I find their reaction to Caesar interesting. I just remember in the first book, I think Katniss’ inner monologue was that he had the tributes’ best interest at heart and tried to bring out the best of them during the talk show. Like it was emphasised that he never tried to shame or put any one down because the interviews were so important to the tributes’ media persona. Without that framing, its interesting to see that he comes off more as a phony/snake in the movies, at least from Spartan and Pudgey’s perspective. I always saw him as neutral and just doing his job, not necessarily outright on the bad side but more a product of his environment like Effie

She's so naturally likeable and bubbly and cool that playing someone like Katniss who is stoic and not super likeable is really well done. That and the little bit where she's acting as Katnis acting terribly is really cool when you think about the layers to it.

Absolutely stellar performance, its consistent and genuine. I really like her other stuff too. ( I thought Red Sparrow and Don't Look Up was amazing ). The last movie will not disappoint, really looking forward to it. That was a really sweet moment at the end guys your chemistry is obvious and the back and forth is very entertaining to watch. : )

He wasn’t in one during or before the games. poor guy he’s contributed so much to the capital and they’ve only continued to take from him. Epic reaction thank you!

2024-02-13 11:33:55 +0000 UTCI really liked this movie the more i saw it...It has arguably the slowest pace BUT...It's got a very interesting concept going. First Jennifer Lawrence could not be more incredible, a lot of this franchise rests on her shoulder and she really brings it and in this movie they really get you to see just how inspirational to these people she can be without trying and why such movements can organize behind symbols and people like her (almost in spite of herself)...This movie is also a REALLY interesting look at war...From a perspective we don't often see it from... This is the story of a rebellion but rather than making it an action spectacle there seems to be a deliberate distance from combat itself...The glimpses of it we get make us realize how destructive and terrifying it is; yet most of the time we see how it is fought backstage through propaganda and intelligence and how you push it to come to life from the shadows; and as you picked up on; we also see a sort of distance between casualty and people and even the leaders who purport to fight for the people to free them- like you said Snow used Katniss...and now the Rebellion uses Katniss; and a bit sadly, this is how this game of politics is played..Notable scenes in this- the Hanging Tree sung by rebels as they storm the Dam...Incredible; I get goosebumps every time; the moment she visits the hospital, amazing...Gale was a great character in this one also....Please don't make us wait too long for Part 2 pretty please :)
