet of soldiers behind him making it feel like the Fremen are in danger, but when it came to actually facing Paul, the latter is actually ten steps ahead and Rabban is nowhere near that level. Same case for Feyd, where Rabban is afraid of failing Baron, but Feyd isn't afraid to say he'll drown his uncle after the arena games. And of course that scene where Feyd takes Rabban down to show that he is a notch above his brother. Also proven by Feyd succeeding where Rabban didn't in crippling the Fremen in the North. Rabban was a narrative tool to make people appear powerful.

The scene with the sandworm approaching Paul before he tames it was an absolute banger in IMAX. It sounded like a rocket taking off, this movie was a whole different experience in the theater.

Alex I.

This movie is beautiful.

As written!

As much as I love Dune 1 , it’s really not close to Dune 2 imo, also Timothee chalamet absolutely killed it this film, same goes for Austin butler who arguably gave the best performance of this film as the menacing Feyd Rautha harkonnen, probably of the best villains of the last decade with such little screentime as well as Paul who is such a great character and very comparable to Anakin Skywalker…I do love how you guys always underestimate villains in fights lol, did the same with homelander and then act surprised when they do well in the fights 😂.

Omgggggg

Bel

“Perfect juices” she said. 🤣🤣 My buddy and I used to follow each other around gesturing to the heavens everytime the other did anything hollering “As written!!!” LISAN AL GAYIIIIIIIIIiiiiiibbbb

Veilsix

Paul is not a hero, nor is he really a villain in the classical sense. Even though he's using the prophecies to manipulate the Fremen, he does truly fall in love with the Fremen culture. While Paul is horrified by his visions of the future, ultimately, he still chooses a path that leads towards the horrors. Herbert wrote this story as a warning about charismatic leaders and the dangers of following someone like this.

***IMPORTANT MOD MESSAGE PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING**** CLARIFYING DUNE PART 1+2 IS FINE! SPOILERS FOR THE FUTURE STORY IS NOT! THEY **WILL** BE DELETED/S&P WILL NOT READ THEM SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Thank you for your patronage on this journey! I am looking forward to their reactions to other Villeneuve movies at some point in the future, myself =)

SuddenImpulse

Are you guys gonna watch the 1980s Dune or the miniseries at some point ?

Kiran Mykoo

LISAN AL GAIB

Fonzee

Perfect timing for a movie night

Danny

I just bought it digitally since it was essentially the same price as renting it, just a few bucks more. Should go down to normal rent price in a few months. Late this year or early next year I'll get the 4K physical disc set for both movies probably.

SuddenImpulse

Thanks for all your hard work guys. Been waiting for this on pins and needles. Lets go!

Farbod

Haven’t seen it yet I’m excited to watch is there any recommendations on places to watch or rent from

Dominic

AS IT WAS WRITTEN!!!!!

SuddenImpulse

I liked the "I feel like if I had been there" line in the first film because then when it came to that scene, Duncan intentionally shut paul out to protect him. Leaving paul to feel like if he could have been on the other side with Duncan then he could have saved him.

FullMetal B

LETS GO, usually I would never rent a movie for $25, but to watch with you guys? Fuck it!

Alex Ocean
