This. Though I wouldn't call her a teenager really, young adult more like ^^ It's been 3 years so she's 21 atm (17 in book 1, 18 in books 2 and 3)

Pudgey nails it on the head there. I think what may help Spartan realize the problem for Korra is: Her power was her strength. Her entire life she was strong. However, for 3 seasons now she's been losing. Yeah she defeated the bad guy in the end but she always lost something (something Spartan even commented on in the finale of season 3). Basically season 3's finale events were the straw that broke the camel's back for Korra's mental state. She's incredibly strong both physically and mentally (not so much spiritually of course, that was more Aang's thing), and she lost her physical strength due to the poison for quite a while and mentally she's been broken too. I think personally that's why she's fighting in the pits in this episode, just as a way to try and force herself to realize her strength, but she's hesitant, causing her to lose, which in turn causes her to pretty much "reaffirm" her believed weakness. Sadly this is something that happens in real life quite often if someone doesn't have the proper support structure, and sadly Korra never had that. She has loving friends but unfortunately that's rarely enough to overcome deep depression. Anyway, season 4 is tied for favorite with season 3 for me. I love Korra's new look (and the new look for a lot of the other gangs), I love how personal this season is. I think you'll love the rest of it too ^^

Guys please turn off your captions for the 2nd episode because they contain a spoiler

Korra might not physically be in a wheelchair anymore but mentally she is. Her mental health is in a bad state. Zaheer poisoned her and almost killed her. That would be traumatizing for anyone. Not to mention all the events that happened to her in season 1 and 2. At some point, everyone reaches a mental breaking point and I think that’s where Korra is at. She’s still just a teenager too

PTSD is a real thing my friend. Pray you never experience it

Not A Spoiler - Kuvira (The Great Uniter) is the guard from the end of S3, who saved Tonraq.
