Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync. Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen. Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0. Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:
- Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously
- Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side
- Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop
- HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)
- Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

I start the reaction video on my iPad and the actual movie on my TV (HBO Europe) at the exact same time but after a few minutes the movies is further ahead than the reaction video. I even started the reaction video a few seconds earlier but even then after a few minutes the movie ‘catches up’. I do not have this problem with other reaction videos/movies.

2024-01-26 10:51:39 +0000 UTCWhen a tribute wins, they are rewarded with a house in what's known as "Victor's Village" with their family, as well as all their material needs taken care of for the rest of their lives. Their district is also granted food and other rewards for that year - So with the "career tributes" (D1, D2, & D4) training all their lives and winning almost every year, you can see why they're so strong and their districts are better off compared to others... And so the cycle continues. They win because they're fed and trained, and they can train because they don't have to spend their lives focused on survival. They see the games as an honour, where volunteering is competitive and normal. And yes, the system where children trade their names in more times for food is partially meant to encourage the adults to keep having children. The poor have to take out what they can to survive, which even then might not be enough, resorting them to take illegal measures (like Katniss hunting in the woods and trading at the black market). The relatively well off people in District 12, like Peeta's family, have never had to put their name in more times. This is designed to keep the districts divided and make social disparities between the classes even bigger.

Also to note the 3 finger salute is used in district 12 to honor the dead/saying goodbye to love ones :(( also gale is not katniss’s boyfriend he’s a friend/hunting partner she’s known since they were kids when her father passed so they are close since they help keep each other’s family’s alive. Also fun fact peeta is actually pointing at Catos hand at the end signaling katniss to shoot there!

2024-01-26 05:45:16 +0000 UTCGale's name is in 42 times because of repeated disobedience... caught stealing, talking back to a Peacekeeper, etc etc. Any excuse they can find to add your name in the bowl, they'll do it. So yes, one for every year but one for every disobedient act too. Oh! and something else to think about - Mentors are people who've previously won the Hunger Games. So not only is Haymitch dealing with his own PTSD, he has to tell people how to survive and, before Katniss, no one from District 12 had SINCE Haymitch. So he's lost a lot of people over the years.

I love Woody Harrelson in this movie - he reminds me of Saul if Saul drank a lot :) Elizabeth Banks is funny as well (she plays Effie). Love the dramedy with her, and she is so in La La Land in thinking it is ok for children to kill each other. The main cast is stellar. Jennifer Lawrence, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland. It is scary how they can manipulate the environment to do what they want it to to give an advantage or disadvantage to some of the do i dare say "contestants." Like a horror movie game show.

But, the actor who played Caesar in Gladiator did play the first Dumbledore... This whole Hunger Games is all political Caesar Flickerman (the tv host) is played by Stanley Tucci who is one of my favorite actors...he played in Captain America as the inventor of the super soldier serum. Not sure you guys picked up on it, but Haymitch is from District 12. He was a previous champion of the games and was now a mentor for new tributes.

The actor you are thinking of was Richard Harris, who is no longer with us. Donald Sutherland is alive and also a legend of Hollywood as he he has been a brilliant actor for over 60 years.

I love Jennifer Lawrence but it's always kinda weird to me because she acts and looks so much like my sister haha, my sister even gets told that quite a bit. Especially when these movies were first coming out. Anyway can't wait to watch :)

While I would have recommended watching it first, I think there are pros and cons doing it first, so its not a big deal. Def watch it tho.
