Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

3 key “one minute” references I noticed for the first time after about the 10th viewing of this episode. 1. Tio asks how long the other brother would last while being drowned in the water - “maybe one minute?” 2. Skyler asks Walt for a minute to talk. After the talk, Walt already begins working out his “get Jesse to drop the charges” plan. 3. Hanks mystery “one minute” call. Also, I’m sure everyone else noticed this - the clock in Hank’s vehicle said 3:07 when he received the “one minute” call. This is episode 307. Great episode and reaction!!

I think Hank interpreted the fact that Jesse is not pressing charges as sign of the universe as well. That's why he is smiling and looking up in the elevator after his former boss told him that. He thinks that it is a reward for him finally making the right decision. Imagine feeling that way, feeling that sense of hope and a new, different life ahead of you, just to get shot 10 minutes later.

Yes, the temperature thing was clearly an excuse to get rid of Gale as he wanted Jesse back for self-preservation. But let's not act like Jesse doesn't stuff up a lot, what exactly did Walt make up about Jesse stuffing up?

Hari Randhawa

The one minute scene is top tier tv.

Skitzobunny

Skyla asked for help...then walt suddenly can't work with Gayle..crystal clear

I definitely agree more with Pudgey’s take on the Hank thing in the intro. It always felt like the reason for Hank passing up the El Paso promotion was much more related to his fear and ptsd from his first experience there than having really anything to do with leads in the Heisenberg case. It feels like that scene with Hanks boss was put there intentionally to show that everyone else in the office is aware he’s just using the leads to cope but doesn’t want to admit it. And they don’t believe they are true leads but we as the audience know he actually kinda is on to something.

I believe Walt makes up the stuff about Jesse messing up at least half of the time. Walt looks for any reason to be superior and the top dog. Same crap he said about Gale - nothing wrong, Walter needed to cover his own a**.

Lyn Hurst

Aaron Paul’s performance was masterful And when Hank was trying to reload the gun with the brother coming with the axe I was so on edge. Keep up the reactions guys loving them :)

I viewed that scene a little differently.. In my opinion, the scene is also actually about Marie.. I mean, Hank is the one "confessing" but the camera is focused on Marie, she's able to understand and see Hank "clearly" now.. A couple of episodes ago can't remember which.. Marie was saying to Skylar how she's worried about Hank.. He won't talk to her, barely eating and sleeping, won't share or let her in.. and now in this episode, Hank has finally broke down a little and has had a "moment of clarity", now he's able to share with Marie and in turn she's able to see and understand him more clearly, The other view also rings true as well though.. imo..

I love Jesse but should Walt treat him good when he messes up so often, obviously I don’t condone Walt’s actions but Jesse snitching to Jane led to her blackmailing Walt and his family which led to him not saving her which also saved Jesse from an eventual overdose which was very likely and also saved Walt from her blackmailing him . And her saying that she still might snitch even after Walt handed over the money was so stupid, honestly she basically killed herself by saying that.

Great performance from Aaron Paul , but in the hospital, Walt said Jesse’s meth was as good as his to make him feel better not because it is like Jesse’s meth is really good but probably no more than 90 percent pure in s3 . Walt is 99 percent pure , not sure how y’all think someone who doesn’t really understand chemistry can be as good as someone who is a master chemist.

JonSnow21

I disagree completely, I think it obviously had something to do with the charges but he also got bored with gale and wanted Jesse back

JonSnow21

and jesse’s feelings are so valid walt has treated him like shit. and jesse doesn’t even know that walt essentially killed jane, but he feels that walt has helped take everything else from him. i feel for jesse so much, i love him.

kallista

i think i was talking about this in the spoilers chat, but oh my god aaron paul’s performance when jesse is telling walt why he won’t accept the offer to work with him. extremely powerful.

kallista

To think that he was a fairly inexperienced actor before this show is amazing.

Lyn Hurst

So on edge... This is in full swing now. Great reaction. Pudgey I never thought of Hank in that scene being blurred out almost. Good catch and analogy - his being a shadow of his former self. Although thankfully he wants to do the right thing. That is the part he lost and regained.

Lyn Hurst

I debated doing that too, its nice having a setup and a delivery so close to each other.

Richard Flores

I think when the screen is filtered with that yellow/brown tint it’s supposed to be in Mexico. El Paso is in the United States (State of Texas) and is one of (if not) the closest US cities to Mexico.

James Woodford

This episode turned Breaking Bad from a great show to the greatest show.

Demented Avenger

I really think you're off on Walt's relationship with Gale. Gale was pretty clearly a dream for Walt to work with--almost a kindred spirit. I don't think he missed working with Jesse at all. He sabotaged his relationship with Gale and asked for him to be removed purely to get Jesse to drop the charges and to protect himself. Maybe also a bit of guilt about what happened to Jesse.

Kate

Hank and Jesse are the best characters in the show

Cal

Hank is tough as nails aint nobody taking him out

Bob Marley

Aaron Paul has so many great scenes as Jesse in this show, and they just get better. It's unbelievable how good of an actor he is

Pogger White

Jesse is right about Walt

Rich Plumb

Saving Hank probably was part of the reason Walt offered to partner with Jesse. He said to Skyler that they weren't family but he does still care about Hank.

Munir

This episode is top 10 for sure. I'll never forget the first time watching this.

Daniel Castro

Jesse was overreacting in the hospital. He does that often...

Justin

These can't be your favorites
