2024-01-15 05:50:38 +0000 UTCAm I the only one who watched this show and was routing for Walt to turn things around and have a redemption arc? Does every one else just want to give up on him like Skyler, his wonderful and "faithful" wife of 20 years or so. I believe that Walter always had this bad side to him, which means I also believe that he still has the good side of him as well. If we don't believe that people can change then that kind of strips away their humanity and takes some of the joy out of watching any show. I mean we shouldn't write Walter off like Jesse's parents wrote him off should we? I mean if Walter can break bad then he can also break good, right? I just think it's more enjoyable to believe that anyways.

There are hints from the start about who Walt really is as a person. Jesse is far from perfect, but at his core he is very obviously a much better person than Walt is. Vince Gilligan has talked about it several times
