I think they were possibly mixing this episode with the idea of parts of the swamp episode possibly. They all got separated and faced stuff from their past. That’s at least what it reminded me of a little bit. I liked that they included their backstories. I especially liked katara’s and Anngs moment with Gyotso. Without thinking of the cartoon, I think this episode is fine and is a good episode. When comparing it to the cartoon I can see how people could get upset with all of the changes.
