Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

I haven't watched all of the uncuts, so if this has come up already, please excuse me for bringing it up again: has anyone remarked on the way color is used in the show? I find it fascinating. Both Skyler and Walt were wearing green in this episode as they were making big decisions related to money. And I just want to see Marie's full closet. How can anyone have that much purple? Also, I kind of want her purple tea kettle.

Lolilie

No Walter is just on edge due to being cucked by Ted lol

I’m sorry but it’s not at all their formula, it’s Walt’s formula, he created it because he’s a chemistry genius, Jesse barely understands chemistry, just knows how to replicate Walt’s but just not as good soo he definitely has a right to not want Jesse to steal his formula and make money just like how Gretchen and Elliot also made millions from Walt’s work.

TheRoguePrince19

Yeah, their reaction was weird, I actually really liked Walt in this scene, and Jesse was annoying AF.

Milorad

I think you two are being a little blindsighted here about the dynamic between Walt and Jessie. There was nothing remotely appropriate about Jessie cooking Walt's formula without his consent. The recipe and know-how are all the result of Walt - why would he just hand that over to Jessie for nothing? Walter's sentiments are further exacerbated by what others have already mentioned about his past with Gray Matter. Jessie is also being hypocritical by trying to leverage the fact that he and Walt are business partners and hence that justifies him to cook Walt's formula on his own but then he becomes upset and acts entitled when he only receives half the earnings from the sale. You mentioned that Walt is power-playing in Saul's office but who instigated a negotiation with Saul and then started the meeting by insulting Walt before claiming a 10% stake would be charity even though the product is effectively Walt's trademark? Put yourself in Walt's shoes and see if you would be happy with someone else profiting from your idea without your permission. This episode is to some degree showcasing Jessie's selfishness which is shown in the opening scene in addition to his interactions with Walt later. It is unfortunate that many viewers including yourselves continue to see Jessie through the lens of an innocent victim when the show so obviously is trying to portray the good and the bad elements in many of its characters.

When you were talking about Jesse coming as a proud child with his cook, and Walts reaction and my formula and his emotions surrounding that. just thought of this, think about with Grey Matter how Walts own work was used to make money that he didnt get any of and others took credit for it which he also got none of, so I think theres some cross over with that, Walts formula being HIS propietery thing and thats why there's these emotions and reactions surrouding it

Hugh S

Shouldn’t matter if Walt is quitting the game right? Walt sucks ass.

Chad-gon Targaryen

Just realized the next couple of episodes are actually insane, so hyped!

Pablo

It's not about Jesse being malicious or not. It's plain and simple for Walt, he actually believes this is his formula and his genius and feels he has "copyrights" to it, and simply shared it with Jesse at some point but never gave him permission to use it on his own AND treat him this way when Walt disapproves. That's not to mention that the blue meth is technically Heisenberg's signature, and it's only normal for him to refuse an average quality copied product to be linked to his name. I don't necessarily like their rivalry, but I get Walt's perspective.

HDN

Just didn't seem like a Skylar colour originally...

People always just take Jesse's side no matter what even though they both equally treat each other like shit the entire time. I think Jesse is just a more relatable character and younger so people overlook a lot of his glaring flaws.

Gemineye

Keep in mind that Walt finding out about Jesse using his formula without his consent struck such a strong nerve with him because it’s reminiscent of how “Gray Matter Technologies” went on to make millions using his research, but refused to cut him in or give him credit. So, from a character motivation pov, I completely understand Walt’s reaction.

Kris Brown

Why would you expect Walter to voluntarily take Jesse back under his wing and include him in his new venture with Gus after the way Jesse spoke to him in Saul's office? Jesse just called him a freeloading lazy person who would just be receiving a charitable 10% from Jesse's future cookings -- Jesse refused to follow Walt's request that he stop using his trademark blue product that he came up with. Jesse and Walt were partners only in the product that they worked together on-- the blue meth product was something that Walter figured out on his own through his knowledge of advanced chemistry. Jesse had no input on that. Gus and Walt worked out the 3 million dollar deal between themselves -- Jesse wasn't involved in any of that.

man just wait Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul are actually 2 of the best fucking actors I have ever seen and it only gets better and better each season, like the scene that made pudgey emotional with the way walt simply looked at the the baby and then at skyler when she lets him take her. So much detail in his facial expressions. Some of the best acting out there

Sebz

Especially since they’ll be reacting to Better Call Saul after this 😏 (hopefully) 🤞

Matt DSM

Leave it to Pudgey to notice the change in lipstick colors in the middle of a scene 😅

Bryce

The next two episodes of Breaking Bad cement the show as the greatest of all time. And it doesn't slow down from there.
