The next movie gets bigger and and more complex. I look forward to seeing each of your takes on how the larger story begins to unfold.

You guys did really well with this one having missed the hype when it originally came out and not having read the books. The books are great though and Hunger Games is definitely having its renaissance at the moment. It’s funny though how suspicious you guys are of everyone, love to see how your thoughts will change after the next one. As you probably know it’s a favorite! I’ll def watch the uncut for that one. Edit: i know it’s easy to hate the tributes from the Careers Districts, especially with how they act. But I do think it’s worth noting that even though the prestige districts have their advantages at the end every district has to bleed, even the privileged. And what can you do in such a horror show but act as they expect for you to? Not to say there are no villains, but they are all teenagers sent to die so there’s a grey area as well.

2024-01-29 22:44:23 +0000 UTCI don’t know whether this was the intention but I always thought Peeta was playing the smart game the whole time, I don’t think him teaming up with the career pack was just for self-preservation. He knew the audience liked him so he sold the love story in the run up to the games to get them on board with Katniss and then teamed up with the career pack so that the audience would turn on him and put their support (and sponsorship) behind Katniss therefore increasing her chances of winning
