Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. last movie Johanna said there was no one left she loved, this movie finnick explained if the president sold them into prostitution & they didn't comply they would kill someone they loved. It's heavily implied Johanna didn't comply hence the statement she made in the last film "he can't hurt me, there's no one left I love"

District 2 = Defense and masonry (Peacekeepers) District 3 = Technology (Beetee's District) District 4 = Fishing (Finnick's District) District 5 = Electricity District 6 = Transportation District 7 = Lumber (Johanna's District) District 8 = Textiles District 9 = Grain District 10 = Livestock District 11 = Agriculture (Rue) District 12 = Coal mining District 13 = Nuclear weaponry The scene where the people climbed the trees took place in District 7 (lumber). And the scene with the bombing at the dam took place in District 5 (electricity).

Maybe it’s the slower pace that makes people think this movie isn’t as good as the other ones. I’ve never quite put my finger on it but I think you might’ve got it. I guess The other hunger games may people think every movie was going to be high-speed action but of course the story doesn’t go that way and it’s better that it didn’t go that way.

2024-02-11 05:12:38 +0000 UTCI really liked this movie the more i saw it...It has arguably the slowest pace BUT...It's got a very interesting concept going. First Jennifer Lawrence could not be more incredible, a lot of this franchise rests on her shoulder and she really brings it and in this movie they really get you to see just how inspirational to these people she can be without trying and why such movements can organize behind symbols and people like her (almost in spite of herself)...This movie is also a REALLY interesting look at war...From a perspective we don't often see it from... This is the story of a rebellion but rather than making it an action spectacle there seems to be a deliberate distance from combat itself...The glimpses of it we get make us realize how destructive and terrifying it is; yet most of the time we see how it is fought backstage through propaganda and intelligence and how you push it to come to life from the shadows; and as you picked up on; we also see a sort of distance between casualty and people and even the leaders who purport to fight for the people to free them- like you said Snow used Katniss...and now the Rebellion uses Katniss; and a bit sadly, this is how this game of politics is played..Notable scenes in this- the Hanging Tree sung by rebels as they storm the Dam...Incredible; I get goosebumps every time; the moment she visits the hospital, amazing...Gale was a great character in this one also..

Never understood the hate about these last ones, but I never read the books and I've heard the last part of this story is pretty crazy in the books. Edit: Hey, Spartan was right about Cressida. Natalie Dormer also played Margery Tyrell in GoT. She's apparently a huge nerd, which makes sense when you see her in shows and movies in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres. She also makes a brief appearance in the first Captain America movie.

Rewatches makes me realise more and more how much I hate Gale😂you should also react to the prequel after the next one definitely. Peeta is too good for this world as Haymitch basically said in catching fire.

People see a couple of takes and then take them as there own instead of trying to think about them from different angles or they often comment on a film based on what they want it to be rather than what it is so then they focus super hard on the things they see as negatives and I'm always like damn the people are very strict lmao Each installment has a different tone for a purpose imo. These represent the consequences post games. I see MJ1 as more of a dystopian political thriller than a n action adventure type of thing. And I think that if people looked at it from that lens, they might be able to see it differently. It's important for us to understand where everyone is emotionally, psychologically etc. Not to mention how relevant the themes of this film are to the events of what's going on even now in our world. I think the last two films, but particularly this one are extremely underrated and overhated. I personally don't love the prequel at all because I don't think it captures enough of the book but I do think its important to see to understand the world that we are dropped in on in the first HG film. So glad that yall have been so open minded and are enjoying the series as much as so many of us do. Looking forward to the next one!

2024-02-09 18:30:03 +0000 UTCGreat reaction as always guys. I think the Mockingjays are the best two movies in the series but for some reason some people don’t agree I don’t know y. This was originally my favorite one. I also disagree on Gale. I thought I would see more people commenting and how they don’t like him I just think after Catching fire The character is unrealistically elevated to create conflict with the “love triangle.” Why would district 13 have a untrained civilian so involved in military talks? How is he treated like a solider? There’s no way Coin and other leaders would have just let Gale just get power and status from just being Katniss’s friend. Even Finnick would have been more realistic at least he was apart of the plan and implemented it but I still don’t think they would’ve let him do all the things they let Gale do. I respect him helping save ppl when they were carpet bombed ofc but That’s like the only Gale moment I enjoyed. I always love the Mockingjay is because as great is the world is built in the first two movies I think the struggle between the districts in our victors becomes one in these two movies and I think that is such a strong way to end this series. Also just answer your question at the beginning I definitely think you guys have cried more with the first two hunger games especially pudgy. This is definitely the most I’ve seen both of you cry.

Jennifer Lawrence is killing it as Katniss, but you got the likes of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Woody Harrelson, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks and Donald Sutherland as supporting cast is pretty damn stacked. That's like 4 Oscar winners not even counting all the other awards and nominations these people have. And yes, that was indeed Natalie Dormer aka Margaery Tyrell from GoT, love her as well! I used to think that these movies were decent at best when I first saw them years ago but after watching all full length (so far) reactions with S&P I have to upgrade my rating to pretty good movies overall. I think it's partly because of your reactions, really enjoyable so far. The second one was my favorite but looking forward to the final one.

2024-02-09 08:40:49 +0000 UTCAnd the drop off begins lol, this film is ok but the first 2 are great…And they underused finnick I thought after how good he was in catching fire and president Snow is really smart lol and the actor is great , did Spartan really say that they haven’t wasted a minute, this film is slow alot of time and I find it funny the complaints u had in some harry potter films was it being slow and yet every single Harry Potter film is more critically acclaimed and better than this film by a long shot maybe besides the first hp film…But I can’t blame U fully, this community truly ruined your guy’s reactions considering almost every reaction I’ve ever seen to HP seemed more invested but that’s just my opinion…You guys didn’t understand the films especially the last one and most reactors never read the books and understood and loved it alot more …

President Snow is such an interesting villain to me, even though he's the bad guy, I love the presence that he has. Great acting in these films. So excited for part 2! Also yes, that was Margaery.

But you guys are so great I stayed around for another month to see if you guys would watch anything else I liked. I went to go unsubscribe and it was bittersweet and then I saw you guys were watching the hunger games I was like they got me for another month!
