Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

KNEW IT!!!

Yeah i think we basically find out later that Light has tons of faults and his idea of justice is pretty messed up.

Christian

The question about justice is interesting, because from the first two episodes we see that what Light writes down names that he hears in the news of convicted or I'm guessing criminals on the run. If we're talking about convicted criminals alone, he basically chooses to apply the death penalty. So here the question is do criminals deserve to die, or do they deserve a chance to be redeemed? Are people just useful or useless, or is there a bigger reason why some people turn to crime? Is it sometimes because of their circumstances? In which case, no matter how many criminals he kills, if society itself doesn't change, he will always have criminals to eliminate, and this perfect world is just a utopia. Then there's another question that Pudgey brought on during episode 1 is that the law isn't perfect either, sometimes people are convicted but maybe they had their own reasons for committing that crime, or maybe they were innocent and wrongly convicted, and Light doesn't seem to look into each case in depth before passing judgement, he just sees a face, hears a name, writes it down on the Death Note and makes that process as efficient and quick as possible. Also based on this episode it seems like one of Light's biggest flaw is his arrogance and he'll have to keep that in check. If he hadn't responded to L's taunting with so much pride maybe he would have suspected that this was a trap.

I am so glad to be able to watch this alongside Breaking Bad with you guys. Good choice for sure. If "Better Call Saul" takes Breaking Bads spot, ill be even more thrilled.

Pudgey was right, it was English class in the original

Glad you guys are enjoying it! Only gets better from here. I was laughing my ass off last episode where Pudgey was saying, they dumped all this info on us and I cant even imagine where we go from here. Well, now ya see. Took them only 40 minutes to set up one of the greatest games of cat and mouse in entertainment history
